My Turn To Fix You (Connor x Reader)
This is my first fanfic that I have ever written so pls be nice! I know it’s long but tbh I wrote this mostly for myself lol. It basically follows the story of a CyberLife engineer (the reader) and our boy Connor! I plan to write multiple chapters for this if anyone actually becomes interested lol!
Chapter 1
Work at the station had been more intense than usual these past three weeks. Protesters had been extra violent in Detroit, protesting against the manufacturing of androids. They usually took their anger out on the police androids in the streets. You guess it made them feel more powerful to rough up an android that was supposed to act as a type of authority. You thought it was kind of pathetic and pointless to cause so much damage to android simply doing its job. It also gave you a shit ton more work than usual since you were the CyberLife engineer working at the Detroit PD to repair any police android that might need it. Police androids are only used for basic police work, such as giving tickets, stoping pick pocketers on the street, and staying alert of anything that might be suspicious or threatening. They don't even carry a gun or weapons, serving more as an extra eye for cops on duty. Connor, the RK800 that works with Hank, is the only android that acts as a fully working detective, able to have a weapon and upgraded with CyberLife's most advance technology.
You had to admit, he was incredibly impressive. When you had received the blueprints and manuals on his wiring before he first arrived at the station, you found yourself actually a bit overwhelmed. He barely used any parts that were similar to the ones that most androids used, and his wiring was so intricate. He was the most advanced model of android you had ever seen. It took you a few days to get comfortably familiar with his systems so you would be prepared to fix him up if ever he needed it once he arrived. You figured you would be seeing him a lot since he was the only android in the front line of dangerous work.
Tonight is the first Friday in a long time you can remember being able to actually leave work on time. It was honestly a miracle. It seemed there was always paper work that needed filling out or an android that needed tending to. It was nice to be home on your couch, under a warm blanket, with food that wasn't takeout for a change, and all by 11:30. You were swiping through an article on the debate of weather android police dogs should also be used in police departments. It seems unlikely. At least until it is confirmed by CyberLife that they are reliable; that they can't disobey their orders or even go deviant. (If that's even possible for android animals.) You were thankful either way because android animals would require you to become familiar with a whole new type of engineering. Learning the ins and outs of Connor was enough.
It was pouring rain as you were reading. The occasional crash of thunder and lightning was almost comforting to you. You began to dose off to the sounds of the familiar Detroit weather outside. You were suddenly jerked awake by a loud crash of thunder. Or at least that's what you thought woke you up. Standing in the frame of your front door was the RK800 android from the station. He had forced open the door, breaking the lock, and was completely soaked from the rain. He was hunched over, clutching his torso. His LED was flashing bright red.
"Connor?! What the hell are you doing here?!"
"Sorry for the unannounced visit y/n. I hope it's not an inconvenience."
You were suddenly aware of the massive flow of blue blood seeping from his midsection. He could barely stand. You rushed over to help him stay upright.
"Oh my god Connor what happened?!
"Do you think maybe we could talk about the details once i'm not losing an unsafe amount of thirium?"
"Right, right, right." You were trying to take deep breaths and not panic. He really looked like shit. "I have a room in the back with a workbench and a whole bunch of extra android parts and emergency thirium. Let's get you back there fast."
You put his right arm around your neck to help him stand and used your other hand to apply pressure to the general area where he was bleeding. Based on the amount of blue his shirt was drenched in, you could tell he was wounded in multiple places. You quickly helped him as he limped to the back room.
You shoved aside half finished diagnostic reports and old projects off the work bench and helped Connor onto it. His entire shirt was now covered in blue blood.
"Connor, you're going to need to take off your shirt for this one. I can't even tell where the hell you're bleeding from!" He began to undress as you frantically searched for your crate with supplies to perform a blue blood transfusion. You were not used to having to repair androids at your own house. This was the first time anything like this had happened. You were wondering how the hell Connor even knew where you lived.
Finally, you found the crate with the supplies you were looking for. Quickly, you turned around, looking directly at a shirtless Connor on your work bench. You weren't sure why, but you felt yourself freeze for a moment, taken aback by the android sitting in front of you. You couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was about him that was so intriguing in that moment. Maybe it was the fact that he was in such incredible shape. You weren't sure why you weren't expecting him to be so ripped. "I mean of course he is." you thought. "Why wouldn't CyberLife give their newest super weapon abs y/n??" You chuckled to yourself a little under your breath at your own thoughts.
"Is everything alright y/n?" He seemed more concerned about you than the flow of thirium leaving his body.
