Call me a cornball but I’m that gal who likes to match her scents to the environment 🌊 So best believe I showered and moisturized using the Ocean Flowers collection from @carolsdaughter before heading to the pool and then I used it AGAIN when I got home 😅 • I like to think of this space as a no judgement zone...so here’s the tea...I still shower before going swimming, am I alone here? Because my cousin swearssssss I was being extra for showering before going to the pool ���🏽‍♀️🧖🏽‍♀️🛀🏽🚿 • I also wet and coat my hair with deep conditioner before going to the pool to minimize the amount of chlorine that can penetrate my hair. Cheers to glowing skin & healthy hair 🤗 if only all my wash days turned out this great (because the one on my current stories didn’t turn out as great) 😅 • I first conditioned using the #CocoCreme conditioner to soften my tresses and to allow for easier detangling. Then I cleansed my hair using the matching shampoo from the collection and lastly followed up with 30 minute Coco-Creme deep conditioning treatment. Once rinsed out, I applied the coco-creme moisturizer followed by the #pracaxinectar style control gel 💆🏽‍♀️ what are your all time fave @carolsdaughter products. Well hello there from me and my big head of curls and kinks ❤️ • Many of you have noticed that my hair has grown immensely over the past year and have asked if I changed anything in my routine...the answer is NO... I’ve had the same routine for as long as I can remember. But here are 5 things that I’ve kept consistent(ish): 1. I deep condition my hair once a week 2. I SHAMPOO my hair whenever my scalp has build up. This varies but typically I shampoo once a week or every other week. A healthy and clean scalp promotes hair growth! 3. I layer my products for optimal moisture & for longevity of my wash & gos (this may not work for you if your hair is not as thick). On freshly washed, soaking wet hair, I start with a leave-in conditioner/moisturizer (sometimes I use both depending on the brand) followed by a custard/gel and then I slap an oil on top 4. Weekly scalp massages using @tropicisleliving #jamaicanblackcastoroil 5. I wrap my hair with a satin/silk scarf EVERY night before bed 😴 • P.S. Though my hair has gotten longer I also haven’t had a good cut in two years!!!
