The real tragedy of ZOS canceling the North America ESO in-person event is that I don't have the opportunity to corner a lore dev and get an answer about why the shade mechanic works differently in Clockwork City versus Cloudrest.

Why does Divayth Fyr in the first quest to Clockwork City stress that he needs to do a specific ritual after fighting his shade to properly merge the two and that killing the shade would leave him permanently weakened, but in the Cloudrest, Summerset during the fight with Z'Maja, you must kill someone's shade before beginning to resurrect them or you take lethal amounts of damage? When both instances of shades are clearly Nocturnal-esque magic, given Z'maja's amulet is a gift from Nocturnal. Why are you walking away. The door is locked. Answer me.

Also why does Galenwe have the wrong shoes on but his shade has the right color and weight of footwear. Less critical but I want an answer about this too.

I was going through my hardrive and found this. This is when we cleared Cloudrest and got Gryphon Heart back in 2022.

I haven't played ESO in so long but it was nice to rewatch this. This prog was a lot of fun and we had some really amazing people. Our raid leader was an absolute star. We had some brilliant players and managed to get this done with a really good time

This isn't my video, this is from the POV of Nina our Sorcerer who was on orb duty. I'm playing as Lights-The-Marsh and I was the kite healer who was on spear, shard and healing duty (I also helped with orbs now and then). It is so nice to look back on this.

got into BG3 way too late to try and get a canon url as much as I may have wanted one, but honestly I'm more than happy to have my canon url for a niche raid/lore city in a DLC for an unpopular MMO

Guess what idiot learned a new cloudrest fact in 2025

Belanaril, Relequen's gryphon, his name means "Final Storm" (or final lightning/thunder).

I thought for years we only had translations for two of the gryphons.............

I've been working on and off on this family tree for months haha. I've been wanting to make a proper post detailing who's on it but I'm still not quite happy with the dates, also I need to flesh out the Culaari side of the tree some more.

I've also started working on a portrait for the Adallaireon's. Set in 3E 405, when Quenanya's mother (Nalaril) was 4.

(Also, the Aunecil's are from Cloudrest, so I did just shamelessly steal the cloudrest banner from eso for their heraldry)