"Ya sorry, I just... I don't know. Let's get you fixed." You shook away your thoughts and began to focus on the task at hand.
You immediately began work on him, having to use his shirt to wipe the blood from his abdomen so you could get a sense of where all the blue blood was coming from. You discovered 4 bullet holes. "Holy shit Connor what were you doing?"
"Well, my mission didn't go exactly how I expected" he managed to huff out. You could tell the loss of thirium was starting to catch up to him. God only knows how long it took him to find your house after he was shoot.
Once you cleaned up enough of the thirium to see what you were doing, you began to work on assessing the damage and removing the bullets. You also decided to try to get some answers.
"You must have really pissed someone off for them to have shot you 4 times."
"Well I imagine getting caught while dealing 20 pounds of red ice would be rather aggravating."
"20 pounds?! How do you even come across 20 pounds if red ice?"
"That's why I was put on this case. They want me to find out where exactly these dealers are finding so much red ice."
"Alright Connor, i'm removing the first bullet now. Be ready to apply pressure."
His LED flashed a quick red as you removed the first bullet. He barely flinched, letting out nothing but a silent grunt. You proceeded to the next bullet.
"You're lucky you got here so quickly. Any longer and there would have been nothing I could do. How did you even find my apartment?"
"I knew I wouldn't be able to find you in the precinct because I overheard you talking to detective Reed that you were planing on getting home early tonight. I knew my mission tonight was dangerous so I saved your address in my database in case of emergency."
You let out a small laugh and smiled up at him. "You're lucky you were listening in."
"My programming requires me to be listening to any conversations happening around me within a 20 foot radius."
You thought about what he just said as you finally reached the second bullet. You and Reed were on the other side of the precinct, opposite of where Connor's desk is, when you told him your plans of leaving early. Connor was at his desk, definitely farther than 20 feet away, when you were talking to Gavin. Was Connor....trying to listen to your conversation? Why? You shook the thought from your mind.
"Okay, next bullet out in 3..2...." You removed the second bullet right under his rib. This time he had to brace himself slightly by grabbing the edge of the bench. You put your hand on his shoulder.
"You good?"
"Yeah" he huffed as he placed his hand over yours on his shoulder. "Move onto the next bullet, i'll be fine."
You were amazed by how calm he was, considering you were on the edge of having a full fledged panic attack. Quickly, you moved to the spot of the third and fourth bullet. They were relatively close to each other.
"Thank god they didn't hit your thirium pump. It's hard to find those parts for a standard android, let alone an RK800. I don't think I even have one that would fit your model here in my office."
"You're smart y/n. You would have figured something out."
You tried to convince yourself you believed that statement. Connor seemed to have a lot of confidence in you. Probably too much you thought.
"Last two Connor. I'm gonna take both out at the same time since they're right next to each other. Get ready." You pulled the bullets from his waist with one last tug. He let out a sharp whine, clenching his eyes shut and grabbing your wrist as you removed the last bullets. His grip on your wrist was surprisingly gentle and warm. You forgot that the flow of thirium through his body allowed for him to give off at least some body heat. CyberLife really knew how to make these androids seem so human.
He slowly let go of your wrist, as his LED circled from a wild red back to yellow and then to blue. You let out a sigh of relief. Finally the hard part was over. All that was left to do now was transfuse some blue blood back into his body, and check to make sure none of his parts or wiring was damaged from the shots. He's able to heal over the wound himself with prosthetic skin.
"My diagnostics program is telling me that there doesn't seem to be any major problems. Only minor motor function issues that can be fixed with a system reset."
"You're lucky Connor. You could have been done for shit." You finished setting up your equipment for the transfusion. Thank god you were done. It was now that you realized that you were sweating. You were used to being under intense pressure, that was part of your job most of the time. But never had it made you this stressed. Connor could have been gone....and it would have been your fault.
You sat yourself down on the center on the floor, laying your legs straight out in front of you and placing your hands behind you for support. For what felt like the first time in the past 20 minutes, you were finally able to catch your breath. You shut your eyes and began to take deep breaths. It was finally over.
"y/n, I noticed that the situation has caused your heart rate to increase rapidly. I'm sorry for any distress I might have caused you. It wasn't my intention." Connor was not knelt down beside you on the floor. His LED was circling yellow from scanning you.
“Of course you didn't, it's not your fault Connor. If anything i'm thankful you got here before it was too late."
He now sat down across from you, sitting perfectly in a criss-cross position. You both sat in silence for the next few seconds, taking the opportunity to rest after everything that just happened.
