PRINCESS DAENERYS TARGARYEN:Daenerys targaryen was the apple of the eye of the kingdom, so she did as much as she could. Rogatives and cataplasmas, soups and hot baths, blankets, skins and hot stones, infusions of nettle… The princess was six years old and had been weaned for several years, but a nurse-maid was summoned, for there were those who believed that breast milk could heal chills. The masters came and went; Septa and septa prayed; The king ordered that a One hundred rat hunters and offered a silver deer for each rat killed, either gray or black. Daenerys wanted her kitten and was granted such a wish, although her tremors became so violent that the cat escaped and scratched her hand.

Chapter 6 Viserys.
Viserys and Rhaella were still sitting and talking but they sent some maids to get them some tarts and more tea. “I love tea from the Reach, it has such a wonderful taste.” Viserys smiled as he sipped his tea. “Right you are, with all the berries it’s perfect.” Rhaella agreed. One of the things Viserys shared with his dear mother was their love of tea, another thing they shared was a love for sweet things, neither of them particularly enjoyed bitter things.
Rhaella was about to speak again when Ser Jaime entered the room. “My queen, I apologize for interrupting but the King would like to see you.” Rhaella sighed. “Ah, of course he does, let us go, Viserys. I'm sorry but I must leave.” Rhaella leaned forward and kissed Viserys on the forehead. Ser Jaime looked at them sympathetically before escorting Rhaella out of the room.
Viserys sighed before standing up and walking out of the room
“Maybe I can spend some time with Dany…”
Viserys was walking around the keep looking for Daenerys, perhaps once he found her they could leave the castle and go horseback riding, perhaps they could even bring their nephews and niece, that way none of them would have to listen to the screaming of the King and the crying of Rhaella. No matter what room of the castle they were in, everyone in the castle could hear them.
After wandering around for about 20 minutes Viserys came to the library, honestly he should have checked here first, it seemed every time one of his nephews, niece or sister weren’t around they were usually in the library. He looked inside and saw Rhaenys sitting on a chair reading a book out loud surrounded by Aegon, Aemon and Daenerys, this was a common occurrence, Rhaenys reading and everyone else sitting and listening. “I’m offended! How dare you not invite me!!” Viserys shouted in a clearly fake angry tone. “Apologies Vis, would you like to join us?” Daenerys smiled.
“NO, After this INSULT why would I?!?!?!” Viserys put a hand to his head as he spoke. truthfully despite his dramatic act Viserys loved seeing his family doing sweet things like this especially with all the yelling and screaming going through the castle. Rhaenys playfully rolled her eyes at Viserys' dramatic attitude. “Did you need something or did you just come to prove that your true calling is to be an actor?” Aegon and Daenerys snorted at Rhaenys remark, even Aemon made a slight sound of laughter. “Hmph, Well if you must know i was so bored i decided that i required you four's company while i go riding.” Viserys spoke in a still slightly dramatic tone. “Riding sounds fun.” Daenerys smiled. “Agreed plus it’ll get us out of the castle.” Aegon spoke. Aemon nodded in agreement. “Yes, let’s go.” Rhaenys spoke.

dany is an interesting character because her acts of violence routinely get framed as worse and more concerning than every other character whom one would label as 'perceivably morally good' in asoiaf. some of it is probably misogyny and some of it is strictly boxing dragons in the nuke metaphor category because "angry teenager has three nukes" does not result in particularly flattering readings of the character; but the rest is because revolutionary counterviolence often gets portrayed as just as bad (worse even) as the every day violence required to uphold an oppressive institution as a way to make some point about all violence in itself being evil. now the reason i don't believe asoiaf buys into that rhetoric is because dany's adwd story arc is basically her agreeing to one concession after another until the fighting pits are re-opened, she's married to a slaver, and the yunkish are slave trading right outside her city walls. i don't know why people are reading her choosing drogon in the fighting pit as her running away from her problems because i've always interpreted it as a rescue, she's a princess in the metaphorical tower, shackled to a peace the price of which is the continuation of slavery and the dragon is her rescue, the dragon is her knight, the dragon is her and the dragon is the truth she has been avoiding the whole book, that the choice she has to make in slaver's bay is not between war and peace but between war and slavery.
now the way she reaches this conclusion is kind of bad and concerning, "dragons plant no trees" is not the ideal thing to internalise but obviously that's a low point in her character arc, the way sansa believing littlefinger's philosophy of "it's all lies" is a low point in hers. and neither are whole truths. which is something that will get addressed later, because that's how character arcs work!
