not shifting related, but i hath figured out that i don’t have selective mutism, but actually instead have verbal shutdowns.
#cosmoposts#marsposts#newtposts#cosmorambles#marsrambles#newtrambles#because like it happens whenever i’m overwhelmed/overstimulated/etc.#and not in just certain situations or anything#it also happens when i’m exhausted and burnt out#i just physically find it difficult/impossible to speak then#that’s why i want proper communication cards soooo bad#cuz it happens quite often and i wannnnt to communicate during those times#verbal shutdowns#i have shutdowns more than i have meltdowns too#and they’re all varied#sometimes the rage ones#sometimes the ones where i just wanna ball/am numb and have the verbal shutdown#and i don’t have meltdowns as much anymore#those happen when i’m REALLY under distress#which luckily isn’t as often as it used to be#neurodivergent