"Thank you y/n."
You lifted your head to look across at him. It felt like he was staring right into you. You knew he was an android, but the sincerity in his eyes seemed so real. You couldn't help but feel like he meant it. You gave him a warm smile. "No problem Connor." You started to get up from the floor. "And besides" you smirked, "it's kinda my job to save your ass."Connor looked up at you from the floor, the little light on the side of his head circling with blue. "So" you sighed. "What now?"
Connor swiftly stood up from the floor.
"I learned some critical information for Hank and I's investigation tonight, however I doubt he would appreciate a visit from me so late."
You started to clean up the supplies, parts, and thirium from your workbench as you talked to him. "The precinct is always open, you could go there and file everything in the database until tomorrow morning.
"I need to conduct my system reset before I do anything. If too many of my basic functions are down, my programming won't allow me to do much."
"How long does this reset take?"
"Four hours." Connor seemed annoyed with his answer
.
"You could just do your reset here. If for some reason anything goes wrong or I somehow missed something when fixing you up, you're right here."
He seemed to be considering what you were offering, his LED flashing yellow. "That would seem to be my best option. I hope you don't mind" The sincerity was back in his eyes.
"It's not a problem at all. Plus I'd rather be able to keep an eye on you for the night."
Connor made his way toward you at the workbench, reaching for his jacket. It was then that you realized Connor was still shirtless. You weren't sure why, but you felt slightly embarrassed as he come closer to you. He seemed to notice something was off. He turned to look at you, his face only inches away from yours.
"Is everything ok y/n?" he asked with genuine curiosity in his voice.
You turned your head back to look straight in front of you instead of looking at Connor.
"Ya sorry I...I was just thinking that maybe we should get you some clothes until I get yours washed." You glanced at him with a nervous smile, trying not to look at his bare chest. Even though he was an android, you still felt you needed to be respectful for some reason. Connor turned to look at his once crisp white shirt now covered in a milky blue.
"I would definitely appreciate clothes that aren't covered in my own thirium."

Deviating Love Affair - Part 2
PART 1
Soulmate AU with DBH Connor
Pair: Connor x Female! Reader
Prompt: In this universe, you are supposed to receive a tattoo of your soulmate’s name on your 18th birthday. However, you being the lucky winner, never received one on that special day. After years go by, you began to accept the fact that maybe you were never destined to have a soulmate until one day, on August 5th, 2038, you see a certain individual’s name gets written on your wrist. Not only is it odd that your soulmate tattoo wasn’t given to you on your 18th birthday but that in reality, your soulmate isn’t even human.
Word Count: 1749 words
A/N: Hi friends! I’m back with another part! Just an FYI, I skipped through “The Nest” chapter since I didn’t think it really fit with how I wanted the characters to develop so we are just going to pretend that never happened. I’ve also skipped through some other chapters from the game that I thought were too boring and I really don’t want to bore you guys. This part and the next one are going to be kind of slow but I swear it will pick up a little....hopefully...I don’t know.
Feedback is always appreciated and I know this part sucked so nitpick all you want! (I need it because writing is really not my strong suit).

Connor was facing a dilemma. He knew what his purpose was, how he was supposed to hunt deviants and search for their source of deviancy. He also knew that he was a machine, a machine who was not supposed to feel emotions or disobey his master. However, the moment he met you, everything seemed to change within him. He no longer truly knew what he was or how he was supposed to act. For the first time ever, he did not know what to do.
Connor opened his eyes and was met with the sight of the peaceful Zen Garden. The words, “Talk to Amanda” appeared at the corner of his eye. Connor looked around the area before landing on Amanda’s figure standing on the center island by a wall of roses. He slowly made the walk to her while trying to formulate proper sentences which would not upset her nor make him lose her trust.
Once Connor had reached a comfortable speaking distance from her, he introduced himself, “Hello Amanda.”
Amanda looked over her shoulder before replying, “Connor, it’s good to see you.”
Amanda smiled at him before snipping off a flower in front of her. She proceeded to congratulate Connor on successfully locating the deviant as well as properly extracting a confession. She also praised Connor for his achievements while also asking a series of questions of what he has discovered along the way.
Amanda paused for a moment as she sprayed her flowers with water. Connor had hoped that their conversation would be over so he wouldn’t have to face any more of her questioning, especially ones involving you.
“Both Lieutenant Anderson and Officer (Y/L/N) have been assigned to the deviancy cases. What do you make of them?”
