Scandinavia and Finland : Services and Fares leaflet : British Railways (Eastern Region) : 1960 by mikeyashworth Via Flickr: One of the series of leaflets issued by British Railways describing long-distance European rail travel using the then many ferry crossings to the Continent. Many of these steamer servces were at the time owned and operated by British Railways. Issued biannually, for Summer and Winter Seasons, the editions usually had different covers relating to the country or groups of countries the leaflet related to. At the time, prior to widespread air travel and the Channel Tunnel, the various ferry services, and allied train connections, were the main option for most travellers. These were commissioned from a range of artists and designers and this series, for Winter 1960/61, feature artworks by Reginald Lander (1930 - 1980) who undertook many commissions for British Railways and other clients. As well as the BR totem the covers also, unusually, feature the badge of the C.I.E.C., the European Railway Information Centre based in Rome who were the trans-national European railway organisation allied to the International Union of Railways. This leaflet gives details of a surprisingly varied number of routes including travel from London via Harwich to Germany and onwards to Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland; routes from Victoria station via Ostend, Brussels and onwards through Cologne; the Harwich to Esbjerg services using the Royal Danish Mail Services of Det Forenede Dampskibs-Selskab: London Tilbury and Gothenburg; Bergen Line sailings from Newcastle upon Tyne to Stavanger, Bergen and Oslo that included through trains from Kings Cross to Tyne Commission Quay; Newcastle to Oslo via Kristiansand and the Olsen Line; Associated Humber Lines services fromGoole to Copenhagen (Fridays with limited passenger accomodation), and the summer onlu Newcastle - Esbjerg/Copenhagen services of the Det Forenede Dampskibs-Selskab. At this date British Railways had an office in Stockholm at Norrmalmstorg 1.

GNR apreendeu 1.600 cigarros, 39 litros bebidas alcoólicas e 14 máquinas de jogo ilegal

A Unidade de Acção Fiscal (UAF) da GNR realizou, no passado dia 15 de maio uma operação nacional dedicada à fiscalização dos Impostos Especiais de Consumo (CIEC), que resultou na apreensão de 1.600 cigarros, 39 litros de bebidas alcoólicas e 14 máquinas de jogo e foram ainda identificados dois homens.

A operação, teve especial foco no Imposto sobre o Álcool e Bebidas Alcoólicas (IABA), no Imposto sobre o Tabaco (IT) e na Lei do Jogo e visou a inspeção de estabelecimentos de restauração e bebidas, bem como outros pontos de venda suscetíveis de introduzirem ilegalmente no consumo bebidas alcoólicas e produtos de tabaco. Adicionalmente, foram ainda realizadas fiscalizações a viaturas de transporte de mercadorias nos principais eixos rodoviários.

No total, informa a GNR em comunicado, foram fiscalizadas 254 viaturas e 41 estabelecimentos comerciais.

Foi instaurado um auto pelo crime de exploração ilícita de jogo e 43 autos de contraordenação, nomeadamente 31 por infrações ao regime dos bens em circulação (RBC); seis por infrações ao Imposto sobre o Álcool e Bebidas Alcoólicas (IABA); quatro por infrações ao Imposto sobre o Tabaco (IT); dois por infrações de jogo ilícito em modalidade afim.

Foram apreendidos 1.600 cigarros; 39,1 litros de bebidas alcoólicas; 26,06 gramas de folha de tabaco; 1.350 gramas de tabaco para cachimbo de água; 100 ml de nicotina líquida; 480 sticks de tabaco aquecido; 14 máquinas de jogo; 936,50 euros em numerário.

Foram ainda identificados como suspeitos do crime de jogo ilícito dois homens de 29 e 35 anos, tendo os factos sido comunicados ao Tribunal Judicial de Vila Real de Santo António.

Online visitor registration for ITMA ASIA + CITME 2024

Visitors to ITMA ASIA + CITME 2024, Asia’s leading business platform for textile machinery, can register their visit online to take advantage of early bird rates. The combined exhibition will be held from 14 to 18 October 2024 at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre, Shanghai, China.

Visitors who pre-register on the combined show websites (itmaasia.com and citme.com) by 13 October will enjoy early bird rates which are at a 40% discount. The early-bird rates are US$9 (RMB 60) for a five-day badge and US$5 (RMB 30) for a one-day badge. Standard onsite rates are RMB 100 for a five-day badge and RMB 50 for a one-day badge.

The combined show owners - CEMATEX and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT (CCPIT-Tex), China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA) and China Exhibition Centre Group Corporation (CIEC) are pleased with the positive response received for space application. GNR apreende mais de 24 mil cigarros de contrabando em Lisboa

Mais de 24 mil cigarros de contrabando foram apreendidos em Lisboa numa ação de fiscalização da GNR, anunciou este domingo a corporação, adiantando que se tivessem sido colocados no mercado teriam lesado o Estado em mais de 5.000 euros.

"Desta ação, resultou a elaboração de dois autos de notícia por introdução irregular no consumo, de produtos sujeitos a Imposto sobre o Tabaco (IT), que culminou na apreensão de 24.400 cigarros, dissimulados em duas malas de viagem", anunciou a GNR em comunicado.

A operação foi realizada na quinta-feira por elementos do Destacamento de Ação Fiscal (DAF), na sequência de uma ação de fiscalização no âmbito do Código dos Impostos Especiais sobre o Consumo (CIEC), no concelho de Lisboa.

Estas ações inserem-se no combate à fraude no âmbito do Imposto sobre o Valor Acrescentado (IVA) e Imposto Especial de Consumo, através do mercado paralelo, pelo não pagamento dos impostos devidos, com repercussões no funcionamento dos mercados e da competitividade das economias.
