Note
hi could please rec interesting/funny youtube channels you like to watch?
may i recommend 백현 Baekhy- gkdjfgdf
but on a serious note, what kinda stuff are u into? what i watch is mostly 1)comedy channels 2)movie video essay channels 3)random ones that are neither of these 2..
for the 1st category, i like drew gooden and gus johnson the most.. at this point simplynailogical is p much a comedy channel too, bonus if u like nail art.. also jenna marbles and julien solomita gkjdgd peak comedy.. and ofc noel miller, noel miller live and cody ko! also antonio garza! safiya nygaard is fun too!
for the 2nd category, there’s a loot... im subbed to wisecrack, cinemabreak, every frame a painting, lessons from the screenplay, karsten runquist, nerdwriter1, lindsay ellis, pop culture detective and the take! alex meyers if u like comedic reviews of shitty teen media
and as for channels that fit into none of these:
bald and bankrupt: sweet down to earth dude travels the world (mostly india and eastern europe) and makes genuine connections with people living there
baumgartner restorations: calming long videos of a guy professionally restoring paintings for a living... very neat.. nice...
bon appetit: fun bunch of people cook stuff...
captain disillusion: dude with mad vfx skills debunks viral videos and explains how they were made, recreating them
company man: dude looks at stonks and tells u basic backgrounds behind big companies
isaac arthur: brilliant channel... guy creates very long and in depth video-essays about futurism, space exploration theory, astrobiology, etc... like kurzgesagt videos except on steroids and without the sleek animation...
numberphile: cool math stuff
primitive technology: dude lives in the forest imitating how one would create basic technology back in the day.. all silent with subtitles
sunnyboy66 and sunnyboy66 II: kind of unrelated i just want to share them with someone, a channel posting obscure compilations of music.. 60s arabian garage rock, 70s lebanon folk pop, 60s italian lounge jazz... cool stuff...
hope you like any of these!

A Silent Story #1 – Pulp Fiction
Tumblr media
vimeo
Do you imagine Pulp Fiction without dialogues?
We all know that Quentin Tarantino is one of the best filmmakers out there, and the use of violence and long dialogues are some of the good aspects of his movies, but what if we removed those aspects from one of his best films? What would Pulp Fiction be like if there were no violence nor dialogue?
In this video essay series called “A Silent Story”, we will see how the story of a film unfolds with no dialogue, just leaving the original ambient sounds, pretending everything is under control and focusing on what does a body language transmit when the character is not talking at all.
Film used: Pulp Fiction (1994). Directed by Quentin Tarantino. Produced by Miramax, A Band Apart, Jersey Films.