Connor paused for a moment, carefully thinking of what to say. “Lieutenant Anderson seems a bit dysfunctional. He clearly has some personal issues which impact his professional behavior. He also seems to want to have nothing to do with this investigation or Androids overall.”
“Unfortunately, we have no other choice but to work with him,” she replied, “What about the other?”
Connor paused once more, but this time, he was taking more time to properly say what he wanted to say without upsetting Amanda. But what could he say? He couldn’t tell her that he hasn’t stopped thinking about you since last night or that the image of your smile was engraved in his mind. After careful thought, Connor spoke again, “She seems to be very invested in her work, unlike her coworker. However, she also seems to be troubled by something, more troubled the moment I introduced myself to her. Overall, she’s a very intriguing character and I wish to learn more about her.”
Amanda stopped what she was doing and slowly turned around to face Connor. “More and more androids are showing signs of deviancy. If they are not stopped, destruction and chaos will occur. You are the only one who can stop this outcome. There are no room for...distractions,” she ended, clearly referencing Connor’s description of you.
Connor nodded as he watched Amanda walk away.

You anxiously tapped your fingers on your thigh as you sat on your couch. You kept glancing over at your phone which sat face down on the coffee table, taunting you with its presence. You were eager to call Hank and talk to him about the events of last night and what it had felt like to meet Connor; however, you were worried about how he would react which kept you from making the call.
After a few more minutes of you contemplating whether or not to bother your easily-annoyed coworker, you picked up the phone and pressed the dial button on his profile.
“Hello?” Hank asked.
“Do you think, and I’m asking out of full curiosity, it’s possible for someone’s soulmate to be an android?” you asked without warning.
“What?” Hank asked.
“Do you think it’s possible for someone’s soulmate to be an android?”
“Hell no, Androids aren’t alive; they aren’t meant to have soulmates. Wait, why are you even asking this?” he asked, clearly uncomfortable with your question.
“Think about it Hank, my tattoo says Connor, my soulmate tattoo says Connor. The next Connor I meet just happens to be an Android detective working with us, this has to mean something.”
“Oh hell no, you don’t actually think that that plastic cop is your soulmate do you?”
“Just hear me out Hank,” you replied.
“Look kiddo, I don’t have time for this,” he said as he threatened to end the call.
“Hank!” you exclaimed, stopping him from doing so, “just listen.”
You heard Hank sigh through the phone before he replied, “Continue.”
“Last night, when I met Connor, it wasn’t like I was just meeting another Android, it was like I was meeting another human being. And, I don’t know, I just can’t stop thinking about him, how he acts, how he talks. It’s like I’m a teenager all over again experiencing a first crush or something and it’s driving me insane. Last night was the first time I’ve felt like that with anyone in a very long time and I can’t just ignore it,” you said.
Hank stayed silent for a couple of seconds as he processed everything that you had just said. “Please say something,” you begged, worried of what Hank might think.
“I don’t buy it,” he said.
“What do you mean?”
“I don’t think the universe made you wait this long for a fucking Android. You deserve better than that,” he replied.
Before you could object, Hank had already ended your call, clearly thinking that you were delusional. You leaned your head back against your seat while running your fingers through your hair in frustration. Maybe you were crazy and maybe you were in over your head; however, nothing else could explain these rush of feelings from the night before.
The next time you ran into Connor was later that night when you heard someone knock on the front door to your apartment. You carefully put down your cup of tea before getting up from your seat to answer the door. You truly did not expect to see Connor standing at your door.
“Hi Connor,” you said with a bit of surprise, “What’s up?”
Connor looked at you up and down for a split second, noticing how you had on black rimmed glasses for a -1.00 prescription and you were wearing comfortable loungewear.
“Hello Officer, sorry to bother you so late. I have just received word of another deviancy case just downtown and wanted to inform you. I also thought it would be better if you were with me before I talked to Lieutenant Anderson.”
You smiled and nodded before replying, “Come in, just give me five minutes.”
You took a few steps back, opening the door wider, allowing Connor to walk in. Connor looked around your home thinking to himself that it was very cozy and comfortable for one person (maybe even two).
“I’ll be right back, but make yourself at home,” you said before retreating to your bedroom to get dressed.
Connor took this opportunity to learn more about you, in hopes to better his relationship with you. The first thing that caught his eye was the lonesome white mug on your island which was still steaming. Connor took a second to analyze the contents of the cup. He noticed that you had brewed a cup of tea, assuming it was your favorite, with exactly 15 grams of sugar.
