Varia Slang and Expressions

Flat pay vs hourly pay: - Flat pay orsimply Flat, means being payed a set predetermined amount for a mission, while hourly pay refers to being payed per hour the mission takes. This is used on both sides of Mammon, to rank up mission prizes and keep payment of members low.

Civi: civillians, often also used for non combatant mafiosi

Flame juice: a term for the overall flame power one can still produce without falling to fatigue

Being Wonky: being so overworked you inevitably start to have physical performance issues

to detonate the kitchen: cause more unnecesary destruction and work that will effect everyone else

Rule 67: The Varia Rule tho kill yourself if captured by the enemy

to seek Sister Dr. Luss: the unhealthy behavior of seeking unprofessional therapy among colleges

to smoke on flame: engage in unhealthy, destructive behavior out of stress

Mainatee/Maintenenceer: the term used for workers that are in charge of keeping maintenance at Varia HQ, as this is being done by a seperate organisation and not Varia members. "Housekeeping" is usually a way of insult for these workers and highly frowned upon by other varia members.

to be redpenned: getting your pay reduced by mammon because of trivial matters

to be blackpenned: getting your pay reduced because of your own behavior/faults

no love in the varia, no blindfold in the kitchen: refers to the concept of how holding any form of romantic relationship while in the varia is as senseless as cooking while blindfolded. Sure, some can do it, some have no issues with it at all, but most will cause only chaos and destruction.

to send someone to mammon (for blackmarketing): a threat/warning that lies on actual fact that Mammon does tend to use members that need to be disposed of for blackmarket purposes (selling organs, flesh, blood, etc.)

to boombox oneself: do something so incredibly stupid that it's almost comical and impressive, like triggering a bomb box out of curiosity

to tango with flies: getting caught up with a very convoluted and unnecesary scheme/tactic, instead of following a concrete plan

to need a nailgun: being disarmed and in need of a weapon/having to improvise weapons from your surroundings

Squad 4 - Valentines day SR Cards Flat Colors

This took me forver to do and I am not even finished! Anyway have the first part of the belated V-Day Art. As per usual as soon as I am done I dont even know what to say anymore... I guess that I am not too happy about the result, but also i am glad I finished it (so far at least)? The boys all got a bit of a different hairdo, though I had no idea how to draw Avas hair slicked back. Maybe when i do the full colours it will be easier to see. Leo as per usual remains best boy, what is new. Drawing hands and ears is a ffffriggin pain and I hate it but hey it looks decent.

Anyway.... Its been... Tough... For me. Especially mentally. Feel like I need a 5million year long vacation in a cryo sleep chamber or something. Idk it's 4am and I am tired.

But if you want, to tell me which "gaccha card" of the quartet you'd be interested in pulling.

Unseen Varia

"Unseen Varia" is an unofficial describtor and title refering to the top members of the Varia, right beneath the officers and boss. It's said that performing a kill in itself is not much more difficult than chopping onions or boiling pasta (correctly). If you want to become a cook or simply master the art, these are basics that even novices and hobby cooks should be able to perform. Not many can do it properly, some will never be able to, but this is the bottom of the basics, among true pros. The same sentiment is given to the act of assassination. Simply killing someone is not a difficult feat, especially when your target is a civillian or a non combatant.

The Varia is known for their high quality and sucess rate, so it is not a surprise that it's members have mastered at least this simple skill. However there is still a difference between a simple kill and an assassination. Among trained individuals in the industry the highest form of skill is shown by assassinating someone without any trace left behind. A murder that seems like an accident. A killing with no killer. This special skill set is not a requirement to be a member of the Varia, however it is a noticible divider between the lower ranked members and the higher ranks. Individuals at Rank 3, in some cases even 4, can perform a traceless kill and therefor are regarded as the "Unseen Varia", due to their work being untracable. Especially among the Second in Comand seats this is a requirement. This is why the kill count of the Unseen Varia is hard to pin point and their mere presence demands respect and caution.

It seems almost contradictory that someone is regarded an "Unseen Varia" if having such a title is proof of some trace remaining- after all, how can you be sure that someone is worthy of the title, if you can't prove that they have this skill? However it has been something that established itself over time. Two common factors are usually what differentiates the top Unseen Varia from the rest of their colleagues. Their given rank by the organisation, as it requires a certain set of skills (AN: this is debatable when it comes to the current Mists Second in Command) and control over murderous intent.

