Hey everyone!!!

So yesterday I got a very exciting delivery from Superdrug it was the REVOLUTION X ROXI collaboration which I have been so excited to try since I found out about it. The range consists of 2 eyeshadow palettes and 1 contour and highlight palette and all the products are £10.00 which is so affordable which we all know I love. So in this post I am going to be giving you a full look into the collection to show you the different palettes and what you get in each set. As you can see I’ve already done one makeup look which consisted of a lot of yellows, oranges and pink shades which I never would of thought of to try normally but I gotta say I’m obsessed.

The first palette is one of the eyeshadow palettes and is called Colour Burst, Roxi said she named it this because all the colours she picked were really bold, colour and eye catching which obviously it’s easy to agree there. I decided to get this palette to try something out of my comfort zone and slowly add more colour to my looks. All the eyeshadow palettes have a mixture of matte, shimmer and foil eyeshadows which I think it great when you want to be able to a variety of looks. If you’re into trying bold and bright colours this is the palette for you and don’t forget it’s only £10.00.

The second palette is called Ride Or Die and Roxi said she called this palette that name because these are all the colours she would use daily and are her go to colours which I gotta say a lot of my favourite colours are in this palette. This palette still has its bright pops of colour but compared to the first definitely has more nude and warm tones which is so up my street. I think while I’m getting use to a lot of colour this palette will probably be the one I use the most to start off with. In the GIF I posted at the top of this post I’m using this palette and the contour palette and I’m using the shades inspire, pumpkin, honey and cranberry which I think turned out half decent. I posted a little video look on twitter and Roxi actually replied saying she loved the look so naturally I freaked out and can now die happy. Let’s not forget £10.00!!!!!!!

The last palette is the Contour and Highlight Palette now if you’re really into your contour and highlights this palette is so worth the money it’s ridiculous because the quality of product you get for £10.00. Blows my mind. So as you can see this palette is half contour and highlight now let’s talk about contour first. This palette was designed carefully for various skin tones which first of all YAY!!!! Love it when everyone is included and represented so loved that and that goes for both sides of the palette. For contour I use the top left shade which I’d compare to Hoola Light for those who use benefit but obviously this is much more affordable price. The colours that are a little dark for me I’ve tried as eyeshadow and they work like a charm. Now the highlighters in this palette are such a game changer it’s unreal, they have so much shine to them that I’d say a little goes a long way and not that you would really need to but they are buildable too depending on your preference. I’ve tried mixing the top 2 shades together and they just make me look so healthy and glowy and I love it!!!! The two bottom shades are a tiny bit too dark for me but again I use them so eyeshadow and they look amazing.

If ur pale like me use a really dusty rose/warm taupe for contour thsnk me later. Ever since i ran out of my kevin aucoin comtour palette the ONLY contour thats ever worked for me i started using these sort of grayish eyeshadow shades like buon fresco or warm taupe as contour and it…. Its so based. Like regular bronzer just does nothing for me.

Formule qu'une personnalité (en particulier un artiste, un auteur) écrit sur une photo, un ouvrage qu'elle offre à des admirateurs. Valéry me charge de vous dire que M. Degas a accepté la dédicace de la petite machine intitulée Soirée avec Monsieur Teste Valéry, Correspondance [avec Gide], 1896

La journée d’hier fut marquée par la dédicace au Café Grenouille par Anne Comtour de son premier roman.

Elle fit celle-ci avec magnificence nous contant son livre en costume d’époque avec quatre compagnes et compagnons eux aussi costumés et munis d’instruments de musique de l’époque qui vocalisèrent sa dédicace.

La Renaissance, je n’aurais jamais pu écrire sur cette époque de notre histoire que je honnis, les Médicis y ayant maintenu leur pouvoir à l’aide des guerres de religions et des empoisonnements habiles, eux qui n’avaient pas le corona virus.

Ce fut fort réussi et fort applaudi par une nombreuse assistance venue acheter son livre à Anne, mais l’âge et l’inconfort de ma chaise nous amenèrent à quitter les lieux avant la fin du spectacle.

Pour amener Anne souvent à ma maison, je lui donnais les deux tomes de Dia-Dia qui quasiment autobiographique et aussi dissipée que mon existence mouvementée et l’amènera à venir me demander des explications si elle ouvre le livre.

J’ai pris conscience de ma dégénérescence en ne pouvant pas assister à toute la réunion en dépit de mon amitié pour Anne que nous connaissons depuis un bail Mouna et moi, handicapé par ma quasi surdité et l’engourdissement de ma cervelle qui ne mémorise plus ; mais je suis fier d’avoir été là, l’accouchement d’un livre est un évènement dans la vie d’un auteur et l’on se doit d’être de sa dédicace.