Connor exited your kitchen and came across a photo album which sat in the middle of your coffee table. He picked up the book and noticed a photo of you and Hank with the words, “Happy Birthday” engraved on its cover.
Connor opened the book and flipped through the photos of you and your presumed close friends at the DPD and various locations in Detroit, all of which had you in mid laughter or with a huge smile on your face. Connor found your smile so charming and genuine. He lightly traced the outline of your face with his fingertips, the edges of his mouth turning slightly upwards. He was so captivated by your photo that he failed to notice you had already left your room and was standing next to him.
“What are you looking at?” you asked as you tried to tame the stray hairs on your head and pull them in a proper ponytail.
“I was-I was just looking at your photo album,” Connor said, somewhat startled by your presence.
You laughed slightly before placing your hand on his shoulder, “Sorry for scaring you.”
Connor quickly glanced at your hand, the warmth of your fingers seemed to burn through his skin.
“Do you want to see something funny?” you asked, snapping Connor out of his thoughts.
Connor nodded slightly before handing the photo album to you. You quickly flipped to a certain page of the album and pointed at a picture of you and Hank. Connor studied the picture for a bit, trying to understand the situation.
“Is that Lieutenant Anderson,” he paused, “in a crab costume?”
You laughed inwardly before replying, “Yes, yes it is. This picture was taken on Halloween and we made a bet the night before. Basically, if the Detroit Gears beat the Boston Celtics, I would have to wear a ridiculous costume of his choice; however, if the Celtics won, Hank would have to wear a crab costume. Guess who won,” you said in between laughs.
Although Connor did find Hank’s appearance to be very entertaining, he was completely drawn to your laugh. The pictures he had seen in your booklet did not truly capture the beauty of your smile. The way your eyes crinkled up, how your eyes literally lit up, and how the sound of your laugh was very pleasant to listen to, almost like a melody. Your laughter made Connor begin to smile and for the first time, he had experienced genuine happiness.
SOFTWARE INSTABILITY ^
“Anyways,” you said before your eyes met with Connor’s.
You both froze for a brief second getting lost in each other's eyes. After a few seconds, you shook your head slightly and cleared your throat, breaking the silence between the two of you. You closed the photo album in your hand and placed it back in its original position.
“Ready to go?” you asked Connor.
Connor nodded before following you out of your apartment and into the cold night air of Detroit.

Warnings: quite a bit of fluff Connor being Connor, Hank being a slight grumpy ass, strong language, angst if you squint, again crappy story because I can't write fo shit, slight smut maybe.
Pairings: Connor/reader, Hank/daughter!reader
Sorry if this isn't what you had in mind for the request.
⚠ ATTENTION THIS MAY CONTAIN SOME SPOILERS FOR THE GAME PLEASE IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS DON'T READ ⚠
You miss him. Everyone knew it.
'Miss you terribly already.'
He was a beautiful human being in your eyes, inside and out. He was everything to you, you couldn't even last a week away from him.
'Miss your teeth when they chartered, when we smoked out in the garden.'
It was about -10 degrees, you and Connor were outside of your house. Your father, Hank, expected you were doing something bad, you guys were smoking for the first time, well you were. It was a terrible feeling, the smoke burning the back of your throat, but you laughed through the pain as Connor let out a disgusted cough when you blew smoke in his face.
'When we couldn't sleep for all the heat, soft talk began to harden.'
It was almost two in the morning when you had awoke with a jolt, your body covered in a slick sticky wetness. Sweat. You looked over at your beloved and smiled as he was already looking at you while slightly fanning himself. "You okay deer?" He asked with a sweetness that almost gave you a full mouth of cavities.
"Yes, just very hot." You smiled back.
He sat up slowly watching you with adoration that never leaves his eyes no matter how many times he's seen you. "Well I know you are deer, I'm looking at you right now." He teased and a blush brushed over your face.
He had kept in mind to whisper because surly your father would never approve of your 'relationship' Connor wasn't even suppose to be in this house, let alone in your room with you.
After you had turned on a few fans, you guys spent that whole night just talking about random things that popped in your complex minds, finally being cool enough to snuggle up next to each other.
How you wish he was here to hold you again.
'Miss your teeth dug in my shoulder, as we rolled in early morning.'
You had awoken by multiple kisses on your neck, and had opened your eyes to see your boyfriend rubbing your hair as he planted more kisses all along your neck. You smiled as you ran your fingers through his soft dark hair. "What are you doing?"
He glances up at me with a shy smile, "I... I love you, (Y/N)." He whispered.
