Fuck it, CotL au with my lesbians
Lil bit of musing under the cut
Topaz was not originally going to be a God, as the crown was destined for her brother, Amar. However, her Amar died during the War with all the other gods, so the crown was inherited to her.
She doesn’t wield it as graceful as her brother once did, but she tries her best. Her following had dwindled greatly since the loss of Amar, but due to the Title of the crown itself and its power, she still has more than the average amount of followers a god would have.
She very cold and distant during this time, not paying much attention to her followers and her domain as she’d hide her self away often. That is, till she met Peony.
Peony is the God of Harvest, a small, minor god in perspective to the rest, but she doesn’t let that stop her trying her best to enact her duties. Due to her title, obviously her domain has the best, most flourishing of farms and flora. Her followers are well fed, with small, but lovely homes all lovingly built from the wood that grows inside her domain.
In comparison to Topaz, she is a much younger god, a few millennia younger, but she’s wiser beyond her years. It is because of this that she helps Topaz come out from hiding, and slowly return to her role as a god for her followers.
With their powers together, both of their domains flourish exponentially! Topaz’s returns from ruin and new followers trickle in every day, while Peony’s domain grows ten fold.
It was no surprise to either set of followings when the two gods announced they were romantically together, and hosted a beautiful wedding. Their domains now combined, they live a peaceful eternity together.

Cotl AU: Webs of Fate
Below is the beginning of my Lore for my Au: Webs of fate
How the Bishops Earn Their Crowns
The Crowns are not given freely. They are not inherited, or are they simply bestowed by divine right. To earn a Crown, one must suffer, not just any suffering, but a loss that reflects the opposite of the power they are destined to wield. Only through enduring the very thing they are meant to counterbalance can they be deemed worthy.
Each Bishop's ascension follows the same cruel cycle:
They live, unaware of what they will become.
They face great loss—the negative reflection of their future power.
In the depths of that suffering, the Crown appears to them.
If they accept it, they are forever changed, marked as a Bishop/God.
The Bishops and Their Trials
Shamura, Crown of Peace → Loss through War
Watched their home burn. Their people slaughtered.
The Webs of Fate, reduced to ash by their own mother.
Only after war took everything did the Crown of Peace appear.
Their irony: They wear the Crown of Peace, yet they have become War itself.
Kallamar, Crown of Healing → Loss through Pestilence
Watched disease consume his people, helpless to stop it.
Every healer, every cure—failed.
Only after the sickness had claimed everything did the Crown of Healing appear.
His irony: Now he can heal, but he could never save the ones he loved.
Leshy, Crown of Order → Loss through Chaos
Lived in a world of wild, untamed destruction.
No structure. No control. Anarchy devoured all.
Only after his world collapsed under chaos did the Crown of Order appear.
His irony: He now enforces Order, but he was born from Ruin.
Heket, Crown of Harvest → Loss through Famine
Watched crops wither, animals die, people starve.
No matter how hard she fought, there was never enough.
Only after hunger had taken everything did the Crown of Harvest appear.
Her irony: She creates abundance, yet she knows what it means to starve.
Narinder, Crown of Death → Loss through Life (or Immortality?)
He watched the cycle of life continue endlessly, trapping him.
Or he saw others die while he remained, unable to follow.
Only after he lost his connection to death did the Crown of Death appear.
His irony: He rules over death, yet he is cursed to never die.
Before Narinder's imprisonment
The crowns had different eyes based on their uncorrupted powers. All eyes are inspired based on symbols based on their ability.
Tumblr media
Shamura's was the first to become corrupted, their 'Peace' hardly lasting more than a few centuries, turning from a Sun to a Crescent moon, much like the one in Cotl. "The rising sun after peace, dawn shining over a new day.
When the corruption takes hold, it twists into the shape of a crescent, a harbinger of change. It signifies that the sun has set on peace, ushering in the cold, unrelenting night of war." The "Corruption" is Shamura's trauma, from their loss. Shamura, though they had lost their way, works to keep their Siblings from falling from grace like they had, being the Wise elder sibling they needed, encouraged them to expand outside their comfort zones. Some tried to expand their power more than others. I guess this is the uhm.. Most I've gotten so far. I hope yall enjoyed reading. Next up, Shamura's Origin's.

Oooh, I like the idea of Demo having a photographic memory/Encyclopedia powers and being able to perfectly store any information he wants, he uses it 90% of the time to remember music facts and random trivia about stuff he likes (omg... his power is autism, good for him fr fr)
The reason he still ends up in MHA even with a pretty non-aggressive quirk that he can use his quirk to quickly build very destructive weapons out of basically anything and easily cross-reference his way into learning his enemies' weakness (how he passed the entrance exame). Would also be cool and make sense with his character if he had a inherited some type of thick-skin mutation, even if just so he can survive in battle easier (basically Koda and how he's basically made of rock despite it not having anything to do with his actual quirk)
Again, you made me way to invested in this, I was having a nice morning catching up with my favorite cotl fanfic before this but nooooo, now O being plagued with MHA brainrot and can't help but have a million world building ideas. How very dare you, mx. (ms?) rocksiblings, how very dare you /silly
Oh yeah Demo mostly uses it for random trivia, music and organization purposes, but I like the idea he uses it to also store fighting techniques and how to make impromptu weapons.
Sorry to everyone I gave the BNHA brain worms to. But I'm interested to hear your ideas for this AU.
This will be the only thing on my mind for the next few days.

