DAWKINS

Naturally, Draven’s familiar would be a wiener dog. Dawkins is instrumental in most of the magic that Draven uses, even if it’s mostly healing or protection magic. He is also a lazy, jealous little thing that grumbles and throws fits when Draven’s attention is elsewhere. However, he absolutely adores Kal, Arlo, Tino, and Vernon.

DEMAS AND CERBERUS ‘CERBS’

Demas is the older of the three dachshunds that shadow Draven’s every movement. He is very active for an old man, but he loves to be carried around like a baby. Cerbs is the puppy in Draven’s little wiener pack, and is much like Draven. He is very outgoing and loves people until he’s scared, then he’s the first one to bolt.

Draven is the middle-youngest son of Alt!Verse Pete and Alex. He is the younger brother to Vernon and Leslie, and the older brother to Arlo.

Draven has always been a very needy person, enjoying touching and being touched as his main way of being comforted. The one person that he doesn’t ever want to be touched by is Leslie, because of old trauma. 

Due to the intense rejection that was a six-year-old Leslie punching a three-year-old Draven in the chest that left him with posterior rib fractures, a broken collarbone and sternum, and breathing problems for the rest of his life, Draven has Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria. The only people he knows that can’t (or won’t) trigger it is Kal and Vernon. Kal doesn’t trigger it at any point and almost never has. Vernon won’t.

Draven has actively slept with almost everyone that he’s ever asked. Due to his natural charm he’s gotten from his father, even people who give him an initial ‘no’ end up rethinking it. However, he won’t push things if someone does give him a ‘no.’

Draven cares more about what Arlo thinks about him than he does about getting into bed with him. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t desire and/or go for it when he can.

Vernon and Dray’s relationship turned into brothers with benefits at some point, and eventually the both of them began to have feelings. However, as of late, he’s been steering clear due to Leslie’s wrath.

The only people he will not sleep with that didn’t give him a ‘no’ are Leslie and Key, because they both terrify him. Key is Les’ best friend, which is scary enough, but she’s also very rough in general. Dray needs at least something of a gentle hand.

Draven is in a relationship with Kal, Key’s twin. They’re both all about ‘Free Love’, and grew their relationship from best friends to lovers over time. Dray isn’t aware that Kal wants to marry him.

He has a psychic ability from his mother, just like his brothers. His is Ergokinesis, which gives him power over energy, most of which he channels through electricity. However, he doesn’t know how to use it very well, and was just learning from his mother when they were brought through to another dimension.

Draven has never been able to control the lights flickering, becoming brighter, or dimming when he’s terrified. That continues to remain true.

He just learned to drain energy from one source and put it into another.

If he really puts his mind to it, he can shock others, but he usually chooses not to.

Among other things, Draven is a pacifist, a lacto-ovo vegetarian, and fairly anti-establishment. He feels like love can fix all the problems violence never could, and has proven it time and again by befriending, sleeping with, and even having emotional relationships with vampires from his dimension/timeline.

However, he has started eating meat for the grease, because he’s been very stressed out.

As much as he has very intense asthma, Draven still likes to smoke weed. However, he will only really do it with Kal involved, just in case he ends up having a problem due to the smoke.

BIOGRAPHY (trigger warnings: death, ptsd)

Landon Reid had always been kind, quiet, and level-headed, even as a child. After his parents. Lawrence and Alanah, realized that adoption was going to be the best option for them to expand their family they spent months prepping the toddler for becoming a big brother- a role he took very seriously, even from a young age. The moment the Reid’s brought Sanem home, Landon was always by her side- even as she napped. She was his best friend, and he promised to always look out for her.

Moving from place to place was quite difficult for Landon. He made enough acquaintances to get by during the school year, but they weren’t kids he would particularly hang out with outside of school. He either spent lots of time in his academics, maintaining straight A’s, or sketching on any piece of paper he could find. A perfect mix of both his parents.

As his sister became more involved with dance and music, Landon began moving from sketching random characters and objects into sketching possible outfits for different routines. Of course, there was no way to make the sketches into a reality, but there was nothing more fun than developing new outfits and meshing his passion with his sisters.

At eighteen and living in Argentina, Landon was ready to graduate high school. He was in the top ten percent of his class and was waiting on his college acceptance letters. With the encouragement of both his parents, he was prepared to double major in graphic design and advertising. His parents had made a successful living traveling around, and he was ready to continue that in his own way. Until his mother died in a freak accident.