Surtout quand l’auteur est ami de longue date.

Kurzfassung: Die Etappe verläuft bis Auzon zum Großteil entlang des Allier. Der Spaziergang an dessen Ufer ist wunderschön und erholsam. Da nimmt man später auch gerne in Kauf, einige Meter auf der Straße spazieren zu müssen. Was ich allerdings kurz vor Auzon – konkret nach der Brücke über den Allier – vermieden habe: die vorgegebene Trasse der Via Arverna zu begehen. Das war mir denn doch etwas zu mühsam und vor allem irgendwie sinnlos. Also bin ich etwa 2 km der Straße entlang bis Auzon gepilgert.

Weshalb eine solch kurze Etappe? werden sich nun forsche Pilgersleute fragen. Ganz einfach: weil es hier einerseits eine Herberge der Amis de la Via Arverna gibt. Die wollte ich unbedingt testen. Und zweitens weil Auzon ein wunderbares mittelalterliches Örtchen ist. Und wie die klugen Leser_innen wissen, liebe ich es über alles, durch solch alte Dörfer zu wandeln.

Als erstes überqueren die frisch gestärkten Pilgersleute in aller Herrgottsfrüh’ in Jumeaux den Fluss Allier. In dieser Gegend war das Gewässer vor rund 150 Jahren eine wichtige Transportverbindung. Die Kohle, die in dieser Gegend gefördert wurde, konnte auf dem Fluss transportiert werden. „Brassac les Mines’ auf der gegenüberliegenden Flussseite ist eines dieser Dörfer, die einst zum Kohlerevier der Auvergne zählten. Die Kohleförderung wurde 1978 eingestellt.

Ein fantastischer Uferspaziergang

Bei schönem Wetter ist das Spazieren am Fluss ein Hochgenuss. Bei der Kapelle Notre Dame du Port geht’s dann auf geteerten Wegen und Straßen weiter. Im großen Bogen wieder zurück, überqueren die Pilgersleute erneut den Allier und befinden sich bereits auf dem Gemeindegebiet von Auzon. Wie gesagt, ich bin von hier aus der Straße nach Auzon gefolgt. Denn der offizielle Weg führt irgendwie steil bergauf durch Büsche und Gestrüpp um dann erst wieder ins Tal zurück zu kommen. Diesen ‚Umweg‘ hab ich ganz einfach vermieden und bin der Einfahrtsstraße nach Auzon gefolgt. Das historische Auzon liegt dann auf einem lang gezogenen Hügel, den man gerne und nach einer solch kurzen Etappen munter und froh erklimmt. Und urplötzlich befindet man sich inmitten mittelalterlicher Gassen und Gebäude.

Die mittelalterliche Stadt beherbergte einst das imposante Kloster St. Laurent. In den Resten des Klosters befindet sich heute ein Museum.

Mir hat es vor allem das einstige Stifts-Kirchlein St. Laurent von Auzon angetan. Erbaut auf einer Felsnase  im 12. Jahrhundert, dominiert die einstige benediktinische Stifstkirche den Ort. Erneut stehen Pilgersleute vor einem grandiosen Spektakel  romanischer Baukunst. Was mich aber am meisten fasziniert hat: Im Eingangsbereich – er wird von einer offene Veranda, der ‚Ganivelle‘ geschützt – steht man den romanischen Kapitellen quasi Aug in Aug gegenüber.

Und vis a vis – wie könnte es anders sein – das Schloss bzw. die Burg von Auzon. Die Stadt war im Mittelalter ein wichtiger Stützpunkt des herrschenden Adels und offenbar auch der Kirche. Fluss und Straßenverbindung waren sicher lukrativ und unterstützten das Nichtstun von Pfaffen und Adeligen nachhaltig. Darauf deuten auch die Mauerbauten und die Stadttore hin, die hier immer noch existieren. Zudem besitzt Auzon noch eine alte Markthalle, das einstige wirtschaftliche Zentrum des Ortes. Auzon  erhielt 1412 durch ein Patent von Karl IV.  das Marktrecht.

Bemerkenswert ist die Unterkunft bei Anne Comtour in Auzon. Sie zählt zu den Amis de la Via Arverna und wohnt am Fuß des Burghügels. Bemerkenswert ist ihr ‚hängender Garten‘, eine Oase der Ruhe und Erholung. 

Mein Tipp:

1 Liter Wasser genügt auf dieser Etappe, auf der man sich viel Zeit lassen sollte. Sie gehört zu den ‘Erholungsetappen’ auf der Via Arverna.

Seconda puntata delle recensioni dei prodottini Neve Cosmetics che ho acquistato e provato con calma nel tempo. Nella prima puntata parlavamo di ombretti minerali, stavolta parliamo di matite.