Meet Leviathan: my CotL OC!!
Tumblr media
Leviathan aka Levi is the 2nd Bishop of Famine in my AU!
Bio: Leviathan loved Heket, the previous Ruler of Anura, and was her right-hand for many years. After she can't be found, he inherits the Yellow Crown. Later, when he learns that Heket is living as a chef in Lambert's Cult, he calls on her to return, but she refuses, and he develops an intense grudge against Lambert and Narinder for ripping her from the throne. He then colludes with the Umbrella Cult to create an indiscriminate zombie terrorism that threatens to destroy the island!
I think I should've colored him pink, not beige...

Explaining more OT!Verse lore part ???
So, I think it's time to explain how certain magic and entities work here. For starters, in this multi-verse their called vessel holders. Now, what exactly are vessel holders? Vessel holders are those who gain their magic through a higher being in their respective au like elemental beings, demons of high power, gods and celestial beings.
For example, Chaos my cotl (Cult of the lamb) au got his power through the one who waits. Now, here's the thing; certain aus who get their power through said beings may or may not end up being converted into a higher power themselves. Chaos will inevitably become a god himself later in the future. Vessel holders can also get it through inheritance too. C!Angel is a vessel holder since his magic came through one of his parents (although he doesn't know that). Vessel holders will often have halos around their necks and/or features of said higher being. Does that make C!Karasu one? Well...yes and no. Technically his magic came from the VoidStalkers but, that got a bit diffused due to the magic of the nether from the Kasai and the corruption. Now he IS a vessel holder but not from the VoidStalkers. He mainly got what is his current magic abilities through the Kasai and the Nether itself. The Fallen God's magic doesn't count because, in his lore Karasu had already made a pact/contract through the Kasai at the time to literally be their host. In return, they made him stronger.
Will Karasu become a God or a higher being? Yes! The "entity" you saw is a Kasai....just not one of the other ones...a much STRONGER one. The Kasai are like demons and can grow in strength. Due to the fact that Karasu is open to be a host to ALL of the Kasai, it would make sense that a stronger one can reside inside his soul too....just dormant :).
Tumblr media
Here's Chaos as an example of what I meant by halo and features. Anyways, sorry for the lore dump. C!Karasu and the Kasai belong to me. The VoidStalkers and Artemis belong to @wolftatoe-potatoe. The storylines of MY personas belong to me. I do NOT own any of the fandoms/games that their inspired by. All rights go to their respective owners.
Thanks for coming to my TedTalk :D!

Bishops
general concepts 4 the bishops in this au!!!
(at least the main 4, as Narinders’ sorta on the backburner development-wise! tldr for them though is they Aren’t a good person at all, barely any redeeming qualities & even the few they do have don’t make up for anything)
Shamura (It/They : Tarantula) - Oldest; byfar the most intelligent & put-together, has a hard time communicating their ideas verbally though & gets frustrated incredibly fast, the most “by-the-book” about the Old Faith and thinks things must be how they’ve always been
Heket (It/She : Frog) - Second oldest; act first think never later type! incredibly greedy and constantly wants more, no matter how much she already has. Hoards resources, even from her siblings, and incredibly self-absorbed. Holds grudges and only ever makes decisions in the context of “what would benefit me”; even if there’s obviously benefit to deciding otherwise
Kallamar (It/He : Squid) - Third Oldest; cowardly. Totally spineless, will threaten someone then only follow through if said person physically can’t fight back. A really dirty fighter. He does care for his siblings, but he’d gladly throw them under the bus if it means he’d come out fine. Honestly the most frail of the bunch! Talks obnoxiously loud, just like Asterion!!
Leshy (It/He/They : Leech) - Youngest; intelligent but totally unpredictable. Acts really frantic half the time and jumps from one topic to the other with absolutely no reasoning. Doesn’t concern itself much with anything except things they find interesting! Though they know that, being the youngest (but still thousands of years old), Shamura especially cares for them; if they’re faced with something chances are they’ll literally just whine as much as possible just to have one of the others handle it for him. A lil’ on the annoying side because of this but they very well know what they’re doing 👍

I didn't really have anything prepared for Valentine's yesterday. So.... how about a wip panel of a three panel comic I'm doing for some inheritance funnies?
Tumblr media
It's probably obvious at this point from my character notes that I have a Beetle follower named Papa, and I ship him wildly with Shamura.

Another Cult of the Lamb au from me (with help from my lovely sister as always). This one is basically a next gen au with the bishops having children that someday inherit their old crowns. We call this au....
Inheritance
With the crowns being created by Chemach, it hatched an idea of "what if she created small pendants that hold a fraction of the crowns' powers?" The children of the ex-bishops then have to prove themselves worthy of the crowns by first practicing with the pendants and passing some tests linked to their given crown.
Once earning their crown, they rise under the Lamb as the Bishops of the New Faith.
Webber (Adopted son of Shamura), Bib (Daughter of Narinder), Hoagie (Son of Heket), Newt and Kiki-Marie (Children of Kallamar (they're half siblings) Kiki having a stronger bond with her uncle Leshy)
Here's some drawings of the kids with some notes!

Some more oc characters made for Inheritance. They serve as guides of the four areas of the Lands of the Old Faith to the new faith bishops (Webber, Newt, Kiki and Hoagie) once they start restoration of their family's old temples
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Morgan is a scorpion who grew up in Silk Cradle worshipping the Purple Crown
Iridia is a tiger salamander who grew up in Anchordeep worshipping Bishop Kallamar and the Blue Crown
Order is a puma/mountain lion who grew up in Darkwood and worked directly for Bishop Leshy as his personal historian/scholar/babysitter
Olive is a chipmunk who didn't originally grow up in Anura but spent quite a few years in the area experimenting on the vegetation (also note her fur didn't start out red/magenta. That was her fault)