You blushed, that was the first time he's ever said something like that to you. He was your first, everything. Your first boyfriend, the first person to hold your hand romantically, right before Hank walked back into the house after Connor asked you out he gave you your first kiss. Now here you guys were, your first I love you.
You've heard of androids falling in love but had never thought you'd be the center of ones affection, it was mind boggling to you. The fact that a perfect human being could possibly love you back was crazy to you.
"I love you too." You finally said after a moment of silence, you had pulled him up to kiss your lips and he did, he kissed you with as much passion an android can give. The kiss slowly got more and more heated as he was rubbing the inside of your thigh.
He pulled away from the kiss and smiled softly as you let out a frustrated sigh. "Are you sure about this? I've learned much about sexual activity and from what I've learned its not pleasant at first." He asked stroking your cheek, and that had you thinking, 'was I ready for this?' You love him, you know you do, you want him, no, you need him.
You nodded looking up at him, "I'm ready. Are you?" He smiled again, not bothering to answer as he planted his lips against yours again. Soon enough you were rolling around the sheets crying out each other's names, declaring your love once more, in a much more passionate way. 'Another first with my love' you thought as you bit his shoulder to muffle your moans.
'Miss your arm dying beneath me, as I lay there simply yawning'
After declaring your love for each other in such a passionate way you spent the rest of the day laying there just talking about anything and everything, he had his arm around you rubbing your bare chest leaving it there even though you were sure if he wasn't an android it would be completely numb and tingly, he wanted to hold you and you wanted him to hold you forever.
'Please forget me, you were right dear.'
He was right about almost everything. He was an android, he knew all the facts, he could scan you and know how you were feeling within seconds. But he never knew why.
At first you had to admit you were bitter about Connor being an android and all considering what happened to Cole, bless his heart. As time went on Connor eventually found out why you hated him and used it to open your eyes and see that androids weren't the source of problems, it was you and people who think how you used to think.
'I am weak and therefore fold'
You were and always will be weak compared to Connor.
Little things always got to you and broke you down, and you are a little thing. A little fleshy thing, that had a spiral of emotions that you couldn't handle from time to time.
You desperately tried not to show it, but you knew you were weak.
'Dot my I's with eyebrow pencils, close my eyelids, hide my eyes I'll be ideal in my ideas think of nothing else but I'
You had quickly shut your eyes holding onto your love, who was shot, your tears warmed your cold face. You screamed for help but nobody came. You sat on the floor rocking back and forward, begging, cursing, panting, crying as you sat there with him in your arms, you were helpless. All you could do was scream for your father, scream your lungs out until your head was pounding and it felt like someone was stabbing your throat.
You sobbed looking down at the smiling android who whispered about how everything was going to be okay. You looked up in time to see your father run over to you and Connor, letting concern take over his features as he called out for him.
And then it finally hit you, Connor was dead, your first love, your soulmate.
~following week~
Your dad Hank was distant from you, whether it had to do with connors death or with how sensitive you are it had you in a world of undecided emotions.
What your father failed to tell you was that Connor was back and had been for a while. You found out in the worse way.
You had just gotten back home from being with some friends. They didn't know of your story, just that you were sad over losing someone close to you. When you had gotten home you made a beeline straight to the kitchen and into the freezer for some chocolate ice cream.
"(Y/N) is that you?" Your father briefly called out from the family room, you were now heading into.
Your eyes widened and the spoon fell from your mouth as you saw Connor, very much alive and well petting sumo.
But just as you were about to pinch yourself he looked up at the sudden sound of something dropping and met your eyes.
"Oh, hello (Y/N), it's good to see you again." You were speechless and had thought your friends must have put something into your water that night.
You didn't hesitate to run towards him giving him the biggest hug you could, not really caring if your father saw. Just holding him and making sure he was actually there and that he wouldn't just disappear into thin air.
"I missed you, my love." He whispered. And you swear to this day, that your heart exploded at that.
guess what, I found out I'm even worse at writing songfics, I'm sorry if this sucked. No I'm sorry that this did suck. But anyway have a great day/night. (´༎ຶ ͜ʖ ༎ຶ `)♡

Soulstrings -part 2
AUTHOR: THISISMYPANDORABOX RATING: T TYPE: SERIES! PAIRING: CONNOR X FEMALEREADER WORD COUNT: 710
SYNOPSIS : The reader was born with the ability to see peoples soulmate strings. Though without one of her own she could just end up alone. One Android might just change that though.
