KAISHIN OPINION: NO FUNERAL

I've been seeing a lot of tags on twitter after the whole cousins reveal spoilers such as 'KaiShin Funeral' or KaiShin is Over' and a lot of condolences (and even those who offered different BL ships for Kaito or Shinichi 😅)

Now while the condolences are appreciated, personally, I won't be needing it. Because I knew KaiShin was never gonna happen for 20 years now and if I didn't want to ship them, I would've stopped back in 2004

To those who wish to stop shipping KaiShin, then that's okay. It's your right and no one should make you feel guilty for that. Its the same for those who DO still wanna ship KaiShin (whether as cousins or otherwise is entirely up to you), don't feel guilty for enjoying what you love. Ship KaiShin for as long as you want. Enjoy whatever you can for this fictional media

I can't personally speak for the KaiShin community but for me, let me make this clear:

Honestly if the spoilers are true it'd not be affecting much to the Asian side of the fandom. This is not the most cursed ship I've seen and even the holy spirits can't stop the shipping.

Wow what an update! This took a while because uh she does not rewear her outfits very often in this segment of the show, still it was fascinating to see how the style of clothes changes over this time period. Also new to this update I went through and added the smol Ran's that have appeared that I skipped over before :)

This project has been a lot of fun and I intend to continue so they'll be more to come in the future too. In the meantime I want to know people's favourites! (Or least favourites are fun too) let me know in the comments/tags!

As a final P.S I've learnt that some of her merch/promo looks are unique and I was wondering if anyone knows if there's any archive or something of references of those cause some of those are really cute and I'd like to include them.

Sorry, but this was Shinichi's biggest act of stupidity....

He knows that Hakuba is there and yet he doesn't take any kind of care when wearing the tie and helping KID, it's so ridiculous that it's funny, but at the same time it's just depressing.

I hate how from the beginning of the story Shinichi doesn't take real care to hide his identity, I will always defend the thesis that it would be much better if he had actually faked his own death to everyone and lived like Conan without having to use a drug, which in addition to putting his life even more at risk because of the pain, he never uses it in really necessary cases but rather to see Ran.

It's ridiculous, Shinichi says that if anyone from the BO finds out that he's still alive, they can go after the people he loves BUT AT THE SAME TIME HE TAKES A DRUG PILL AND GOES AROUND SHOWING HIS FACE TO EVERYONE JUST TO BE WITH RAN AND ABANDON HER 10 MINUTES LATER. If only they had good development but NOT THAT! IT'S THE SAME THING FROM THE BEGINNING!! THIS ROMANCE DOESN'T EVOLVE, IT'S ALWAYS THE SAME THING. They can't even kiss... I just can't stand Shinichi's stupidity at random moments in the plot.

Asked me if Gosto really likes this couple or just continues because of the toxic fandom....

I feel like this undermines Heizuha's credibility. I understand that Gosho wants to drag out the romantic comedy between them (probably because he doesn't want them to advance further than the main couple) but the reason for not confessing is stupid, and it makes me not take Heizuha seriously, sorry.

I don't know what is it with people and Kaitou KID, but personally, I think he's just a showoff. Sure, his magic tricks are fun to figure out for me, but all he does is steal a gem and then return it. Plus, the fact that he keeps being shipped online with Shinichi Kudo (Who is MY COUSIN and not related to me otherwise) is just gross. Shinichi does not need some cherry white, overcompensating-for-his-daddy-issues, stress inducing con-man in his life. Oh, and KID, if you are reading this, you still owe me for you know what!

YES!!!! I headcanon Hakuba and Shinichi as autistic individuals, with Hakuba easily confused with tones/has zero sense of self preservation when it comes to personal space, (doesn't realize a comfortable distance usually...)

Whereas I see Shinichi at the opposite end of that spectrum of sorts, with a dislike for physical touch and prefers to usually avoid it, which is frustrating as I think forms of physical pressure (like hugs) would assist in calming him.

9. The character I'd most enjoy feeding to a pride of ravenous lions

my two-decade long relationship with this series means that i'm too attached to all the characters for me to really hate any of them 😂 but if we go by character i really don't give much of a fuck about, and i probably would enjoy saving them from a pride of ravenous lions the least, it's probably Amuro/Furuya/Bourbon/whatever 😌

3. A character I want to carry around in a little jar and study like a bug

man there are so many good candidates for this bc so many characters in this series look normal but are actually fucking weird. any of the Black Org for example. Yuusaku bc what the fuck how does that man even make the decisions that he does. any of the police characters???? can i have a jar of each character that i switch out every week or so

5. The character who gives me the greatest gender envy

Sera...tho i'm tranmasc and i more see her as transfem. but goddamn if her current design isn't something i wish i could pull off 😂

13. The non-canon pairing I find the most intriguing

having started this series as a kid, i'm very attached to all the canon couples. that being said i'm extremely fond of heishin and i think the greater teen detectives + friends polycule is a fantastic concept and they would all be down for it. and also i hate to admit it but there's something about furukaza. i really only find myself caring about Furuya when he's with Kazami 😂

God I hate this case so much. Of course it's a case that Gosho uses to push the romance between Shinichi and Ran with his weird idea of what is romantic.

Yes, he loved her so much so the way he showed his love was to bully her over her decision to change her face for him, wondering why she was so self-conscious in the first place! GEE I WONDER WHY!

This tragedy happened because two people couldn't express their feelings to one another, so let's not have my main characters really express their feelings but pretend I did!

any time I see lategame conan openings or endings they're so damn funny for no good reason, particularly the shinran drama. I like shinran as much as the next person but the way it's shot is so unserious I just can't take it with a straight face

meanwhile meikyuu no lovers is so moody and subtle it makes me anxious every time without even having any pronounced drama in the video sequence or lyrics
