メリュジーヌの水浴

レンダモンは中をのぞいて見ました。そしてメリュジーヌが水浴びをしているのを見たのです。レンダモンは、木の枝の上に降り積もった雪のように、腰までは真っ白で、よく整った、優美で美しい身体と、生き生きと輝いた顔をしたメリュジーヌを見ました。彼女についてお話しするなら、まことこれ以上に美しいものはいませんでした。しかし彼女の下半身は蛇の尾だったのです。それは本当に太くて恐ろしいものでした。尾は銀色と紺碧色に輝いていました。激しく尾がうねると、水が逆巻きました。