A/N: Second part woo! Its a bit shorter but I quite like this part. Also I am really bad at writing Hank so forgive me if hes OOC.
The next day I’m sat in the police station again. Having being brought in for ‘real questioning’. The officer who shot the deviant comes into the room as does Connor.
“This is lieutenant Hank Anderson. We will be questioning you today.” I nod. Hank starts with the questions.
“Miss (L/n) why were you there?” Well he doesn’t mess around does he?
“I was tracking a soulmate bond.” Hank gives an incoherent noise at that.
“So you’re a soul seer?”
“Yes. I run a business where I track down peoples soulmates if they have one.” Hank nods tilting his head.
“And you tracked one to this warehouse did you?” His voice seems hard and uncaring though I can tell there’s an underlying curiosity . He’s good at the bad cop routine. Hes clearly gotten the practice in.
“Yes. I located the other end of the soulmate string. So it happens it was attached to the android in that warehouse.” Hank suddenly sits upright from his slouched position.
“Were you aware that the android in that warehouse was a deviant?” Hank tilts his head in question.
“No. At least not at first. I wasn’t even aware he was an android until a few minutes before you arrived.”
“So you had no intent to help him?” It was Connor who spoke up this time.
“I wouldn’t say that. If the circumstance had been different yes, I would have helped him find his soulmate. Though I had no intention to hide him from the law. I didn’t know he was a criminal until he pulled a knife on me.” Hank nods.
“Okay. I have no further questions at this time. Once we have your statement you will be free to leave Miss (L/n).” Hank ups and leaves. Leaving me alone with Connor.
The room feels tense with just me and Connor in there. I don’t think he feels it but I certainly do.
“So do you think you’d have a soulmate string if you became deviant?” I decide to just come out with the burning question on my mind. Ever since yesterday I wanted to know what Connors thoughts were on this.
“I don’t know. It is estimated that 0.00001% of the population have your gift. The same may be said for androids if your theory is correct.” Interesting.
“You think some Androids could see soulmate strings too?” Connor tilts his head as if he were to think. Damn adorable Android. Why did Cyberlife make all their creations so damn flawless?
“It’s an interesting theory. Though I doubt it would work with an Android that hasn’t deviated.” I let out a huff.
“Yeah. But Humans are born with it. Who’s to say that Androids aren’t made with it? No one knows how it actually works.” Connor looks almost thoughtful for a moment.
“If Hank and I hadn’t intervened do you think you’d have gotten through to the android?” The question shocks me a bit coming from him. It’s not really the tyoe of thing I expected him to care about.
“I don’t really know Connor. I had only just told him. It’s a shock when humans find out they have a soulmate. let alone an android. Maybe even the first. I don’t think he was pointing a gun at me for that though. I think he was just scared. He might have come around had I had more time.” Connor smiles.
“You’re very easy to talk to Miss (l/n),”
“I am,”
“Yes” Well that wasn’t what I expected.
“I like talking to you too Connor. It’s nice to talk to someone for once.” Stupid. Why did I say that?
“You’re alone most of the time?” He asks. I shrug.
“I don’t have many friends. Most people seem to be deterred by me. Though I guess you’re programmed for social interaction.” I sigh. The ever growing prospect of me being found alone in my apartment half eaten by my cats is an ever growing possibility. If I have a soulmate I hope they come along soon.
“I find our conversations to be much more easy going than everyone else’s. I rather enjoy having you around.” For a moment I saw a purple line coming from my ring finger. Though I blink and it’s gone. Maybe I’m going crazy.

Soulstrings
AUTHOR: THISISMYPANDORABOX RATING: T TYPE: SERIES! PAIRING: CONNOR X FEMALEREADER WORD COUNT: 1075
SYNOPSIS : The reader was born with the ability to see peoples soulmate strings. Though without one of her own she could just end up alone. One Android might just change that though.
A/N: My first series! Also my first DBH fic! I’m thinking three or four parts to this. Anyway let me know what you think. If you like this I can write more!
Being a detective I’ve seen many strange things. I’m also aware of the strange nature of love. How it comes in all shapes and sizes. How soulmates don’t always work out in this life but will in another. But so was the nature of this type of work. Track down people’s soulmates.
I was born with the ability to see peoples ‘soulmate’ stings. Though not everyone had them and very few could see them.
Which was why I had plenty of work in Detroit. People were desperate to find out who they were ‘meant to be with’, though my experience it didn’t always work out that way. For one not all soulmates were romantic. Some were only one sided. Some were from past lives. Some were supposed to be platonic. Apparently that didn’t matter to most people though. They just wanted to see who they were ‘destined’ to be with.
