What are your headcanons about Hermie Bing?
Hermie Bing Headcanons;
Tumblr media
Trigger warning; mention of suicide.
🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘
Hermie's full name is Hermione Leona Bing.
She was 14 years old in the first movie.
She is apart of the Badun Detective Agency as their secretary. And an occasional detective herself.
As well as the Anti-heroes' club.
She is known as animal whisperer among the isle kids.
She is multi-talented, knowing many circus acts that she learned from her father's circus.
Her father felt very guilty about getting her trapped on the isle and killed himself when she was 7.
But before that, her father taught her to never be mean to animals so she wouldn't make the same mistakes he did.
Hermie was very close to her father and his loss devastated her.
She still refuses to acknowledge that it wasn't a murder, which led her to become a detective alongside her friends. Though she mainly prefers desk work.
After her father's death, she resides on what little forest there is on the isle until Carlos leaves for Auardon-- leaving his treehouse to The Badun Detective Agency.
Hermie lends out her animals for their investigations on occasion.
Her mother was apart of her father's circus and died when she was a baby.
Her and her fellow agents spend all their spare time together because they don't really have anything better to do. And because they can't imagine their lives without one another.
She and Eddie have crushes on one another that everyone but them notices.
She loves Jazz, Pop, and circus music.
Hermie loves clowns and clowns doll. And dresses as a clown for every costume party. And every Halloween.
Yes, it's as creepy as it seems.
She loves fairy lights.
And vintage pictures.
She loves circus acts of any kind and circus out fits. She came up with a dozen circus names for herself and her friends when she was very young.
Hermie loves music boxes and books as well as casset tapes and record players.
And little figurines.
She also has a major sweet tooth for Junk food of any kind.
Hermie taught her animals all kinds of tricks growing up along with her friends.
She has a birth mark in the shape of a circus tent on her shoulder that she hates.
Hermie also loves fairs and carousels.
And she's had a crush on Eddie ever since she was 10.
She is very graceful.
She knows some very colorful swears. Which don't really count as swears.
She crushes in circus acts, circus foods, and circus animals.
Hermie draws all kinds of circus acts for fun as well as clothes and make ups.
Hermie is kind of obsessed with the circus.
She reads alot.
Her father use to read to her when she was little.
And he'd also tell her stories of his life back home.
He also played circus music for her till she fell asleep.
The Ring Master always wanted her to be better than him and in the end, he gets his wish.
Though it does come at the expense of Hermie's mental health, since she freaks out whenever anyone mentions her father's death in a way that implies it wasn't a murder.
Hermie just really misses her dad.

Another Illustration project I did for school. We were suppose to create a vintage circus poster in Adobe Illustrator. I chose to do mine for a horse riding performer. I actually took some creative liberties with the color palettes because the vintage poster colors did not transition well in digital forms. I decided to go for more cosmic colors and that gave me the ideas for the names. The circus would be called Starlight Circus, the rider is Stella, The Comic Rider, and even though I did not give the horse a name in the poster, I would name him Cosmos.

Wonderland Theater of “freaks” and “bizarre exhibits” was once in Denver, Colorado
Back in the mid-1800’s Denver’s Curtis Street between Fifteenth and Nineteenth street was home to “Theater Row.” It started with the Apollo Hall in 1859. Then the Tabor Grand opened in 1881. Many more theaters followed.
Back in the mid-1800’s Denver’s Curtis Street between Fifteenth and Nineteenth street was home to “Theater Row.” It started with the Apollo Hall in 1859. Then the Tabor Grand opened in 1881. Many more theaters followed. The Wonderland Theater went under various names over time and featured many different venues. The theater was the final Curtis Street theater to be destroyed by a wrecking ball…