Come ricorderete se seguite questo blog, non molto tempo fa abbiamo inaugurato una rubrica di recensioni dei prodottini di make up che ho avuto modo di testare, e qualche settimana era stato pubblicato un altro articolo in cui si parlava dei vari ombretti minerali di Neve Cosmetics.

In questa nuova puntata di Neve Cosmetics voglio parlarvi delle matite che sono in mio possesso, distinguendole tra matite occhi e viso. Durante una delle prossime puntate vi parlerò delle matite labbra associate ai rossetti. Avete letto bene, “matita per il viso”: per mantenere una certa logica ho associato la matita Contourmania alle matite occhi, per evitare di rifilarvela assieme agli ombretti o ai rossetti. Tanto per dirne una, è una vera e propria matita – che si tempera -, quindi ha caratteristiche comuni con le altre matite e possiamo parlarne assieme.

  Vi ho già spiegato da tempo che la mia scelta truccatoria è mossa dalla legge armocromatica, per questo scelgo tutta una serie di prodotti che stanno bene agli autunni profondi (con qualche eccezione ovviamente), ma ciò non toglie che potreste associare qualcuna di queste matite sul vostro viso diàfano da svedesi. D’altronde, io dico spesso, il make up è una forma d’arte, e l’arte è quanto di più soggettivo possa esistere: non bisogna per forza attenersi a delle regole esterne per concretizzare la vostra anima.

Se io lo faccio è perché faccio delle scelte: preferisco spendere i miei soldi per un make up che posso usare, secondo la regola del “pochi ma buoni”, in modo tale da avere una scelta relativamente limitata a dei prodotti che, con un’alta percentuale di probabilità, mi staranno bene.

  Queste matite derivano dai diversi miei ordini fatti dal sito ufficiale di Neve la prima volta, la seconda volta, dall’haul su Bio eco Shop  e da Bioalchemilla. Nessuno di questi prodotti deriva da una collaborazione.

  Mi sto trovando discretamente bene con questi Pastelli, nonostante ci siano dei lati negativi. Tra i lati positivi ci sono senza dubbio la vasta gamma di colori disponibili, i nomi affascinanti e la presentazione semplice e dolce allo stesso tempo. Tra i lati negativi c’è sicuramente il fatto che alcune mine sono molto morbide e creano difficoltà nel temperarle. Nel dubbio, tra la primavera e l’autunno, io le tengo in frigorifero, cercando di minimizzare – purtroppo non eliminare – il rischio si sfasciare tutto il legno che compone la matita. Questo problema l’ho riscontrato solo su alcune matite.

Iniziamo subito.

Acero/Brown. Questa è una delle matite che mi ha messa in difficoltà nel momento in cui dovevo temperarla. È un color marroncino brillante, non opaco, molto discreto e leggero, poco pigmentato, che si confonde quasi col colore della pelle. La pagina prodotto dice che ha dei riflessi rosa/dorati ed effettivamente mi ci ritrovo, perché spiega il motivo per cui sulla pelle perde d’intensità. Io uso spesso questa matita sotto la rima infracigliare inferiore, per rendere lo sguardo più profondo ma senza indurirlo, associato solitamente a make up molto leggeri. Oppure secondo me può essere usato ben distribuito e sfumato su tutta la palpebra mobile insieme a una linea sottile di eyeliner e un velo di mascara, per rendere l’occhio elegante e suscitare la curiosità nell’osservatore per un make up quasi “vedo non vedo”.

Bosco/Teal. Io cercavo una matita quasi verde-petrolio, ma non ci sono riuscita: Bosco è un vero e proprio verde pavone opaco molto evidente e pigmentato. Bello se usato sfumato sotto la linea infracigliare inferiore inserito per spaccare e rendere divertente un make up serioso scuro, oppure nella rima interna, come semplice kajal per esaltare gli occhi castani. Per la sua formula apposita a renderla una matita altamente sfumabile, potrebbe essere appunto distibuita su tutta la palpebra tipo ombretto intensificato da altri matte per esempio sabbia, marroni, neri, oppure accostato a qualche shimmer per chi vuole osare con oro, argento.

Ebano/Brown. L’ennesimo dei miei marroni. Non poteva che essere altamente approvato per autunni profondi, il marrone scuro per eccellenza. Profondo, opaco, un marrone che è la manna dal cielo per autunnizzare tutti i make up, associato rigorosamente a mascara marrone. Può essere esso stesso usato come eyeliner, anche completamente solo, sul viso abbronzato delle ragazze castane. È un prodotto che non soffre la solitudine, secondo me. Dà profondità, (anche questo è formulato per essere altamente sfumabile) può essere sfumato negli angoli esterni o sulle pieghe tra palpebra mobile e fissa. Se lasciamo questa sfumatura leggera, io oserei lasciando volutamente il make up incompleto, senza sfumarlo con altri ombretti; se vogliamo marcare la sfumatura agli estremi dell’occhio possiamo accostarlo a tutte le tonalità calde proprie dei colori della terra: senape, verde bosco, terracotta, bordeau.

