I participated in the Zelda Creators Secret Santa event and got to do this masterpiece for Mischievousminis on Instagram. Combining her favorite friends with the classic whimsical pirate dog painting was a huge joy and made me giggle so much!

51st Win A Commission Contest! This was supposed to come out in July, so here’s a truncated version. Guess the book, win a drawing, short fic reading or a short story! Must guess by 12:01am EST August 11

This is a famous 1977 children’s book. I adapted an early chapter where the protagonist’s little sister gets bullied, so he and his best friend get back at the head bully by convincing her that her crush wanted to ask her out. And all the while, they have a magical little world of their own….

(Both kids are likely white and were portrayed as white in the 2007 film, but I based the boy on a Mohawk kid and the girl on a Korean-American kid, because the story is set in the southwest tail of Virginia (USA) and the girl used to live in Washington DC but recently moved to the area)
