How do you like clock tower so far? You were on 3 yeah?

we're watching a playthrough of 3!!! we just got to the part where Alyssa enters the second scenario, we're really enjoying it so far :)

we know the plot of 1 + 2 (we don't remember what their specific subtitles were) but haven't seen a full playthrough of either yet, and we still need to do the spin off one! ghost head I believe

ANYWAYS we really like it, it feels kind of silly but still scary! we also love Alyssa, her personality fits the whole magical girl + horror protagonist that's going on! we also really like the enemies, they're genuinely really creepy

THIS IS SO HARD obligatory note that we genuinely love all the characters so much. but our top favorites are probably ichika and haruka!! some of our other faves are saki, mizuki, akito, and airi :)

I REMEMBER. What I was gonna ask. What is the least scary silent hill game. I want to get into it but I keep hearing it's so uniquely scary that I'm like. Nervous? To just start in blind. And I trust yalls judgement

HIIII YAY OK so preface that we have to actually played any silent hill but we've seen full playthroughs of all the main numbered ones (1-4)

in our personal opinion, the least scary would be the first one. partially because of the graphics and I think partly because it feels more... puzzle based maybe? we sort of felt like there was slightly less dread in it I guess compared to the others. and also the graphics.

silent hill is definitely uniquely scary, there's this sort of dread as you uncover what's going on and realizing the context for events and stuff like that. each silent hill game is definitely scary in its own way, but to us the first one felt the most like survival horror maybe? probably because the protagonist (Harry) is going in blind and doesn't really understand any of what's going on, his goal is just to find his daughter.

also in our opinion 4 is the most scary LMAO it's very creepy and certain scenes and monsters are just so genuinely disturbing, as well as the whole premise being. scary.

silent hill's horror is pretty scary to us mostly because we don't usually like more supernatural type horror? but the way silent hill does it is really really good, like the plot and characters and the subtle stuff, as well as the overarching narrative. like there are video essays about how silent hill 3 is about being a teenage girl and the transition to womanhood and stuff and it's SO GOOD because it's told through this really horrific journey and environment. that's one of the things we like about silent hill more than resident evil, there are bigger themes and are more well done in our opinion. like resident evil is a bit more light and the themes tend to be more about material things like human greed and capitalism while silent hill is more things like trauma and abuse and growing up.

that was kind of long ANYWAYS every silent hill game has a slightly different type of horror from the others, we would say starting with sh1 is good. it's a bit more straightforward and is slightly more focused on the protagonists physical quest to find his daughter compared to other games where the motives of the characters and environment feel a bit more convoluted and stressful.

🧡 Minori: aspec cis lesbian! she literally never really had a realization, she's just never been interested in boys.

💙 Haruka: aspec agender transfem lesbian! she's also intersex and came out as transfem pretty young, it's not a secret but it's also something most people don't know about her

2. Disability headcanon!

🧡 Minori: hypermobility + autistic! she has joint pain frequently and spends a lot of time warming up to minimize pain and make dancing easier

💙 Haruka: autistic + dissociative + (canon) ED! growing up in the public eye she sort of developed a necessary detachment from herself in order to cope with it. even though she absolutely loves being an idol, it did leave negative impacts on her.

3. Any appearance headcanons (piercings, hair, style, skintone, etc.)!

🧡 Minori: we hc Minori as mixed! she's darker skinned and has freckles + curly hair. we also like her hair being slightly more orange than brown!

💙 Haruka: she has a few piercings! not a ton, but maybe lobes and a cartilage one. also she likes having shorter hair + sometimes an undercut in the summer! we also hc her as Chinese <3

4. Favorite focus event song!

🧡 Minori: DREAM PLACE by EasyPop. this is so hard because all Minori songs are absolute bangers, but dear me as I was back then is our favorite Minori event and the song is so funky

💙 Haruka: If by Yurrycanon. we feel like it fits her vibe the best! but ai no material is a close second, it's so graceful

🧡 Minori: likes law/attorney dramas! we like to think she played ace attorney- maya fey is her favorite character :)

YES ok here's the post we made right after watching it while it was still fresh. it's mostly critique looking back on it but we DID love it!! it's one of our favorites of the resident evil cg stuff- mostly because we loved seeing the characters interact 😂 but yes, we REALLY enjoyed it even though it wasn't a "good" movie and could have been a lot better

obvious big one is nagi but aside from characters with like huge impacts on the story, we love the pxl mascots/emu's bodyguards 😭😭 they're so sweet and seem to genuinely care about emu so much. we also like saku and iori with leoni and sakurako!!

14. On average, do you prefer Virtual Singer or SEKAI versions of covers/commission/songs in general (Can specify unit)

ohhhh that's really tough..... in terms of what's actually in the game (since they don't always keep the original vocal synth versions of songs) we'd say we probably tend to prefer sekai versions! ik people complain about it all the time but sometimes sekai tuning just falls flat. but like in general considering all original virtual singer versions compared to sekai..... we might prefer vocaloid versions? it really depends! like there are very few songs that we actually dislike one of the versions