Landon sunk into a deep depression, watching his grades slip from A’s to D’s. There was no joy left in sketching; the art reminded him too much of his mother. The big envelopes began flooding their mailbox and the phrase “Congratulations! You’ve been accepted!” began to feel like a poorly-timed joke. Lawrence continued to push for his son to continue his education, hoping that the University scenery would help his son in the grieving process, but it was of no use. Landon respectfully sent back the letters, declining, and packed up his things to return to the families original home of Crescent Harbor.

Day in and day out, Landon would watch his father leave for work. He would walk around town, getting used to the idea of staying in one place. The desire to travel for work had been squashed but having a stable job and a permanent home became more and more appealing to him. One afternoon, Landon made his way to Crescent Harbor College to find out how he could apply and create his new future.

While his sister began diving back into dance, Landon went the safer route- academics. He majored in computer science, acing all of his classes with ease. The math and science made sense to him, but most of all there was no risk. There was always going to be an answer, and no accidental misstep would put his life at risk. Plus, the salary was a huge bonus. The four years he experienced at the local University were some of the most stable he’d ever had. He slowly began to open up to the familiar faces around campus, joining study groups and after class hangouts at the local breweries.

After graduating, Landon managed to snag a cozy job as a software developer. Within six months of working, he was able to move into a decently-sized apartment downtown. The 9-to-5 life was ideal, and the nights he worked overtime were even better. The more time he focused on work, the less time he had to sink into a depression. The less time he had to think about picking up a pencil and designing again. That is, until Sanem’s dance career began to take off.

Remembering the vow he took as a young boy, to be the best older brother he could be, slowly he began designing outfits for her. Landon refused to travel with her, but would work on her outfits with her through video calls and ship the final product to wherever she was, making sure to watch her performances when they aired- the most support he could offer her. When word got out that Landon was her designer, the offers came pouring in from tons of celebrities and agencies. There was no way he was willing to commit fully to art- the thing that led to his mother’s ultimate demise.

Locally, however, Landon gave in. After nights of waking up in a sweat, sketching out what he saw in his nightmares, Landon decided to help Crescent Harbor’s local business. Purchasing the supplies necessary to screen-print, he began to screen-print merchandise for the local breweries. It was enough to quiet the nagging voices in his head, and for now, that’s all he needs.

ﾟ･:†┏┛ Backstory ┗┓†:･ﾟ

Jakob was born in Starling City to a single mother who got pregnant from a one-night stand. His father was an influential business man and, despite how hard she tried, his mother couldn’t convince the man to stick around. He abandoned the woman a few months before Jakob was born. She tried to raise him for a while, but she hadn’t set out to be a mother and she abandoned him on the steps of the police station a few weeks after his fifth birthday. He was sent off to CPS and he stayed in his first foster home for several months before they sent him back. Apparently he was more trouble than he was worth. CPS sent him out to another foster home that, yet again, had him packing his bags within a few short months. This pattern went on for years, until one night something changed. Something in him snapped and he ran away, just like that. He taught himself the skills he needed to survive. He became a skilled pickpocket and an even better thief. He even dabbled in some street magic, if just to pass the time. 

He wandered the streets for a while before he eventually found himself in Central City. It was a fine enough place and the abandoned warehouse on the edge of town he had found certainly helped. If only he knew all the pain that the warehouse would bring. He was there on the night of December 11th, 2013 when the particle accelerator was turned on, but he was more focused on the fire that had broken out in the warehouse while he was sleeping. Jakob never found out how it started but the warehouse was engulfed while he slept. When he woke up, he was already trapped. He suffered terrible burns on the left side of his body, from his neck to his ankle. The particle accelerator explosion also altered him and he woke up days later with powers. The burns had somehow healed, but they had become scars and he lost feeling from the nerve damage.

Jakob couldn’t stay in Central City after that, not with all the bad memories, so he returned to Starling City in January of 2014. There, he met and fell in love with Alexandra Thorne. They had many things in common, so they became fast friends. In May, him and Alexandra were caught in the Siege and they were in a prime position to watch as Team Arrow fought off the soldiers. Jakob thought nothing of it, they were just doing their job as vigilantes, he supposed. Alexandra, on the other hand, was inspired. She tried to get Jakob to learn to use his powers and do something like she was, but he refused. He was supportive nonetheless, even when she was being reckless. When she joined up, albeit unofficially, with the Arrow, he was just happy to see her getting some useful training. Their friendship remains, strong as ever, even as he continues to hide his true feelings from her.

Oh, lovelies ! It’s that time of the year again, huh ? Time seems to have slipped by so fast this time around, like an hourglass glued to the table or even just mere grains of sand falling through my fingers. It’s exam time here in Belgium and I’m fully prepared and packed with fluo markers, three extra pens and my own weight worth in books. All there’s left to do for me now to face this fight is study, study, study.
