A commission!! the commissioner was super cool and just wanted me to pick a song from @vyl3tpwny 's CUTIEMARKS and do some art of it, so i chose one of my personal favorites, Wayfarer. it just hits right, somehow!

so i've been learning to draw, and up until now i've just been drawing completely from reference.

so today i challenged myself to draw something original. i decided to make an alternate cover for my current favorite album CUTIEMARKS by Vylet Pony.

its not perfect and i already have thoughts on how i can improve next time, but im still really proud of my first original piece of art!!

She had: Faded blush, faded glitter cutiemark, a tail that was falling out because the tail washer had fallen out

First time fixing up a cutiemark like this. Not perfect but im happy with it its better than her not having a cutiemark at all hehe. Also the glitter is biodegradable so dont yell at me about using it

First off: her tail stopper was kind of sticking out of her butt when i got her hfhdhfhf so I gently pulled the tail out

Turns out the tail washer had fallen out and gotten stuck in her leg! This was removed.

So she ended up getting an oxiclean bath, getting nice and clean

styled her hair! This would become messier after the cutiemark repair process but I really wanted to wash her Before doing the cutiemark (the cutiemark repair could be damaged by serious washing)

Here are the glitters I picked out to make the repair

so really the cutiemark was a whole process in of in itself. Slowly painted it on and added glitter. I did the moon first before touching up the stars. though its a bit thicker, i wanted to have two layers of glitter to ensure full coverage

I don't have like any of the MLP references in this project but it's still one of the coolest things I heard. For me it's just a cool EDM album with cool lyrics but for a MLP fan it may be a goldmine. Fun,cringe and free, varied, I adore this thing and I don't even know why, thx vylet pony u make good music
