Hiya, Pumpkin, darling! I've got some character asks, if you're up for them? Here we go. Regarding the Oscars ceremony, who watches it for the outfits? Who watches it for the memes and the show? Who says they're no going to watch it but end up doing it? Who is the most invested, like, knows all directors, actors, has seen all film nominees...?

First off, so sorry it took me so long to get these. But I’ve really missed character asks so thanks so much for sending them!!!

Jasmine: “I definitely watch it for fashion. The Oscars is the last film award event of the season but it sets the tone for fashion for the whole year.”

Jack: “…Yeah, I watch it for the memes. What else would you watch it for? 

Meg: “Of course I’m not going to watch it. All that innane Hollywood drivel and self-congratulations. Definitely not. …I know I watched it last year. And the year before that. And the year before that…b-but I’m not watching it this year.” 

Eric: “Are you kidding me? I join like three different Oscar ballot competitions every year. I make only one change on each one for the categories that are just truly unfair. I’ve had a perfect ballot, like, 4 years in a row. ….I know I’m weird. Don’t look at me.”

@clairescotcoutts Thank you! I'm very much looking forward to DT as well, they are pure chaos. And I know people who speak languages other than English have been sending me suggestions all the time - so I think it's perfectly in character that Double Trouble would learn other language's swear words just to fuck with people...

@jidblogger I'm not sure Catra knows what she believes at the moment. All she thinks is that she lost out to Entrapta, just like she lost out to Adora (in her eyes, at least).

@coolmiddlename Always someone else's fault where Catra is concerned right now. She's going to have to do some soul-searching eventually...

You can thank me, it hurts in just the right way. And I love seeing Hordak as an incompetent middle manager who somehow failed upwards (in the business of conquering planets through force). Although after losing Entrapta, he goes full-on emo kid. And if I could be bothered, I'd give him emo band T-shirts. But that's a lot of effort.

Wow, that... that really hit a nerve. I-- I knew I felt canon!Jim, but now I feel him so much more. I guess it's also a good sign of storytelling, when you wrench your readers' emotions so. It means you're doing an amazing job. I really like the family dynamic. And darling Jane, she's a ray of sunshine every time I see her. Thank you, Pumpkin.

Wow, thank you so, so much. It really means so much to me that you could feel canon!Jim so strongly with this issue. 

I really feel for this family. They’ve been put through the ringer again and again. So when Jim lashes out, I totally understand why. And I think Sarah does too. 

Jane really is the mediator of the group, trying to hold her family together. She deserves the world.

You know, I was re-reading all the issues (for like the tenth time) and I can't stop thinking about two things: we never got to know who beat Jack black and green in the woods and I need SOMEONE TO HATE, DAMMIT, and also, yeah, I still want to be Kocoum's girlfriend. Yup. That's it.

I always become so happy and super smiley when reader’s say they reread the comic. AND YOU DID FOR THE TENTH TIME SO I’M QUITE SMILEY RIGHT NOW. 

First off, totally agree with you. We still don’t know!! I thought Jack was going to say who it was in Issue #118 but he ended up saying he couldn’t even remember them...which is super sad. But it still needs to be confirmed (and psstt, it will be at some point). 

Two, um, yeah. In the same boat. as you. on the Kocoum. Front. Kind of in love with the unfeeling, brooding family guy.
