All the houses in the village are built from mud and are below this statue.  Langza is known as the "fossil village" as it contains numerous marine fossils. One can easily spot children persuading travellers to take fossils from them in exchange for some money.  Being at a high altitude some endangered species such as snow leopards, Tibetan wolves, Himalayan griffon can be easily spotted around the village. In summers, yaks are a common sight in and around the village. . . . .
