In addition to developing my characters, sometimes I am engaged in presenting the future design of some of the Harbingers of the Queen. I want Columbine the Archer 🥺

I feel like people are too scared of making the fatui cruel. Like, yes, I understand their goal (which is ultimately the tsaritsa's, and most are probably using that as a way to achieve their own endeavours - see Pantalone) but if they are not necessarily the bad guys, they are not nice little ponies either. Il Dottore probably experimented on children. Pantalone's ultimate goal is money, and he is definitely manipulative enough to lead people to their doom, probably has. Columbina, we barely know shit of her, so I'm afraid speculating might underestimate her.

In the winter night's lazzo, Ajax definitely looked to be the most sane of the bunch, and as we know him, that says an awful lot. We literally see the segment in his prime burn Irminsul. The tree of all knowledge, godly treasure of immeasurable value, burnt to the ground for a "little experiment in blasphemy" (also I just finished the A.Q right after writing this- he murdered his own clones, the ones with feelings and experiences, all of them.). Scaramouche, considered solely the 6th strongest out of 11, is literally the carcass of a god. A god. And we have 5 above that.

As far as we know, any upcoming Harbinger content might end up being very shocking, if not just straight up dead dove. They are terrifying.

And that's only grazing the surface of what we know, which is their title, some of their ranking, and their shared goal, if we exclude the individual lore we have about solely a ⅓ of them. There's a reason Snezhnaya is such a long time coming - the lore is properly astronomical.

I love how all the Harbingers have italian code names but they're literally russian

It's funny 'cause these names are from italian comedy masks, like, Arlecchino is supposed to be the dumb and funny one lol

Also, it's ColOmbina, not ColUmbina

This time I'm coming here with solo Colombina portrait. I tried making a bit more complex background digitally for her. Of course, our cursed angel deserved also some bonus ornaments. After Arlecchino's voice lines I can't wait to see to what extent she will be... quirky talker. Plus obviously she seems like one of the last hopes to say something less depreciating about Dottore. I smell some moral abigousness from this pink creature. I'm also witing for her to say something funny about Dottore. Or better. I want more of their bickering after lazzo. The eye brooch I gave her is a silly idea of how she's able to see the world with her eyes closed... And also. Maybe the empty space in her mask is meant to resemble the third eye we can't see yet.
