fe13 rarepair hell on ao3 is REAL... there are maybe 3 cynigowain fics out there but so many where they are cousin blocked. why

it IS 😭 i know its so easy for them to be cousins but its also so easy for them to be.......... not

ao3 doesnt have separate character tags for male and female morgan and a lot of fics dont specify which in the tags so i really gotta go digging bc theres a significantly higher ratio of girl morgan/owain to boy morgan/owain content. theres like one other person out there that has written good content for my rarepair and they have already found my fic lmao

i've had a few new followers recently so, hi! this seemed like a fun way to let you know what to expect. if you've been here for a while, i hope you're all very impressed that i managed to restrain myself and only put cynigowain for three of these

very quick additional notes under cut;

lucina/laurent is their fast support and it's REALLY sweet. i tend to build physical lucinas so i pair her with gerome in game but i still love lucina/laurent.... and gerolucilaur is so good too

it was very in character for my first robin to throw fruit first and think of a reason later and i've had a soft sport for robin/lon'qu ever since. he's a good dad for a van/ven morgan!! maybe not the best, but if you're not doing apotheosis... it's fun. i love vantage/vengeance morgan. i love robin being a menace and a pest

i was neutral on sumidelia until i did their harvest scramble conversation and now i want sumia to take out a restraining order against her. if anyone ever speaks to you the way cordelia speaks to sumia they are not your friend

i was going to say that i dont think anyone in cynigowain can drive but i think what actually happens is that they have a buff/debuff triangle effect based on the arrangement of the driver and the front seat passenger

inigo driving? owain in front. cynthia in the back. owain can chat away to inigo and hand him things and watch the satnav and keep inigo engaged and present and driving. owain will turn the music down and and give good directions and even hand feed inigo if necessary. cynthia can sleep in the back or chirp up if the conversation starts getting too heavy. and she can't put her hand on inigo's leg and distract him or fiddle with the radio station or put her feet up on the dashboard and she definitely can't skip ahead to the next song in the playlist before the one they're listening to even finished

but if owain is driving he needs cynthia in the front. he can't stop talking as he drives and inigo gets too contemplative and sad and starts asking hard questions. he's not ready to hand owain things when needed. cynthia on the other hand will listen to owain talking at her about almost anything and will offer helpful input so that he doesn't need anime OP megamix to keep his energy up plus she gets so engrossed in his story that she doesn't fiddle with the blowers or the radio or kick the things in the footwell. she helps keep focussed both on whatever he's telling her and the drive. when he's in the back on his own inigo is primed and ready to be the drinks and snack master and whatever big sad thoughts he's thinking can stay in his own head

unfortunately cynthia can't stand having owain in her passenger seat. he changes the playlist to one he likes and offers too many comments on everything. it's distracting. she's much better with inigo who can field owain's more urgent comments and doesn't mind if she puts a reassuring hand on his leg after doing a gear change. if inigo sings along softly with the radio that's much more tolerable than owain's attempts at "FIGHTING DREAMERS" when he doesn't know 70% of the words. and inigo is really good at holding her phone and correcting her voice-to-text SMS messages to her family and seventeen of her closest friends. he reads her the responses without doing funny voices. perfect tripartite harmony

if you like INIGO you should read his support with Cynthia including the S because it's inigo's best possible s support by a country mile and it's genuinely funny that she is the only girl who likes him. she doesn't even know that she has the kind of appeal he longs for. it's so good

and if you like OWAIN you should read his support with Cynthia including the S because they have a really interesting dynamic that is not just Cynthia playing along with his game. she is challenging him all the time and Owain thinks about it and concedes that she is right instead of doubling down before going into a really sweet and sincere confession. it's so good.

and if you like PLAYGROUND HAIRPULLING to JOINT SUICIDE PACTS you should read the following in this order: inigo and owain's support, inigo and owain's harvest festival conversation, the future past 2 script and then if you want to odin and laslows support from fates so you can appreciate the full arc of their friendship and how little impetus they need to decide they're going to die together unless Cynthia is around.

of course if you like CYNTHIA you have GOOD TASTE and should ruminate on how happy she would be with two boyfriends. THANK YOU
