COVID-19 Variants – What You Need to Know

COVID-19 stands for Coronavirus disease. It is an infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which comes from the coronavirus family of viruses (hence the name Coronavirus disease). In this article we will go through some of the variants of this deadly virus.

Variants of COVID-19

There are many variants of COVID-19, but the ones approved by WHO as “variants of concern” are:

1. Beta- coronavirus: Betacoronavirus is a genus of four-member viruses that infect mammals. Member viruses are enveloped, positive-strand RNA that can infect mammals and other animals such as bats and rodents.

2. Alpha-coronavirus: Alphacoronaviruses are members of the first genus in coronavirus classification. They infect mammals including humans and other primates with rounded virions topped by spikes that form from trimers called spike proteins which make up its exterior envelope layer for protection against host immune system attack cells on arrival into bodily cavities or tissues like respiratory tracts where they begin multiplying rapidly until an appropriate tissue environment can be found then these particles burst forth releasing new copies using their own sort viral DNA Replication Polymerase Gene.

3. Gamma-coronavirus: Gammacoronavirus is one of the four genera or types in coronaviruses. It's an enveloped, positive-sense single-stranded RNA virus that can be found wherever animals live humans as well with GRS and SARS causing infections spreading across continents due to human trafficking networks.

4. Delta-coronavirus: Deltacoronavirus is one of the four genera in coronaviruses. They are enveloped, positive-sense single-stranded RNA viruses that infect mainly birds but sometimes mammals as well.

As mentioned above, there are thousands of variants of covid-19, but these are the deadliest of them. There is no cure found to fight covid-19 et but there are some vaccines that are being rolled out in different countries which can help boost anti-bodies. One other preventive measure that institutes can resort too is installation of a Shycocan scalene hypercharge. This device will be able to deactivate coronavirus.
