I know yesterday there was a big April Fool’s joke involving Joy and Jenny, so I waited to post this for today! This was my 10 year anniversary of cosplaying. My 10th Sakura Con. I remade the very first cosplay I ever made- my mom and I made Nurse Joy together in 2008. It was the first time I ever wore a wig and I “styled” it ten minutes before we left the house. Ten years ago colors choices were non existent, now we have amazing companies like @ardawigs where we can really dial down the perfect color for the character. We even have @cospixnet and @cosplaymccalls for information and patterns! The way we create cosplay has changed so much in ten years, it’s amazing 💕 It was a real Joy to wear this costume this weekend, and I’ll definitely wear her again. What was the first costume you ever created? How long ago?
