Hello everyone! We’re so excited for everyone to start creating, but first we need your help picking a prompt of the year. Feel free to review these prompt options and vote on your favorite!

Without further ado, here are the prompts!

Goblin Dating There’s goblins, and someone’s dating them. Is it Baz? Is it Simon? Another goblin? Are they goblins themselves? So many different flavors out there!

No Love Lost What does this spell do? Bring back a lost love? Revitalize a relationship? Make love out of thin air? No one knows what will happen when it's cast!

“That animal was definitely were!” What animal was it? Is it really were? Werewolf, wererat, werebat, werepig? Wereunicorn! The possibilities are endless! But was anyone bitten? And what will happen next?

Grand Theft Auto (the crime, not the video game) “I’ll steal it if I have to!” I shouted up the drive. “Or I’ll steal a bus!” Does Baz steal Fiona’s car? A bus? Something else? Or maybe some other Carry On character needs wheels…

Introducing Carry On Many Cakes Fest!

CO Many Cakes Fest is an event intended to showcase the creativity of the CO fandom—how even with everyone following the same prompt the fics can go in so many unique directions!

There will be a yearly prompt that participants can create for (vote for the prompt here). We welcome any fan content (fics, art, memes, moodboards and more!) as long as it’s focused on the yearly prompt.

This fest is intended to help creators remember that even if their idea has been done before, their unique spin on it is valuable and always worth sharing!

Bring on all the cakes! (why are we talking about cake?)

It’s here! Thanks to all of your votes we are happy to officially announce Grand Theft Auto as the prompt for COManyCakes 2025. We’re so excited to see what everyone will create this year!

What is CO Many Cakes Fest? CO Many Cakes Fest is an event intended to showcase the creativity of the CO fandom—how even with everyone following the same prompt the fics can go in so many unique directions! Each year, there will be a yearly prompt that participants can create for. (why are we talking about cake?)

How do I participate? Create any fanwork (fics, art, memes, and more!) inspired by the yearly prompt! No sign ups required, simply post your work to the AO3 collection when you’re finished! If posting on tumblr, we ask that you use the hashtag #COManyCakes and/or #comc2025 and tag this blog <3

What’s the prompt for this year? The prompt for this year is Grand Theft Auto!

When do I post? Whenever you finish! The prompt will stay for the whole year, and in order to reduce the stress for this event, you can post whenever you finish—at any point in the year! Just be sure to post into the collection on AO3, and tag this blog if posting on tumblr so we see it and can reblog your work!

Can I collab with someone? Can I create more than one piece? What kinds of fanwork can I make? Yes, yes, and anything! We’d love to see all kinds of fanwork created for this event!

Is there a discord for this event? No, but there's a channel in the Carry On Server where you're free to brainstorm/chat about ideas! The server is open to everyone so feel free to join. (And let us know if this link is expired <3)
