Update on my next custom Blythe, Widow; I think I gave her hair a little trim since my last post, but the actual big improvement is this headband I'm working on now. Since I had her swap wigs with another doll, the scalp just didn't match as well as I'd hoped and I've tried different paint and sealers to fix it, but I've decided it's really just the fact that there's a seam, that's the problem. (All the dolls have scalp seams, but with the makeup, it just stands out more). So goth headband it is. Looks good. I think all I have left on this girl is the pull strings. This spider dress is similar to one of my mod dresses in like a wine red fabric, but then it also has lacey black spider fabric layered over top, all sewn together as a one piece dress. Never did anything like that before, and I am really pleased with how it turned out. I love it when a custom doll plan comes together! So the next custom doll up for adoption will probably be #customblytheSpooky because she's all put together and mostly dressed, but behind her will most likely be the goth doll I'm working on. Had a bit of a dilemma with the goth doll though; I gave her this gorgeous, out there eyeliner, but her original wig has bangs that will completely cover up the best parts! That's not going to work, so I acquired another stock doll and they are going to swap wigs. That should work, and then I think I'm also going to end up making a shiny face goth doll, with make up that works with bangs, after that.
