I love that bounty hunters and mercenaries are kinda synonymous in media but I like that the specifics are tweaked usually.

Like, mercenaries in fiction are pretty straight forward, someone pays them to fight some guys, guard some shit, fight one specific guy, stand around menacingly, and that's kinda it.

Bounty Hunters though? Those guys are kinda just doing their own thing. They just get to pick a bounty and fuck off. Lotta media I see they don't even inform the guy they're working for that they're working for them, they just kinda show up with a head in a bag or a hogtied living guy and are like "Ok pay me now"