For some reason it had taken a while to track this particular string to the other end.
Usually with most cases I could tune out all other strings so I could focus just on the one I was tracking. A skill I’d developed over a long time and career. Though this particular case had been a difficult one. For some reason it wasn’t like the others and would keep fading out. Causing me to lose it and many frustrated nights. I hadn’t had trouble like this since I opened my business and was just starting out. Figuring out the many types of relationships it had been a challenge but soon I was able to recognise the different relationships with only a little studying of my subject. Though this one was difficult. The string was purple. Something I’d never seen before. Also part of the reason I had taken the woman’s case.
It wasn’t until I actually found the target that I figured out why I was having trouble.
An old warehouse was where I eventually found the target.
“Are you okay?” He turned around slowly.
“Yes. I don’t need your help.” His stare is menacing. His forearm visibly stiffens as if he’s grabbing something. Though his scared voice betrays him.
“I know, actually,” He tilts his head at this and inches foreword a touch as if to hear me better. “I need your Help. Are you aware of what soulmate strings are?” he pauses for a moment. He seems to be racking his brain.
“Yes.” His voice is flat and gives away no emotion. A sudden change from how scared he sounded before.
“Good. I’m here to tell you that you have one. I was hired by the woman your string is connected to.” He pulls a knife from his pocket.
“Impossible!” He looks and sounds crazed. His voice echoes loudly through the nearly empty room. I try to keep my cool, though I don’t know how well it works.
“I know not everyone gets them but…”
“No! I. can’t. have. one. It’s. not. Possible.” He punctuates each word with a step until he’s right in front of me. He’s a head taller than me and very threatening. I’m going to get stabbed. They are going to find my body in this warehouse. Crap. Crap. Crap! Better keep him talking the more he’s talking the less he’s stabbing me.
“I don’t understand. Why not.” He narrows his eyes.
“I’m an android.” WHAT? His reaction made a bit more sense now. I’d heard of androids going deviant but this was entirely different. This meant they were alive. They had emotions and connections. This was game changing.
“Are you deviant?” He nods. He sounds less crazy but the knife is still pointed at my internal organs.
“I see. I don’t know what to tell you. You have a purple string coming from your ring finger. It indicates a romantic soulmate…”
“FREEZE!” a man shouts from across the room. A gun is pointed in my general direction. An android comes from the door holding a gun.
“Drop your weapon and put your hands on your head.” He grabs me and holds the knife to my throat. Oh Fuck. Just when I was getting through too.
“Let me go or She dies.” The cops glance at each other.
“You don’t want to kill her do you?” The android asks. His tone is calming and quiet.
“No. but I will.”
“Let her go and you won’t be harmed.” My attacker pulls me closer.
“No just questioned and deactivated.”
“Let her go.”
“No.” He yells pointing the knife at the android cop.I’ve had enough. I kick backwards to make the android stumble. Unfortunately, my neck is nicked by the blade as I stumble away. The android lunges for my ankle and grabs on making me fall. Though the human cop is quick to shoot it out of commission. I scramble away, breathing heavily. Thankful I don’t have a knife in my neck.
“Are you okay?” The android comes to your side. The man goes over to the dead android.
“Yeah. Just… freaked out.” What a way to end my day.
A while later I’m at the station. Neck patched up as the cut was only skin deep. The android from before comes over.
“My name is Connor. Would you mind if I asked you a few questions?” I nod. Hopefully I can find out who the nutcase was.
“Why were you at the warehouse?”
“My job is to track down people with soulmate strings. That android had a purple one running from his left hand. It’s the first time I’ve seen such a thing.” The android guy stiffens and looks questioningly at me.
“This is also the first case I’ve ever heard of. I didn’t think it was possible.” I shrug. Weird things happen when you’re in love why would that change now.
“Yeah me too. I was having much more trouble with this case. The string was different to any other I’d seen before. Though I can’t say I’m overly surprised”
“Whys that Miss…” He looks at me to continue for him.
“(y/n) (l/n). Really it was just a matter of time. With AI becoming so advanced it really is just the next step right? I mean deviants are supposedly bad right?” He nods. “But I don’t think it’s necessarily true. Maybe deviants are just androids that have broken their programing because they felt too much. Like someone being abused or if they saw someone else in danger though they aren’t supposed to help?” Connor looks uncomfortable. Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut?
“An interesting theory Miss (L/n).”
