Lets talk pets at your sessions. Everyone here is pretty familiar with my love for animals and the constant encouragement to bring them to sessions, but what does that involve? ✨bring a friend✨ no not just your four legged friends a human one! They can help keep your pet occupied while you get your regular pictures done! ✨treats✨ bring your pets favorite treat or toy with you, it helps keep the session fun and stress free for your pet, and grabs their attention for photos! ✨leashes✨ I always keep your pets on a leash. No picture is worth losing your pet over! But, with that being said, avoid thick harnesses as those are extremely hard to photoshop out. Now if your pet is trained extremely well and you are comfortable with them off leash, you can definitely do that! ✨Time✨ these kinds of sessions take a bit more time to get the shots we need so make sure you are prepared to spend an extra 30 minutes at your sessions! ✨location✨ bringing your pet does require more strategic location scouting! Gotta ask questions like is my animal allowed in this area? How busy is it? Any threats to the safety of my pet? I also have a list of locations that are great for bringing your pet, and I have done all the research for you! ✨basic commands✨ it is important for bog mostly to understand basic commands such as their name, sit, and stay. Knowing those commands will make your session flow easier and be less stressful for you! ✨behavior✨ yes this is super important, I do not allow aggressive pets on my sessions that threaten my safety and the safety of others. So if your animal is aggressive around others it is probably best you leave them at home. A Grown man in Montana slammed a 13 year old’s boy to the ground, fracturing the boy’s skull because the boy didn’t take off his hat during the National Anthem.

Look, nobody has been deputized as a Patriot policeman to police people’s patriotism. Others have the right not have to do patriotic rituals.

If you feel the need to bust someone’s skull because they aren’t removing their hat not only are YOU the Snowflake, you are also a Dumbass.

By the way, the man said he was acting under Trump’s orders. Trump of course saying people who don’t stand for the Anthem should be fired.

DownEast Salmon Federation Annual Smelt Fry & 2019 Year of the Salmon Celebration

Mark your calendars and come join us for a day of fisheries fun! This year we are excited to also be celebrating the International Year of the Salmon, a worldwide, year-long celebration of salmon and people.

Over the years, these festivities have grown from a small community potluck centered on the commercial smelt harvest to a well-known regional event serving 500+ guests. This year the event will be held on Saturday, April 13th from 11am until 4pm. Throughout downtown Columbia Falls, there will be activities and displays that feature the inspiring fisheries and conservation work of DSF and their partners. All of the DSF venues are within a ¼ mile radius of downtown Columbia Falls and transportation between sites is available. This is truly a family-friendly event!

The Annual Smelt Fry is a wonderful way to welcome spring. Come learn what projects are happening within the fisheries and about DSF’s regional involvement. Local foods will be featured with smelts, alewives, and mackerel being smoked at the DSF smoker, venison stew, a seasonal fried smelt dinner and dessert made with local blueberries at the Wreaths Across America gym.
