if/when tumblr dies this lil project of mine will probably come to an end. there really is no other place where i feel like i could be doing what i am doing here
i mean you will still find me on instagram (@_codexcore_) but yk... making posts on ig lowkey makes me feel like i'm just adding noise to a corporate-shaped void

hi yeah so this was an april fools joke! thank you for playing along everybody, i had a lot of fun!
i'm genuinely sorry though to everybody who took it at face value and was actually distressed bc of it. in my defense i did spend some time yesterday doing damage control, i.e. sending dm's to people where i wasn't quite sure if they were in on the joke to make sure i'm not accidentally spreading misinformation, and i am going to do some more of that today just to be safe. i didn't expect the post to blow up like it did. the 2023 cyberattack part was real btw, that really happened.
also, just bc this is my chance to say it lol, medieval and other historical manuscripts belong in libraries and museums and i have nothing but contempt for rich "collectors" who privately buy/own/sell them. which is very much a thing unfortunately, and leads to shit like this:
Tumblr media
wdym the british library is going to auction off 20% of their manuscripts to private collectors in order to make up for their losses from the 2023 cyber attack?? HELLO???
