What is Magento extension development?
I. Magento Extension Development:
Magento extension development is like creating extra tools or features for a particular online shop. Imagine you have a primary online store and want to add more things, like a better search bar or a new way to pay. That's what we do when we develop Magento extensions. We make these unique add-ons to make your online shop work better and do more things.
II. Understanding Magento Extensions:
Magento extensions act like building blocks that can be added to your online store to enhance its functionality and capabilities. Each block adds a new ability to your store, such as integrating with a partner to simplify product discovery or connecting your store to Facebook to showcase your products. Magento extensions are versatile tools that serve various purposes and are built to integrate with your online store seamlessly.
III. The Development Process:
When we make a new extension for your online store, we follow these steps:
Planning: First, we figure out what you need. What should the new tool do? What features should it have? It's similar to designing the layout of a new room in your house.
Coding: Now, we start building the new tool using code, like the language that computers understand. We use PHP, JavaScript, and XML to create this tool and make it work with your online store.
Testing: We make sure the new tool works well. We check if it does what it's supposed to do, and we make sure it keeps your online store and other devices.
User Interface (UI): We create an easy-to-use panel so you can set up and control the new tool. It's like adding buttons and switches to maintain your new room's lights and appliances.
Documentation: We write instructions to help you understand how to install, set up, and use the new tool. It's like providing a user manual for your new room's gadgets.
Submission: We can share the new tool with others if you want. We can put it where people can find it quickly and add it to their online stores.
Maintenance and Updates: After we finish, we're here to help. If there are problems or you want to improve your tool, we'll fix and update things.
IV. Key Components of Magento Extension Development:
When we build an extension for your online store, we use different parts to make it work:
PHP Code: We write instructions in a particular computer language called PHP to create the tool's abilities.
XML Configuration: We use XML files to tell your online store how the device should behave and how to connect with it.
JavaScript: We add JavaScript to make the instrument more interactive, like buttons you can click.
User Interface (UI): We designed a simple and user-friendly control panel so you can adjust how the tool works.
Compatibility: We ensure the tool works well with different versions and setups of your online store.
Testing: We do many tests to ensure the device does what it's supposed to and doesn't cause any issues.
Documentation: We provide clear instructions so you know how to install, set up, and use the tool effectively.
Custom extensions are tailor-made tools for your online store, built to meet your specific needs. They're like custom solutions designed just for you.
Magento extension development is about creating extra tools or features for your online store to make it more useful and better for you and your customers. Buy Now and maximise sales with Magento extensions!

Okay, so as you guys know, I run a book store, and one of the perks is doing your own displays (I've had this up for a while now...).
Today, I was cleaning up graphic novels, and this dudebro, smugly, points to Rogue and Gambit and says: Oh, he better watch out.
Me: Oh?
Dudebro: Yeah, she's about to kill him.
Me: No, I think they're okay.
Dudebro: *explaining it to me as if I was dumb* No, her powers drain people dry. She's gonna zap him and he'll be dead.
Me: *smiling* She can control her powers now. It's not a problem.
Dudebro: *laughs smugly* I doubt that. He's still gonna end up dead.
Me: Well, they've been happily married for six years now. I think he's gonna be just fine.
*smiles in customer service and walks away*

don’t know if anyone else uses the better canvas extension on firefox or chrome on here, but here’s my custom theme if anyone wants to use it!!
instructions:
install the better canvas extension (i also like to use tasks for canvas, another extension that makes my to-do list look like it does on the right)
once installed, click on the extension from your extension dropdown and make sure dark mode is turned on
scroll down to “more options” and click on “theme”
scroll to the bottom where it says “import”, then copy and paste this into the box:
{"dark_preset":{"background-0":"#4C3C60","background-1":"#8265ab","background-2":"#8265ab","borders":"#8265ab","text-0":"#a18fbf","text-1":"#CFBFE6","text-2":"#CFBFE6","links":"#907bb5","sidebar":"linear-gradient(#8265abc7, #8265abc7), center url(\"https://i.ibb.co/BZhF7XY/eb51dc8614-out.gif\")","sidebar-text":"#f5f5f5"},"custom_cards":["none","none","none","none","https://i.ibb.co/sm8sv9m/34b1571825-out.gif","https://i.ibb.co/KWzXyv7/ec300dbdca-out.gif","https://i.ibb.co/FBkshyQ/b04b0568b6-out.gif","https://i.ibb.co/s1WzcsX/305265f91f-out.gif","https://i.ibb.co/N6FbyyN/589620c58f-out.gif"],"card_colors":["#589fb2","#6aa192","#f7c68c","#fc847e","#ff7199"],"custom_font":{"link":"EB+Garamond:wght@400;700","family":"'EB Garamond'"},"hide_feedback":false,"dark_mode":true,"remlogo":true,"full_width":true,"auto_dark":false,"assignments_due":false,"gpa_calc":false,"gradient_cards":false,"disable_color_overlay":true,"dashboard_grades":true,"dashboard_notes":false,"better_todo":false,"condensed_cards":false,"device_dark":null,"relative_dues":false,"card_overdues":false,"todo_overdues":false,"gpa_calc_prepend":null,"auto_dark_start":{"hour":"20","minute":"00"},"auto_dark_end":{"hour":"08","minute":"00"},"num_assignments":4,"assignment_date_format":false,"todo_hr24":false,"grade_hover":false,"hide_completed":false,"num_todo_items":4,"hover_preview":true,"gpa_calc_bounds":{"A+":{"cutoff":97,"gpa":4.3},"A":{"cutoff":93,"gpa":4},"A-":{"cutoff":90,"gpa":3.7},"B+":{"cutoff":87,"gpa":3.3},"B":{"cutoff":83,"gpa":3},"B-":{"cutoff":80,"gpa":2.7},"C+":{"cutoff":77,"gpa":2.3},"C":{"cutoff":73,"gpa":2},"C-":{"cutoff":70,"gpa":1.7},"D+":{"cutoff":67,"gpa":1.3},"D":{"cutoff":63,"gpa":1},"D-":{"cutoff":60,"gpa":0.7},"F":{"cutoff":0,"gpa":0}}}

so xkit rewritten just? removed the option to force tumblr to always load the "following" tab?? i had all tabs hidden and i suddenly started seeing posts from ppl i don't even follow. turned it on to check and sure enough, i was on "for you" out of nowhere??
that's Lovely. i'm so happy that i have to manually switch to the actual following tab now. (being sarcastic. i hate it)
edit: or not?? idk, it varies based on when I refresh the page.... it was booting me to the "for you" tab a few times but sometimes i'll open up tumblr and it's the way i had it before? i still don't see the "force following tab" option in xkit anymore tho so it's a mystery I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
