The most common thing that I have seen people talking about TFP is that Megatron's unhealthy obsession with optimus and after eons of war, Optimus just being impassively done with the antics.

werewolf jones is the devil and megg isnt that far behind. megg is mostly too stagnant to drive the nightmare, whereas werewolf jones is like... the most evil kind of person... and he faces absolutely zero consequences for it. (still holding out for Xmas 2017) hes like the portrait of all this evil behaviour that has been so normalised and celebrated and how that praise just makes it all worse so much worse for everyone involved