Ego/Bistre. Marrone scurissimo, quasi nero, shimmer, quindi luminoso, brillante, che riflette la luce mostrando un animo bronzo. Il colore più interessante, bello, intenso, e nello stesso tempo il prodotto che più mi ha fatto dannare nella storia. Ho ridotto questa matita a metà in pochissimo tempo per la necessità di temperarla, 1) perché la mina è morbidissima e c’è bisogno di temperarla dopo ogni uso praticamente, 2) perché lo stick di legno si sfalda ogni volta che provo a temperarla. Ci ho provato in tutti i modi, con mille temperini, persino dopo averla tenuta per mesi in frigorifero continuava a sfaldarsi. :( Ad ogni modo, la uso quasi in tutti i make up, è l’ideale per dare profondità allo sguardo dando definizione infraciliare tracciando una linea sottilissima vicina appunto alle ciglia, sia superiori che inferiori. La uso quando sulla palpebra stendo il verde , il marrone, l’oro, il color mattone, il bordeau… Fantastica per persone castane con iridi che spaziano dal marrone scuro al verde.

Vizio/Platinum. Non c’è altro modo per definire questo colore: platino. Questa matita shimmer è il risultato dell’idea della mescolanza tra oro e argento. Purtroppo non va bene su di me, armocromaticamente parlando, perché è un colore estremamente freddo e invernale, però io la uso lo stesso molto sfumata per dare luce all’angolo interno dell’occhio, tutte le volte che vado pesante con gli ombretti. Se non fosse stata così brillante (shimmer) l’avrei probabilmente usata anche sotto l’arco sopraccigliare – ma comunque, anche se volete creare look da grido, io vi sconsiglio di farlo. Non riesco a immaginarla usata in alcun altro modo, è proprio una matita da punto luce, secondo me. Certo, magari si vuole ottenere un look scenico quindi potremmo usarla come eyeliner o ombretto, ma non ce la vedo in un look da tutti i giorni.

E infine, Contourmania. Come dice il nome stesso, è una matita per effettuare il contouring. Quest’unico prodotto è composto da due punte: una per creare gli effetti di luce e una per creare le ombre.

Il contouring, per chi si fosse appena sintonizzato, non è altro che una tecnica che sfrutta luci e ombre per scolpire i lineamenti del viso, armonizzare le forme, correggere i difetti. Nell’immagine che ho postato io stavo giocando: in realtà questa (doppia) matita si applica nei punti “specifici” e poi va sfumata benebenissimo fino a che non diventa quasi impercettibile.

Quando l’avremo sfumata nel migliore dei modi resterà solo un viso più bello, con degli zigomi affilati da paura, le occhiaie svanite, il nasino delicato e una fronte meno ampia. … In poche parole, ci sono delle cose da nascondere o da evidenziare nel viso durante i make up: se illuminiamo queste zone le rendiamo più “sporgenti”, se le mettiamo in ombra le rendiamo più “incavate”. Non tutte abbiamo le stesse forme, pertanto non tutte dovremo correggere o evidenziare le stesse zone.

In maniera universale, insomma, possiamo dire che la matita bianca – che illumina -, va passata sotto l’arco sopraccigliare, sulle occhiaie fino allo spigolo dello zigomo e nell’angolo interno dell’occhio; la matita marrone – che crea le ombre -, va passata nella zona dove termina l’osso zigomatico (a metà della guancia: palpatevi lo zigomo e ve ne renderete conto da soli), sulla piega della palpebra, sul doppio mento, ai lati del naso per renderlo più sottile nel caso in cui non lo sia già (se è già sottile, con questa operazione lo renderete sottilissimo D: ). Una volta stesa la matita in tutte queste zone, la sfumiamo con le dita fino a farla diventare quasi invisibile. DOBBIAMO FAR ATTENZIONE a non sfumare luci e ombre con lo stesso dito sporco di entrambi i prodotti! Questa operazione può essere compiuta prima o dopo il fondotinta, in base a quanto volete rendere il contouring evidente.

Possiamo ritenere conclusa la seconda puntata delle mini review dei prodotti di Neve Cosmetics facenti parte della mia personale collezione in perenne estensione.

Ora come ora posso dire che ci saranno almeno altre due puntate relative a Neve, perché, se non lo aveste capito, è il mio marchio di ecobio cosmesi preferito.
