I feel like this is important to share. If you’re using mods in Cyberpunk 2077 I’d really recommend to stop using them asap. I came across what appears to be a fairly dire warning about a potential exploit that can happen if you use mods or crafted saves. 

“ The problem is that malicious code can be buried within a mod or crafted save and be executed so the creator of that mod or save could take control of a user’s PC. The report says CDPR has been made aware of the vulnerability, but they did not fix it with the recent 1.11 hotfix. Reportedly, this can have some damaging effects on PlayStation as well, not just PC. “

The Cyberengine tweaks mod is the only mod that has taken meassures and has a hotfix. So update it fast!

As I was reading Love after the End, I was reminded just how colonial SFF often is as a genre, whether it’s about “conquering new worlds” and literally establishing colonies, or centring Medieval England in fantasy stories, or just holding up white, straight, cis, male protagonists as the heroes. This collection is such a refreshing change of perspective. These stories include a relationship with the land that isn’t common in science fiction stories. They assume a greater responsibility for protecting the Earth than I’m used to from a dystopia. The question of whether to stay on a planet that’s been destroyed by (white, wealthy) human activity is very different here than in a typical white space travel story.

… There’s also an m/m romance story between a teenage boy and an AI who is also a cyberengineered super-intelligent rat! (In this story, same-sex relationships are accepted, but human/AI romantic relationships were the “the sort of thing that was whispered about, something that lived in the shadows.”)

would you mind sharing your cyberpunk modlist? i'm going in for my second playthrough and i KNOW you have excellent taste and i'm very very VERY overwhelmed by the nexus. only if you feel comfortable doing so.

hm o fuck i feel like this list isnt wholly accurate because i switch out mods a lot. There are some things better suited for you searching on your own bc there’s a lot to choose from so i’d suggest looking up things like ‘Hair’,  ‘Complexion’,  ‘Cyberware’ and whatnot. Also browse the clothing&armor category bc you’ll find much more than what i use!

It just plays pinball with my three remaining neurons that Kancolle clones do basically everything Kancolle should’ve done the right way.

Let me preface this by saying that I have fond memories of the game. I played Kancolle for more than just a while, it led me to meeting a lot of interesting people I consider my friends nowadays, as well as giving me countless hours of fun. I am, in no way, taking an unilateral diarrhea on Kancolle, but you really must drinking spoiled milk if you think all these Chinese clones aren’t whooping its ass sideways. Brand loyalty and Stockholm Syndrome are important parts of why it still is standing, because between the lack of any actual gameplay and an interface straight outta 1914, it holds no matches, let alone candles, to what all these clones do in terms of gameplay, design, menu comfort, quality of life aspects, and not remaining the same for five years.

And it’s not that the clones are cyberengineering masterpieces of any description, they are still very much basic browser games, barebones sometimes, even. It’s just, even in that state, they amount to more than rectangles vibrating and outright intentionally malicious game design.
