emily episodes!!! every episode is an emily episode the same way every episode of a hotch episode but these are my favs: 3x05 seven seconds is easily one of the best cm episodes of all time, you already said 4x03 but there’s nothing wrong w watching that ep ten times in a row, 3x02 showing her commitment to the teeeeeeam in name and blood is truly one of the all time best eps, 2x09 ik she’s barely in it but she’s literally soooo cute, 2x21 for some reason i always associate open season w emily?? even tho its not really ab her akdhkshd she just looks so good, 4x09 52 pickup what a legendary episode w her gf jordan todd, 4x13 bloodline has the interrogation of all time, 4x21 its not really about her but its such a funny episode and her little speech at the end is sooooo fucking funny, 5x01/02 are technically hotch episodes but actually they’re about emily, 5x11 love when she gets hit by a car <3 v sexy of her, 6x17/18 obvious classics, 7x09 its not really an emily episode and tbh she’s not even in it that much but her saying “yeah, we need to know more about that kid” in the middle of eating is stuck in my mind forever, 7x12 this ep always makes me think of elle but it is technically an emily episode so here we go

The Foyet and Doyle arcs are probably the best 'big bad' arcs of the show but they still both have one massive flaw in that the setup was good and then they really do not stick the landing. Which given the similarities between 100 and It takes a village (legal inquiry things w flashbacks) makes me wonder if they run out of steam towards the end or struggled to make the story compelling within the limitations of that framing, if you get what i mean

i completely fucking agree. it feels like such a cheap way to end it? like they couldnt figure it out?? i was worried it was gonna be one of those things where they stick to a formula and call it tradition as an excuse for how bad it still is, but thankfully they stopped doing it after that

like it's just such a weird way to tell the story? why can't it be just a regular criminal minds episode lmao that wouldve been so much better, even if it was normal. i'd take 'perfectly average' over 'unnecessary narration/complication that's really just irritating' any day
