She and the Doctor became friends during their time at the Academy, but their relationship soured during the Time War. However, she never meets him in order, always meeting him in different incarnations and on different adventures - and to make things interesting, the Doctor recognised her, which was the reason he saved her life

What’s Jesters story?

Ah thank you for the question! ☺️ I could go on about him and Keera for hours (they’re my oldest OCs by far, created probably… 2011-2012 ish) so I’ll try to keep it succinct, but don’t feel compelled to read it all haha.

The TLDR is that he’s a little man with a severe complex, and confused feelings about his species. He was born a Dalek, but grew himself a Kaled body to live in instead. He’s in a long term (platonic, later romantic) relationship with Keera. Later in life he joins a group of similarly defective Daleks to try and recreate society after the Imperial/Renegade war wiped out the last “true” (to him and his Renegade buddies) Daleks.

Jester’s a defective Renegade Dalek who was rescued from the incinerator by Keera. Whatever switches in his brain that are supposed to make him act like a Dalek are flipped off. He has free will, creativity, emotions, connections, desires, and is constantly in a (losing) battle not to be driven insane by these things. He’s exceptionally intelligent and skilled in a wide range of sciences, but his foremost interest is genetics.

Jester very early on developed a disdain for himself and his casing- he felt he was inhibited from living life as he wanted. Keera spent all of her time exploring alien worlds and getting into trouble and Jester found it very difficult to keep up. That is, if he could even step foot off of her voidship without getting recognized and shot at for being the most notorious lifeform in the universe. His life’s work became recreating the Kaled genome and building himself a new body, as he sees that as the route to his freedom, and the only way Keera might reciprocate the feelings he developed for her (untrue, but it was what Jes latched onto at the time- in truth she had always liked him, and he her, but both were under the impression the other couldn’t possibly be interested.)

They were together for 32 years straight from the time they met, but became separated for a 15 year period before reuniting again. In the interim Jester completed his Kaled body (quite a shock for Keera when they did reunite, she had no idea he was even working on it, thought he was dead all those years, and didn’t recognize him,) and also met The Commander, a Renegade special ops leader who had come from the same facility that produced Jester- and possessed some of the same mental anomalies he did, just not enough to be immediately flagged for destruction the way Jester was.

At the time he didn’t join The Commander, instead returning to his search for Keera, but later on after finding her and finally becoming a couple, Jester would regroup with him and become the Chief Scientist for The Commander’s new Dalek society. The Commander views individuality as an asset to the Daleks (viewing his own impressive career and the Movellan stalemate as examples,) and is happy to let Jester do whatever he wants so long as he keeps producing out-of-the-box creative ideas and pushing the boundaries of technology in his role as a scientist. Jester’s just happy to belong and have somewhere to build his family, and The Commander’s isolationist and generally lenient policies means he doesn’t have to think too hard about the ramifications of the new weapons and technologies he creates.

In addition to his official duties, Jester continued work on his unraveling of the Kaled genome, eventually producing a much improved Mk. 2 over the Mk. 1 he grew for himself. Though there aren’t many takers, Kaled bodies do exist on loan from the scientific department for any Daleks to use on base…

Jester has 6 biological children (5 in one litter and a singleton later) and an apprentice to hand off the reigns to on genetic research at the base.

Since 2014 me and my best friend have been running a privet RP for Doctor who and to this day its still going. Recently we decided on adding Caan, Just and Thay in hybrid form into the story so I made a reference image for not just them but also for Sec, The time controller and my OC Lidia.

What’s the worst role playing experience you’ve had?

Uh, oooh boy. There’s a couple here: one on Teine and then one on my Chris Halliwell blog (but I’m solely going to talk about the one with Teine, since this is his blog).

Worst roleplaying experience I’ve had with Teine:

There was a mun with a Time Lady OC from her fanfiction series where her character ended up as the Doctor’s love interest instead of Rose Tyler. This OC, Charlene, had started out the story Chameleon Arch-fobwatched as a human—turned human, essentially, with her Time Lord self/essence/consciousness stored in a Gallifreyan fobwatch. More to the point, this Time Lady’s human self was Rose’s sister. Then the Ninth Doctor shows up, falls in love with Charlene instead of Rose, regenerates into the Tenth Doctor, and their relationship continues.