Murder Intent and Bloodlust

Murder intent and bloodlust are two specific intesities in atmospheric change/pressure/energy that can be picked up by trained individuals and sometimes even by untrained people. These are usually things that take a long time to master the control of, as it's pure existance is a natural occurance.

The act of a killing brings with it a lot of intensity and strain. It is a tension that is noticible and can be picked up on by others. Having complete control over it, to the point of being able to conjour or hide it, like ones presence is a difficult skill to master and takes years of practice and hands on experience. For someone to be disciplined enough to have mastered such a craft, it truly takes someone quite terrifying. Untracable killings require this skillset, as any form of attention to the assassin can be fatal. Only someone who has a complete hold of their presence and murder intent, can in turn learn the art of true assassination.

If you stand in front of someone who mastered this and who you know is a member of the Varia, you might just be in the presence of an Unseen Varia. Be cautious, but do not worry. They are not here to kill you, or they would've done it without you noticing.

I genuinely believe that Charles and Edwin are soulmates, in the sense that fate, the universe and Destiny would all make sure these two meet. Specifically I believe that these two are meant to be a reincarnated soulmate pair, and that in every life before 1916, these two were fated to meet and love each other, in whatever capacity that meant.

When Edwin died and was dragged to Hell, that disrupted his reincarnation cycle, so the Charles from his time lived and died never meeting his soulmate. The Charles we know was technically born without a soulmate because Edwin never reincarnated, so it only makes sense that their souls met again the way they did. It was Destiny that these two would meet, and love each other again. They may be a generation off, but it was fate.

I love this constillation so much because despite all seeming so similar, they are all a different flavor of the "silent assassin" type. Of cours eI can't say too much about Kaguya or Kana, but allow me to drop some things about Dima since I am kind of giving up when it comes to keeping spoilers and stuff in check

Dimas very infamous title of "the Birch Demon" (russ. Демон березы) was actually established by Anatoli, Renas father, to fester people being scared and intimidated by Dimitri because his work is usually clean and pretty untracable. It comes from the fact that the most infamous story of him takes place in winter in a russian birch forest near St. Petersburg. His white hair and monochrome attire made it easy for him to blend into his surroundings. Truth however is that nobody had survived that mission. anatoli payed an actor to spread the story of th "Birch Demon".

He can not swim, ride a bike or drive. But he can discern between 40 different species of birds and imitate 14.

He is very sensitive to heat but has no issues with the cold

His hair length is not a fashion statement, he just keeps the lebngth that Rena liked on him.

Dimitri speaks russian, serbian, croatian, english and a bit of german. He can also hold a conversation in polish.

Dima can easily go toe to toe with people like Hibari, but he doesn't seek out a fight.

He is loyal to his "master", Anatoli and follows orders of Rena and her mother to a degree he sees fit. If he feels like it would go against Anatolis wishes he won't follow.

Dima is a lot more playful with Rena than people would imagine.

He really enjoys plombir and clementines

He can not eat or drink hot food it has to be significantly cooled down.

Dima had never a cold in his life even though he is prone to walking outside in the cold, barely covered.

If someone asked if he loves Rena he would answer "Yes" in a heartbeat. If you ask him if he is in love with Rena romantically he will say "No."

His mask is something he always wears to conceal his identity, even if he can be identified as the Birch Demon

Dimitris first and most important mission in life is to protect Renas body and soul. If he sees her in emotional peril and mental distress he WILL go against prior orders to ensure that she can be happy.

He thinks Gokudera thinks too much.

He is thoroughly AroAce and has a slight form of emotional blindness.

He hates using guns

Animals usually don't flee from him. Thy don't flock to him per se, but they do show curiosity and never see him as a danger unless he is extremely enraged

Despite all of his dangerous attributes Dima is deep down a rather mellow person. He doesn't seem to have much of a personality but that in itself is his personality. He can be cheeky and sarcastic but so far only Rena has managed to tickle that side out of him.

I don't think he would dislike or have issues with the other two. He lets things happen and as long as Rena is safe and happy he has no reason to dislike anybody. He is always open for a spar though, but he won't go easy on you.
