I need someone, ANYONE to see what I'm seeing.
Wyll x Rion (Jaheira's sassy daughter).
Okay, okay, I know, but hear me out:
Wyll becomes Duke, Rion ranks up in the Flaming Fists. They meet again some time post game because of their jobs. Wyll trying to woo her while she is just struggling to keep him alive through assassination attempts and other political shenanigans. He tries so hard to have a romance straight out of a book, except he fails to realize that he's the princess and she's the knight in shining armor (and she's very grumpy about it).
They're both idealists and inherently good guys; they both want to protect Baldur's Gate as much as they can and help people. They're a perfect match in my heart.
He'd fall first, because maybe she reminds him of Florrick a little and maybe he sees the good she wants to do behind the grumpy sassy facade she shows the world and the love and care she has for her adopted siblings whom she practically raised. He would look at her and see how fierce and intense she is and maybe he would notice the assassin coming his way a tiiiiny bit before he shows it but she's always there to save him anyways and she looks really hot doing so, so what's the harm?
And she'd fall harder because she would be convinced at first that he's another one of those 'heroes' like her mum who in the pursuit of greatness forget to be good people but slowly she realizes that he's actually not like that at all, he's a 20-something romantic and a tiny bit goofy guy trying to take an entire city's wellbeing onto his shoulders both to honour his late dad and because he's just Like That and oh my god he's kinda cute actually what the fuck.
Wyll gets to be like "That's my wife!" *kicks feet* and Rion gets to be like "That's my husband!" *punches you in the face*
And their happily ever after would involve kids (adopted or not), awkward ballroom dancing with his very much not used to it wife, and reforming Baldur's Gate and the Flaming Fists to do better.
Does anyone understand my vision??? Please???

oh it's real depression hours
#giant hole in my ceiling from a leak from 3 years ago that restarted#and knowing the speed at which it got fixed last time shit's gonna be weeks#got a fucking bowl on the floor and everything and it's dripping water and bits of plaster so that's cool and great#cat's slowed down on eating even with the syringe assist#lab said it'll be 14 days before they have results#but if it's FIP that could be half of the time she has left#and there's a treatment that has an 85% success rate but it's not approved in a lot of countries so i'd have to get it myself#and it's the bones of a grand for the meds before even accounting for the syringes#and it's 84 days of injections which - this is the cat who won't even let me pill her so#but i can't even think of starting that until i know what it is for sure#and so i'm just gonna sit here and watch her die over the next two weeks#and most of that time is going to be spent trying to force her to eat and watching her growing to hate and avoid me#i literally just want to fucking scream 1% of cats ever get this why is it my best little friend in the world?#6 weeks ago she was the healthiest 12 year old you ever saw in your life#i've only got 60/195g of food into her today and that's taken hours and hours#this is torture for both of us idk what to do

i think the spontaneous airbenders are so interesting
#lok#like ok#i know the show focuses on bending cause it's sick and cool (and it is)#but there's more to each culture than just their bending (though of course the cultural importance of bending can not be denied)#so there's this really interesting dichotomy where these people suddenly gain this culturally significant trait#from a culture and nation that's been all but wiped out#and suddenly there's this pressure to learn about this unfamiliar history and rebuild a slain people#but all the new airbender recruits. they're all earth kingdom#though they were from ba sing se which is unique in it's status as being 'unaffected' by the war#(and of course by unaffected i mean the war gave the ruling power of ba sing se an excuse to assert absolute power over its citizens)#creating perhaps the starkest rich and poor imbalance of all cities across the nations#so obviously their feelings towards their home culture would be mixed already#but there's more to being earth kingdom than the treatment from the dai li. like their families and food and things like that#i know they couldn't have gone back to their homes because of the safety concern. but it's crazy to have your life uprooted and implanted#into a culture you're expected to make anew.#i guess it's a really unique way to be an immigrant#i'd have liked to see more airbenders from the fire nation and water tribes but i know the last few seasons of korra were heavily focused on#the troubles arising in a post-war earth kingdom#because. for all intents and purposes. the earth kingdom won the war.#it must be assumed that the fire nation was made to pay repairations towards the earth kingdom and water tribes. especially because of#how much the southern tribe was able to be rebuilt (zuko seems very familiar with tonraq who seemed to be the defacto southern leader before#before they officially took independance from the north#and so despite the creation of republic city on what was originally colonized earth kingdom land#the earth kingdom is doing very wall after the war#we didn't get to see much of the fire nation at all in korra and i'm sad because i'm so interested in what a post-war fire nation is like.#we know that they turned their military resources freely out to republic city as the 'united republic'#but other than that it's pretty sparse information#and i say the earth kingdom is doing well but i mostly mean financially#which doesn't help the people especially with the weath imbalance#the scars of war are on every nation. and the earth kingdom isn't any better off for winning