Cut to the mun roleplaying her OC with my dark AU Ten. Teine explicitly states that he is not her Doctor, she is not in her universe, and as much as he hates the idea of Charlene staying with him because he doesn’t want a companion at this time, it looks like she’s going to have to stay with him until the walls between universes open up again and she can return to her home universe.

Teine being the manipulative eldritch abomination that he is, he figures out based on her reactions around him that Charlene was in a romantic relationship with his alternate self (I don’t remember if it was ever sexual or not). So he figures he can use that to play hard and fast with her emotions in order to make her want to leave faster, except…

Nearly every single thread I had with this mun tried to turn into smut, which I wasn’t comfortable with because this was forcing a relationship on me and my muse. Second, there was one thread where Charlene rapes Teine (He’d been drugged and chained up against his will, and she’d proceeded to have sex with him while he was in this state after he’d woken up from the drugs.) and then in a later thread doesn’t understand why he lashes out at her when she tries to touch him and he threatens to kill her if she touches him again—which is perfectly in character for this AU Ten. (Because I like having continuity between threads if I have multiple ones going on with the same writing partner.)

We basically went, “Okay, let’s start over” after I went OOC and said why this was making me uncomfortable, but eventually I just broke off that writing partnership entirely.

There was also an incredibly toxic former roleplaying partner that I and some of my mutuals had, but I’d really rather not get into that since I’ve blocked all her known urls and really don’t want to talk about it.

Your view on Mary/Gary sues?

For the most part, yeah, they’re totally wish-fulfillment—hell, we get the term Mary Sue from a Star Trek fanfic that was parodying this type of fan character—and there’s nothing wrong with that. And come on, most pre-teens and teenagers trying to create their own original characters to interact with their favorite fictional universes are going to come up with this because they’re just starting out.

I just don’t like to interact with original characters who are meant to be part of a certain fandom, but their very existence contradicts and breaks everything in the rules of the universe they’re supposed to belong to.

I see someone’s Doctor Who OC that’s part Dalek or a Time Lord (read: Gallifreyan)/human biological hybrid or part every-single-species-of-known-alien-in-the-Whoniverse…. then, yeah, I am going to call bullshit and just not interact with that muse at all. 

Have you ever received anon hate?

Nothing explicitly graphic, but in the sense of salty River Song stans upset about me pointing out that according to decades older canon she is not a Time Lady or even part Time Lord… yeah, I’ve gotten that. And anons who see I roleplay a dark Ten and somehow see that as a go-ahead to completely drag and trash Teine’s canon counterpart.

And another - Tho i think i’m going to put Three in one. They are A’s blogs that i haven’t actually rp’ed with (YET). there is @illusivexemissary​ Gabriel. I love Gabe, like with my whole heart! And to see him so in character and his personality - like wow! @vaguelyxdownwards and @icyxmischief are the other two and Like always A’s Writing is on point, and in character an makes me so happy to see her writing on my Dash!

Okay - Next, we have Mia!! @miasmuseemporium. Mia has many brilliant muses, many that i want to RP with - Tony and Phil for instance! There is also her brilliant Donna!! She is just as in character as all her other muses!!

Another Muse is my dear friend Hana @constantly-drawing-daleks - She is bright and bubbly and has a slight obsession with Daleks, which is fun XD And Another one of their’s is @hannahhybrid another OC, that is brilliant and very much worth giving a chance. A dalek-hybrid Princess of Scaro.

Next are @mostincrediblechange and @intergalacticstarlight - Two brilliant Multi-Doctor blogs who i have on my wish list to rp one day and are a joy to have on my dash

And Last, but NEVER least, is @missyqueenofevil - Another Missy that i love and my doctor adore’s - they rp her brilliantly and in character! Also have a look at her Doc. Olivia Octavius - and even tho i haven’t seen the movie, she is really good and written brilliantly!! @dokolivialivoctavius

Seriously, give these mun’s and muses a chance and you will NOT regret it.Just remember, read the rule, Always be Kind and don’t be a dick.Its really unneeded.
