Character Summary:

Ekaterina- or mostly known as Rena is a very open and happy individual. She likes to make others smile and laugh, even if at her own expenses and would move mountains even for strangers, to her detriment. She wants to be a good force in life, believing that she may not be able to change a lot of things in the big world but definitely being able ti influence her small "world" consisting of the people she meets. She is very emotional, quickly changing moods and going into extreme display of feelings, be it agression and anger or passion and excitement. She is very helpful and kindhearted with a strong sense of justice and despite saying she is scared of children she is usually well liked among them. She has a strong aversion to the topic of pregnancy and gets tense when russia and it's political situation is brought up.

Background:

Rena was born Ekaterina Anatoliyevna Bugakova, the only blood related heir of the Igorevich Family. She was an only child und therefore the position of next Leader of the Igorevich Family naturally fell to her and with it a lot of expectations. She was to not only keep the family safe and prospering, but she also had to one day marry and bear children to further the Igorevich bloodline. Very early in life she was introduced to Dimitri, her bodyguard, 5 years older than her, who from then on became her best friend and her protector. She very early on realized that the idea of becoming a mother by her own pregnancy was not something she wished for but her mother pushed her to accept her fate, early on giving her study lessons and sex education to make sure that she was aware of her role as the only female heir. The environment she grew up in was very conservative with many wholeheartedly believing that she would bear at least 2 children for the family, but it always made her feel uncomfortable to think about. Despite that she always told herself that she was simply nerveous and that surely she would love bearing children since that was what everyone told her would be the case. Her father, Dimitri and the Instructor Mikhail trained her in combat until she was 11.

in March before her 11 birthday her sex educator showed her a very detailed movie about the growth of a child during pregnancy with Xrays and CG reconstructions of how it would look inside of the female body, going so far as to put a pregnancy belly on her that simulated heat and movement against her stomach. The imagery of something growing inside her body like this made her completely collapse mentally to the point of screaming and whaling, only allowing Dimitri close who kept her in his arms until she calmed down slightly, however her mother then pulled her away, trying to reassure her by describing her own birth and how it was the happiest day of her life, getting graphic about the pain with always following reassurance that she will unconditionally love her children and forget the pain as soon as she holds the infants. Unable to speak up for herself she stayed absolutely still while another panic attack arose, but her mother declared for Dimitri to be escorted out of the Room while she would stay with her daughter to finish the lesson and watch a video of a birth with constant stops explaining what was going on and how it functioned biologically. By that point she had completely dissociated.

Late at night in her room Dimitri snuck in to check on how she was doing and seeing her closest friend made her break down and beg him to help her escape. She didn't want to become pregnant! It was scary, absolutely terrifying and she never wanted to feel something growing inside of her ever again. Dimitri had sworn to always protect her and so he promised to help her flee.

The following weeks were in preparation for her escape from the Bugakov mansion. Anatoly quickly realized what was happening but he did not interfere, instead making sure her mother would not be aware of their plans. He always was against forcing her into the position, especially since it was her mothers conscious decision not to have another child herself.

The escape was successfull and they decided for germany as their getaway spot. From then on things went on rather quietly. She managed to get official documents with the forged ones Dimitri got for her and officially became Rena Lucchese. She finished her middle education and just to be safe decided to move to italy where she would get training to become a theater instructor. Dimitri helped her settle in but as soon as she finished her first year and was accepted into her course he decided to leave. She was heartbroken about this but he believed to be the last remaining tie she had to her old life. As long as he was around she would always be connected to it, and he truly wanted her free.

Unbeknownst to her, the moment Dimitri returned to russia he was caught by Anatoli who then made it Dimas mission to keep around Rena in the shadows to ensure her safety from anyone who might want to hurt her. Ever since then he has been following these orders.

Rena finished her training without much hitch and then managed to get work at a small amateur theater while working part time at a kindergarden. with time and experience she eventually became the leader of her own theater group that they decided to call 'Mosaico'. she first comes into contact with the Neo Vongola when Tsuna asks her for assistance in putting up a culture festival for the small city and she agrees to help him.

Fighting Style:

Rena was taught combat by her father, Dimitri and an instructor by the name of Mikhail. Her father taught her flame control, Dimitri helped her by sparing and challenging her strategic thinking while Mikhail taught her technique. Once they left russia, Dimitri decided to keep training with her in secret for the off chance that she would ever need to protect herself. This is when she decided to focus especially on her legs as her weapon. Before Dimitri left her he also gifted her her box weapon. specially constructed overknee boots with blades at their heel that she could imbue with Dying Will Flame to enhance her power. She keeps her box always with her and hidden, having purchased a rather unflashy ring to go with it. She still trains to keep up her overall muscles and stay in shape but she has not actively honed her skills, so she is definitely not on any level with the other people in her life.

Trivia:

She used to have a cat but unfortunately she passed away before she moved to italy. Her new landlord does not allow animals especially because one tennant is allergic to cats

Rena has a few selfharm scars from her time after Dimitri left. She hoped that if she hurt herself he would come and stop her, since he always vowed to keep her from harm-- but he did not. and after the third time of him not showing up she stopped doing it for that reason and ended up self harming a few more times out of stress and depression. She has meanwhile a tattoo covering the ones on her arm.

Her favourite authors when it comes to plays are Shakespear, Molier and Beckett

Rena was taught german and some italian by her father as he had lived in both countries for a time before taking over the family

She can do a few basic signs in german sign language

Rena truly adores her father and has a complicated relationship with her mother but she could never bring herself to truly hate either.

She is superstituous and believes in the supernatural, though she has very strict rules about that

Rena does sometimes suffer from nightmares reliving the scene that made her ultimately break down and the experience has caused her anxiety whenever she gets even a bit late on her period. She has been debating getting some long-acting reversible birthcontrol on top of always wanting her partner to use a condom and currently still being on other means of birthcontrol

Despite trying hard her attempts at gardening have been plagued a lot by misfortune and failure, even tho she really loves plantlife

Rena has a soft spot for ballet because it was one of the things the family did together back in russia, so whenever she has the chance she goes and watches a ballet performance.

Her favourite tea is chamomille and a blend called “candied roasted almonds”

Her favourite comfort food next to Lassagna is blini, russian pancakes

She always wears a ring that she got from her mother.

Despite not wanting a pregnancy EVER, she does dream of a nice wedding with her one true love at some point

She gets easily spooked and gets easily sleeping issues because of it.

She still finds herself sometimes looking up old lullabies or tv shows in russian, when she is alone, as it reminds her of a time when she at least believed things to be okay

Her name "Rena" comes from the main character of a Novel Series called "Past The Horizons Colours".

I decided to go to College to become a Paramedic. I have an Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Technician. I worked as a Paramedic for twelve years. I loved my job, I was very successful in my medical career, so the doors opened for me to be an Emergency Technician Instructor. An offer that I gladly accepted. .

But I never gave up on my dream. Remember what my dream was? To join the US Army. Well, I made a plan to achieve my goal and this time I wasn’t accepting any defeat. I studied, and studied and studied. And guess what? I passed! .

I joined our force in 2012 as (15R) Apache Helicopter Repair. I’ve been stationed in Colorado, Washington State and Texas. With the Army I had traveled to many different countries like Indonesia, Hong Kong and Japan among others. I also deployed to Iraq in support to the Operation Inherent Resolve against ISIS. After my deployment I got promoted to Staff Sergeant and got my assignment to be an Army Recruiter, I love it so I fully converted to 79R. .

I’m actually pursuing my Bachelor Degree in Digital and Social Media Marketing at Southern New Hampshire University. .
