Cellmyx First in the Nation to Receive FDA Clearance for a Reusable Fat Collection and Grafting System
The Lipo-Loop® system optimizes the fat grafting procedure from tumescence to harvest processing and delivery.
CARLSBAD, Calif., April 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Millennium Medical Technologies (MMT) DBA Cellmyx has become the first in the nation to receive FDA clearance for a reusable fat collection and transfer system used in plastic or reconstructive surgery and regenerative aesthetics. This FDA clearance includes components used with the company’s liposuction and body shaping technology as well. This same clearance granted approval for low weight, sterile, disposable lids with bag that can be used for collection and transfer as well.
The Cellmyx Collection Canisters, Lids, Luer Extension, and Bags are used in conjunction with hospital or surgery center vacuum and/or cleared pumps, tubing and cannulas for collection and transfer of aspirated fat. Using the system, untreated fat may be reinjected via a cleared injection apparatus. This same system can be used with Cellmyx’s AcquiCell™, its proprietary soft tissue harvesting device, along with Cellmyx’s Lipo-Loop®, a disposable tubing set, which provides a closed mechanical delivery system for harvesting and transferring fat.
“The Lipo-Loop® system, which was developed in collaboration with Dr. Steven Cohen, a highly regarded plastic surgeon in San Diego, California, optimizes the fat grafting procedure from tumescence, to harvest, to processing, and delivery,” said Greg Miles, CEO of Cellmyx. “It provides the surgeon with a simple, closed, sterile fat harvest and transfer system that is easy for them and their staff to use.”
These suction canisters are molded from medical-grade materials. They come in sizes of 250, 500, 1,000, 2,000 and 3,000 ml, are packaged non-sterile but are autoclavable. Each fat collection canister has a stainless-steel Luer fitting at its base to facilitate the transfer of untreated fat back into the patient using a cleared injection apparatus. The 1,500ml and 2,500 ml collection canisters are used in conjunction with single-packaged gamma radiated Sterile Lids and Liners, made of medical-grade materials too.
Cellmyx also provides a point of care, office-based, adipose-derived cell-processing solution that uses the products above. Its flexible system offers onsite ability to harvest highly viable adipose tissue and “save” viable stromal vascular fraction cells (SVF) to add back to the adipose planed for transfer. These SVF cells are made up primarily of stromal and vascular cells within adipose along with the patient’s endogenous stem cells.
Indications for use are for fat grafting to the breast, buttock or large volume contouring; natural breast augmentation; and breast reconstruction. The system also is used for capsular contracture, radiated breast or body tissue, deformities after injuries, orthopedic procedures and facial rejuvenation and reconstruction.

"HUMANS CAN ONLY THRIVE THROUGH MUTUAL CARE!" is such a fucking ironic take coming from somebody who's anti-trans.
I'm anti elective medicine, anti cosmetic surgery, and anti mind-body dualism.
The trans movement promotes the medicalization of gender nonconformity. Rather than breaking the oppressive social institution of gender, it enshrines gender as a medical institution.
So that's more and more lifelong medical patients. More and more work for endocrinologists, surgeons, and eventually oncologists. Mutual care means degrowth and an end to capitalism. Mutual care means no one should have to work more than 30 hours a week, including doctors.
Right now, most doctors work 50 hours a week to meet the medical needs of the population. But many doctors are working 80 hours a week. This overwork is required because capitalism creates a ton of medical patients. Capitalism creates unhealthy people while also medicalizing healthy people through the trans and cosmetic surgery movements. And overworking doctors leads to medical malpractice which leads to more patients to overwork doctors with.
More patients leads to more consumption of medical and pharmaceutical products. So medical manufacturing and big pharma can then produce and sell more products and grow their industries. And in the US, there's the medical insurance industry, too. They've created another lucrative way to turn medical patients into economic growth.
We need a more just medical system that is compatible with degrowth. And in order to achieve that, we need a society with less medical patients. We need a society that produces healthier people and we need to end capitalist elective medicine movements.
In addition to medical capitalism, the trans movement promotes mind-body dualism. That's a harmful philosophy to spread during an ecological crisis. We don't need people spending all their time every day analyzing their internal essences, genders, and souls. We need people to spend that time looking outward and analyzing the complex Earth system that we all share. Mind-body unity simplifies our understanding of our internal selves which leads to greater cooperation between people.
Real mutual care for gender nonconforming people would promote mind-body unity, not lifelong medicalization.

