WHAT IS DANI LOVE FEST

just a few days ago I was once again desperately looking for Dani content on here but it was woefully difficult....and since (hopefully) a Dani wildcard in Jerez at the end of april is very likely, I thought it would be fun to organise a little event to dig up as much Dani content as possible so that everybody looking for Dani content in the future can find loads of it here :) and maybe it'll even inspire some new fans!

Hehehehe, now I get to talk about the thing that inspired my blog name

Okay, so most of us are aware of Dani getting arrested for cheating on his boating test, but the whole story is honestly more hilarious.

He was arrested as part of a sting operation, along with 21 other people, in connection with a network of people who helped people cheat on their boating test. As far as I can tell there was not one method of doing this, but it included things such as false identify and wearing an ear piece during the exam, which is what Dani was doing. He paid between €2,000-2,500 for the ear piece.

From the articles I found he got arrested pretty much immediately since the police knew about this whole thing and it was the written portion of the exam but it’s still fucking hilarious. Like, of all the things to cheat on he chose a BOAT TEST.

In the winter break in between the Spanish Championship and the World Championship, when Dani was 14 years old, he had a crash with his cross bike and broke his arm. Due to his tender age, doctors didn't want to operate him to not put metal plates to hold the bones. Unfortunately, that bone healed with a rotation to the inside.

Dani has dealt with it his whole life, although the movement of his left shoulder/arm has been restricted

That added to his physical limitations due to his small physique and lack of weight when he had to do change of directions.
