Detoxing my soul of the past as i press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling.  I may not be able to change the way people treat me or what happens in my life, but I most definitely can change the way I respond. When the new arrives, it can be considered the beginning or the end of the road. The new comes with changes, and takes the place of the old. It is what we do not have, but when it arrives, everything is transformed. If you cannot handle it, you will lose it. The timing and length of our detours in life is often dependent upon our personal choices and growth. What should have been a short detour that was planned for us often becomes longer because we make it through our hard-headedness, stubbornness, resentment or fear and doubt. So many people stop pursuing the pathway to their destiny when they don't see things lining up as quickly as they thought they should. But those delays and detours in our lives are being used to develop us for where He is taking us. Arriving at your destiny requires patience in the process. #trusttheprocesswatchtheprogress

Every step we take is the step to the next step. We can’t skip steps, we have to beat this level before moving on to the next one. (Gamer girl at heart) but life is like that. For all my gamers our there. What level are you on? What level do you want to be on? Is there a lesson in this level that you are not learning, therefore having to repeat it? I know that I’ve been stuck on this one level for like a year now. Wandering around, not opening my eyes for the clues of how get past it. My eyes are wide open now for sure! My current boss battle (gaming terms) is getting out of my super warm and cozy bed this early. Especially since its a perfect rain for sleeping weather outside. Do you know what gets me up? Other than Ed Sheeran singing to me so sweetly at 5:45 am? The now or never mentality. After this summers near death experience I learned the fact that we never get this moment again. I also Tell myself that I can always just take a nap later if im tired. Lol those who know me, know i dont nap! So, get up, do the do, take a nap later if you need! Same Old, same old.

Today is the first working day of the year and I feel like the backlog from 2020 ain’t even done yet and new ones are already coming. All I can think about today is that no matter what I do, I have nothing to look forward to for this year just because you are no longer working at the same office. Days will just passed by normally (or mostly boring) and here I am just trying to get through work so I can have some sleep afterwards and extra rest over the weekends. How long must I endure this nostalgic feeling until I get over the fact that I will never see you again? 🤨

Foto di atas sebagai pengingat bahwa hari ini, mama menunjukkan betapa sayangnya beliau kepada putri tunggal-nya yang keras kepala ini.

Tenang, aku tidak ikutan demo seperti mahasiswa-mahasiswa di foto itu. Nyali ku tidak sebesar itu. 

Aku salut pada mereka para mahasiswa yang berani menyuarakan pendapat dan melakukan aksi nyata akan kekhawatiran mereka terhadap keadilan di tanah air tercinta ini. Mengingat keberanian ku yang sekecil biji jagung, maka aku bantu kalian doa dari sini saja ya.

Dari dalam ruang kelas gelap gulita berisi seorang dosen dan 15 mahasiswa. 

Ya, kami terjebak di dalam gedung perkuliahan di sebuah universitas yang terletak di daerah semanggi. Hari ini kami ada kuliah malam, demi menuntut ilmu dan lulus uts minggu depan. Belajar pajak sambil deg-deg-an mendengar suara tembakan gas air mata dan lemparan petasan disekeliling kami. Lama-lama kami pun menggunakan masker karena efek gas air mata sampai ke dalam kelas. Perkuliahan tetap berlanjut, toh pulang juga tidak bisa dengan ramainya masa di bawah. 

Tiba-tiba datang seorang bapak yang menyuruh kami mematikan lampu ruang kelas karena polisi akan melakukan sweeping. Loh, loh, ada apa ini kok suasana jadi mencekam. Ternyata terjadi kericuhan antara masa dan polisi. Banyak yang memaksa berlindung masuk kampus hingga mau merusak gerbang dan melemparkan petasan juga gas air mata ke dalam pekarangan kampus.

Kami pun di dalam kelas yang gelap selama berjam-jam hanya bisa pasrah menunggu dan berdoa demi keselamatan bersama. Mungkin mama membaca berita di media, lalu  menghubungi putrinya yang pasrah ini dengan suara panik. Setelah beberapa jam, tiba-tiba beliau mengabarkan sudah berada di area kampus untuk menjemput. Bagaimana caranya? Padahal jelas tidak ada yang boleh masuk dan keluar dari area kampus saat itu karena masa belum reda. Aku pun tidak tahu, mungkin itu yang namanya kekuatan orang tua demi keselamatan anaknya.

Entah bagaimana, tidak lama berselang kami semua - mahasiswa dan dosen - yang sudah lelah memaksa pulang. Dengan pertimbangan, kalau makin malam makin rusuh, terjebak di dalam seperti ini bisa lebih membahayakan. Koordinasi sana-sini dilakukan hingga tengah malam, sampai akhirnya kami pun bisa pulang dengan menerjang sisa-sisa kabut gas air mata dari lantai 7 hingga keluar area kampus melewati lautan mahasiswa pejuang yang tampak lebih lelah dari kami.

Sungguh, pengalaman yang membuat bersyukur karena bisa selamat. Bersyukur bisa bertemu dengan mama dan terima diomeli karena menyesal sudah membuat beliau panik. 

Pengalaman yang akan selalu membuatku berpikir kembali tentang hal terpenting - keluargaku - dan pentingnya mengambil tidakan antisipatif demi keselamatan walau harus melawan arus.