having made three different comic books now where it’s the main subject, what interests me most about the intersection of transness and the post-apocalypse is the assumption of scarcity of health care, and total breakdown of pharmaceutical production and distribution, basically eliminating trans health care as a given from the process of transitioning
it's already such a common anti-trans talking point that trans-related health care is a frivolous (if not outright wasteful or even degenerate) use of resources, provided only as a polite courtesy. "if it'll make you weirdos happy, fine." the idea that even just hormones are medically necessary is a hard sell, let alone surgery, because it requires rethinking what medically necessary means. No, being deprived of estrogen and a vaginaplasty isn't going to kill a trans woman the same way that being deprived of insulin is going to kill a diabetic.
What makes trans care medically necessary is tied to violence or suicide prevention on the extreme level (because getting clocked can put you at risk of great harm, and whether one remains closeted or not to avoid that harm their dysphoria may be so bad as to cause ideation) but also quality of life on the moderate level (if one assumes that care that would make someone simply happy with themself would be necessary). you basically have to accept the assumption that if somebody wants a surgery or wants hormones, it becomes medically necessary just because they want it. to argue otherwise is to means test peoples’ transness, and is why universal health care applying to all kinds of health care is an issue of body autonomy as well.
The quality of life argument has a lot of overlap with appearance-altering and beautification surgeries in general, which is why they are often classified as "cosmetic* in direct opposition to classifications of other surgeries as "necessary." Being trans and trying to transition surgically is basically a war against your insurance company to move your desired treatments from the former category to the latter on their billing forms.

I bring this up because there is no health insurance in the post-apocalypse. There are no plastic surgeons with big white offices and florescent lights that you take an hour-and-a-half train up north to see, and the NPCs  who exist in Fallout games as a diegetic way to alter your character's appearance mid-game don't count. There are no large drug plants manufacturing estrogen or testosterone on an industrial scale. If I remember right we're already experiencing a not insignificant hormone shortage because of how much of it is manufactured in the Ukraine.
So in a situation like the imagined or speculative post-apocalypse where the complex network of bureaucracies, institutional gatekeeping, pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution, economics, and highly skilled niche medical labor completely falls apart, to where you can't just book an appointment and get what you need the way you used to even if you wanted to. there’s already in our present day the horror of countless transsexuals who are deprived the care that they need for economic reasons -- that’s a euphemism for them being too poor to afford it, and being punished for that poverty -- but in the imagined post-apocalypse, it’s like, it’s not just that you can’t afford to eat someplace anymore, but that the restaurant is gone because it exploded and now you might never eat the food they served, ever, even if you could afford it. it’s in the imagined post-apocalypse when that old chestnut talking point of trans-related health care being frivolous rears its ugly head

for now have a mumbled incoherent mess from my brain:
Arceus is the one who suggested and subsequently nominated Volo to have patriarch family title. uses his house to continually smuggle drugs supporting his cosmetic business to create “the perfect specimen of humans”.
Arceus leads a religious cult promising people they can “attain heavenly beauty” by purchasing his illegally manufactured products that makes it easier to endure cosmetic surgery/organ transplants. Some organs have been transferred to an underground church where cultists congregate.
Arceus whilst on his travels finds cogita, infatuated with her; she marries volo instead. She sees right through Arceus—attempts to convince Volo out of being essentially his enforcer. arceus plans her death during her pregnancy with Cynthia. fails (obviously). doesn’t know she’s alive (yet). Manipulates Volo into believing he was the cause of Cogita’s near death experience.
Palkia and Dialga want to inherit Arceus’s cosmetic business but these two big bara idiots obviously won’t get inheritance. Because they are self-absorbed and entitled to their beliefs.
Giratina originally teams up with volo because fuck dad’s strict religious practices and beliefs. fuck yeah anarchy; also bc arceus is a general narcissistic asshole that doesn’t even give a shred of support for his disowned third and final son.
Giratina eventually goes to do his own shady business practices and constructs a “market” selling the same drug at discount to hookers. Where he and Mesprit first met encounter each other. He’s the “graverobber” of Repo! in this case.
Volo has to choose between Arceus and Cogita. Cogita persistently tells him to abandon Arceus’s ideal world—costing her left eye and subsequent altercation occurs. Months after, Cogita spikes Volo’s drink with cyanide. His death was ruled a suicide.
Cogita takes over Volo’s family stead. Has her own big bara masculine army. Pragmatic girlboss now. Still has to deal with Arceus’s nonsense. Like him trying plotting to hold Cynthia for ransom unless Cogita relinquishes her position and weds him.
Cynthia is a Japanese MMA fighter. Gets tangled up in all the family drama because Arceus wants her to take over the business.
Mesprit is hooked on Giratina’s drug that’ll nullify the pain for her constant need for body beautification to feel loved and appreciated by the world.
Cynthia meets Mesprit and Giratina. They get along (kind of).
Cogita just wants to live a quiet and content life with her hostesses and bodyguard, Enamorus. Thunderus, Tornadus and Landorus are also there as her big bara bodyguards.
