There are two stories on this book, which premises are:

After saving Agumon from Evil Spiral Ring (taken from 02 Episode 11), Daisuke demands Takeru to explain the reason behind his words that has served as a catalyst of their fights on the mission ("We have no choice.").

Being in bad mood after bickering with Jun, Daisuke wonders if Takeru had had a fight with Yamato before (note: Takeru is visiting Motomiya household for helping Daisuke in doing his school assignments).

Miracle and Hope: Past and Present

Time goes by, and the boys are going to different directions in their lives. Yet, their bonds remain strong. When Miracles and Hope collide each other, there may be misunderstanding at first, yet they manage to reach each other.

That is what Daisuke and Takeru manage to do through the years.

This is my submission for Daikeru Day 2023 (or, in my view, DaiTake Day). Dedicated to @daikeruday

PS: 02!Takeru rarely shows his vulnerable side (which is mostly manifested in sudden outburst and anger) in canon. So, Daisuke comforting crying Takeru is obvious here.

As the cover says, the story is about Daisuke and co. having a summer camp in Digital World. The story takes place on 2003 (post-02, after the Chosen Children have defeated BelialVamdemon and also Armagemon in Spring 2003).

Regarding Daisuke/Takeru (as DaiTake shipper), I always imagine a certain potential in my head. It is true that Daisuke is constantly annoyed by Takeru's effortless teasing (and flirting). Nevertheless, I presume Daisuke will be the first person to take care of Takeru when the latter starts wallowing in his angst (remember Takeru has such bad coping mechanism beneath his smiling facade).

I think the reason it never happened within the series is primarily that it was basically the first year the two knew each other, and Takeru's just very difficult to personally work with for someone who has a very straightforward approach like Daisuke, which is why Iori had to loosen him up a bit. I think once they get to know each other better, though, Daisuke would definitely be able to catch onto these kinds of things early.

Digimon Adventure 02 Appreciation Challenge - Day 10

Day 10: A secondary 02 bond that you want to see more content of.

Daisuke-Takeru. Especially in second half.

The first half gives such interesting premise about these two. Initially, Daisuke and Takeru is meant to be portrayed as 02 version of Taichi and Yamato. Besides about Hikari, Daisuke's initial animosity towards Takeru is rooted on his insecurities. Takeru is shown as a guy that Daisuke does not. 

The only time they get into serious fight (for real) is Episode 11 when the Chosen Children (along with Taichi+Yamato) have to fight MetalGreymon (for real) to free him from Evil Spiral Ring. Daisuke worries on the outcome of such mission lest they kill MetalGreymon in process (since the said digimon is Taichi's digimon partner, after all). Takeru, on the contrary, states that it is the only choice (he also strongly disagrees about the outcome, yet he swallows his hesitation unlike Daisuke), which Daisuke does not take it well. Their volleying arguments soon escalate to the fistfight (it is happened two times), which Taichi and Yamato consider as the sign of the growing friendship (bad aesop for long-term friendship, actually).

I just hope that the show properly addressed the aftermath of the fight of Daisuke and Takeru at Episode 11. After mission accomplished, Takeru is the first one to apologize to Daisuke for doubting his judgment. Daisuke, of course, dismisses Takeru's attempt as something that a "holier-than-thou veteran" will do, before then declaring that now they are even in such shared feelings. During the walking home from school, Daisuke asked the reason Takeru lashing out on him because of his hesitation, and Takeru tells him his past experiences from Adventure. And the rest is history.

AFAIK, there is a story where Daisuke asks Takeru the reason of his "We have no choice." word in DaiTake (Daisuke/Takeru) doujinshi. 

Alas, it falls flat when Ken permanently joins 02 team at second half, making Daisuke focus his attention more on Ken. Nevertheless, I think Daisuke, besides Iori, is the perfect candidate to break through Takeru's inner heart (when the latter has emotional meltdown which is manifested into explosive anger in Episode 34-35). 

Well, at least, they get along fine.
