This gold chain likely originated with the 1984 production Willem van Oranje, where it was worn by Jeroen Krabbé as Willem van Oranje. In 1998 it went on to be worn by Dougray Scott as Prince Henry in the film Ever After. In 2007 it was worn by Chris Larkin as Lynley in the episode of Doctor Who entitled The Shakespeare Code. In 2012 it was worn by Tom Hiddleston as Henry V in the first season of The Hollow Crown. In 2013 it was worn three times in The White Queen, which was almost certainly an intentional choice. It was worn by Max Irons as King Edward IV, by David Shelley as King Henry VI and by Aneurin Barnard as Richard III.
