luke had promised himself to be on his best behaviour for the night, keeping mostly to himself as he kept an eye on his boyfriend. he didn't want to cause the other to get any strange looks for being with someone like him -- which hurt, but he could handle it. however, the moment he looked up and saw someone touching charlie's ass, luke was up and at charlie's side in a flash. he rough shoved the man away from his boyfriend, glaring all the way. if only looks could kill. "what the fuck do you think you're doin', bud? you wishin' to die early?" he asked, a promise heard in his voice. "how about i cut your hands off first and we can see how much you like them up your ass instead? little taste of your own medicine," he threatened, the weight of his pocket knife reminding him he still had it on him.

it felt like the more time the two worked the late shift at the pool the less intense it was. he soon was able to relax when there and the two would even take on swimming after hours. he was enjoying the cool water on his skin as he waded relaxed watching lydia swim around. the water the light reflecting in the water danced on her skin made him smile a bit to himself, thinking how beautiful she looked. he watched in silence as she neared him and he felt his heart racing a bit as she got closer and closer. he kissed back sweetly once their lips met, admittedly shocked at her boldness. though it was welcomed. her moves to hold her face in his hands smiling as she explained having wanted to do that. chuckling he shakes his head a bit. There was a pleasant sort of warmth pulsing under his skin from the alcohol and the weed. Lips curling up at the corner of his mouth into a lopsided grin as he reached out for them. walking in on his partner asleep on the couch was always a welcomed sight to come home to. but as he noticed the channel his game was on currently still playing on the television, his amusement deepened. he plopped down beside them on the couch and scooped them into his arms as a kiss was planted on their forehead. “hey baby,” he roused them out of their sleep. “were you watching my game?” there was a playful hint to his words.

the familiar mop of brown hair wandering her store brought a smile to her lips, always finding herself enjoying the conversations she had with the other. "i'm glad! there's a few more books in that series and i can definitely throw in a frequent flyer discount for you!" at his suggestion of hanging out, red couldn't help but immediately nod as her answer, having spent the better part of the week wondering if she had any chance with him. "i would love that. i have a few hours left before closing but after that, i'm free all night."

Wonpil was sitting there humming softly as he folded a page from his notebook, he finished with his origami bird and small heart before taking his pen and scribbling a note, he smiled at himself like he was so proud of himself as he tore the paper out and he turned sliding it over to the person beside him feeling rather nervous because he usually didn’t openly ask people for things. The note he slid over read “I hope this isn’t weird but we both look a little lonely, so I made you these gift in hopes to start a friendship and was wondering if you would sit and talk with me if that’s not asking too much.” He watched them read over the note and he felt his nerves bubbling up wondering if they were going to dismiss him, one time he had a person look at him and crumble up his note throwing it in the trash , so now he was just a ball full of anxiety thinking the other was about to make him feel dumb for his note.

“ come on, ”   scoff fell from his lips in exasperation, head cocked to the side as ocean hues landed on the figure opposite him.   “ it’s not like i am asking you to stick your tongue down my throat in front of everyone. all i am asking is to come watch you play. ”   when tapping into the side of pragmatism, he understood why the initial response was no. there would be no hiding from thousands of prying eyes if he were sat in the stadium, no avoiding the forced rubbing of shoulders with friends and family of his teammates, no escaping invasive questions he could never answer honestly. but he had never been particularly pragmatic. and so hands landed on his shoulders, fingers gently tracing down his chest as he needed to employ a few tricks to persuade him.   “ it’ll be fine. what would even go wrong? ”

“I swear you’ve got me hypnotized.” Frank said softly, turning away from the movie they were watching to look at the other. While he meant it as a joke, Frank did have to admit there was some truth to it. He’d abandoned seriously watching the movie in favor of glancing over at them, since they held his attention much better. And he’d found that when he was with them, he didn’t have to hide any part of himself. He didn’t have to stay on guard. He found himself becoming more open minded, and hell, with them he actually liked trying new things and straying from his comfort zone.

luke had always thought the scrums that happened during games were impressive and entertaining. but, he was conflicted when it involved his boyfriend. he wasn’t worried that charlie couldn’t handle himself – he knew he could – but he was still on the edge of his seat as he watched. and, as soon as it was done, he practically ran to the locker room to clean up his boy. the sight of the other caused some pain in luke’s chest, but he couldn’t help but be proud. “i’m not mad at you, you idiot. i felt like i was going to throw up because i wanted to fight the guy myself. but, you looked to fucking hot – that guy won’t be fucking with you or your captain again that’s for sure,” he praised, wrapping his arms around charlie in a careful but snug embrace as he kissed the side of the man’s head. “i know you don’t do it a lot, but let another guy take care of it next time. i don’t want to be unable to kiss you because your lip is all split open – that’s obviously the top priority right now,” he teased as he pulled back slightly to hold the other’s chin.

dinner parties always made anya want to scream. she hated the small talk, she hated the strangers and she hated drinking whatever everyone else was drinking. oh, and oh god, she hated the music. anya slipped out after dinner, finding a space for her to clear her mind on the back deck. she should have known better, but she didn't expect someone else to come out, and yet, the sliding door rolled open, and then shut, and someone had come out onto the deck. "it's loud in there, eh?" she said, without looking over to see who it was.

ANAIS ARCHED HER BROW. HE may have told her that he didn't have anything to say, but the mischievous look on Heechul's face indicated otherwise. "Of course it suits me. I wouldn't do something that doesn't," she retorted. Truthfully, it was an impulsive decision due to her stressful week. She flicked the cigarette, tossing it to the nearest trash bin. "I'm capable of change–—if I want to," she riposted, rolling her eyes at him. "Unfortunately, we'll still be working together. As much as I want to, I can't entirely get rid of you." But as annoying as he was, they worked well together.

"look, look, you win!" makenzie concedes, voice trembling a bit as she grabs their arm to keep them from leaving. "i admit it, i like you, you win. so please just put me out of my misery and tell me you don't like me back so i can fucking get over it." it's humiliating to admit, but he feels like this is the only way out of the hell he's been stuck in.

zander was on his way to the kitchen for a drink when someone knocked on his front door, causing him to turn and stare at it in confusion. it was the middle of the night, and though he hadn't been sleeping, he wasn't exactly expecting company, either. his socked feet were quiet as he crept over to look through the peephole, surprise and delight replacing his shock as he saw connor standing on his doorstep.

quickly pulling open the door, he didn't have time to speak before his ex was leaning in and kissing him, and at that point words didn't seem all that important anyway. he wasn't sure how long the kiss lasted, but when they finally parted it only put a couple inches between them, and zander could feel connor's warm breath against his mouth. "then what took you so long?" he asked, taking connor's hand and stepping back into his apartment, pulling the other man along with him.
