To me, a masquerade is about hiding one’s self behind a disguise so that you can attempt to live as someone else, even for a short time. Some will hide behind a mask as a means of hiding from trouble or avoiding unwanted conflict. To that I say, it’s time to take off the mask. There is no need to be afraid, there is no need to hide who you are or what troubles you. Hiding from conflict may make things worse down the road, so do your best to resolve the conflicts that cause you to hide. Do not let them force you into hiding, face them head on and allow yourself to be free of your troubles. Let go of the mask. It’s holding you back.
