as someone who isnt super excited for sotm for certain reasons I am really glad that like. it's clear that since ruin theyve been setting up for carnival and sotm IS carnival. so now that carnival is finally coming out, afterwards theyll be moving on to other plotlines since the main villain stuff is sorted out

I'm just rlly happy to finally see a clear direction for how the story is gonna be playing out with like "okay these games were leading up to this so after this will be open possibilites" instead of like. absolutely no info about each upcoming game and being left guessing before it releases and just having to wait and see what's in it and if anything you're looking forward to will be in it

it feels like they have a plan and a solid direction for what they're trying to do and after carnival releases thatll be all that buildup coming to fruition. & we already know from the Scott interview that theres another release 'beyond sotm' that's 'super exciting' so maybe thatll be focusing on another big currently untouched (which is basically all of them) plotline, or even the big campaign game that dawko has been calling security breach 2

CRACK THEORY: Security Breach takes place in the DISTANT FUTURE (like, 2100)

Tried to write this but accidentally deleted it all. Not gonna try and type it all back out but here's my random crack theory in a nutshell:

Bears are implied to be extinct in the FNAF universe by the time Security Breach takes place

We see very few actual people throughout the Pizzaplex even as far as night staff goes, for such a large environment. There's a ton of animatronics that are noticeably sentient or at least extremely intelligent without being possessed - i.e. the mapbots, S.T.A.F.F bots, etc.

The FNAF 6 location is deep underground in Security Breach which doesn't make a lot of sense

All the human characters from the first six games (1, 2, 3, 4, SL, FFPS) are either dead or have had their consciousness transferred into an animatronic or something similar. Elizabeth is in Baby, Michael is possibly the cause of the weird behavior in Glamrock Freddy, William is... William, and Henry died in a fire in FNAF 6. The only character that comes to mind that isn't accounted for is Mrs. Afton and while MatPat's theory that she's running the company definitely makes sense, we also don't have enough evidence to confirm it.

In Help Wanted, the tapes suggest that the devices and circuit boards scanned into the game are old. We can presume that this might include the "power module" from Baby in SL. That wouldn't really be that old, right?

In Help Wanted, handunit / the narrator lampshades the entire timeline by saying that FNAF 1-4 were the works of a deranged indie game developer based on lies, and suggests that those games have been out for some time, and are based on events that happened some time ago. This implies a large gap in the timeline between FNAF 1-4 (+ SL) and HW/SB.

My theory... is that Security Breach takes place a REALLY long time from now, and the reason that bears are extinct is because climate change fucking killed them. The Glamrock animatronics are more sentient that any others in the past because at this point in the timeline General AI is just a thing. This even makes sense for the Gregory robot hypothesis.

-Like many, I don't think it's really Gregory talking? Like we all witnessed him destroy everything I doubt he'd be scared now. Also wasn't she supposed to be a tiny blond kid with piggy tails haircut??? who's that?? did i make up the tiny blond girl???

-I love the withered look of everything. I think Chica's model could've been better tho. I wanna see mapbot. Kinda wish he's the only one not withered cause he's a girlboss.

-Steelwool, this better stay IN the game this time please I need it you have no idea how many times I got lost without them:

-00:37 makes it looks like we might actually see Gregory around? I like the idea

-00:49 please corrupted Glamrock Freddy like I was expecting at the end of Security Breach when he realizes Gregory tore apart his friends to upgrade him

-How the fuck did Sun and Moon get fused like that (I hope we see them longer this time)

-The Vanny mask at 00:54. I've seen people be like "Does this mean Vanny's dead". This is a mask, not hers. This looks like Help Wanted plastic mask and not Vanny's fursuit mask. So I'm pretty sure this isn't hers, but whether she'll show up or not, I don't know. I personally think it'd be a dumb idea to get rid of Vanny - especially after wasting her potential - but she also stays one of the main villains and a fan beloved.

People have also been saying the mask looks like a VR Headset and I cannot see it? I do agree it definitely has technology in it and everything but that's not what VR headset looks like?

-You. I love you. Hope you're also Glitchtrap and get content this time and the content better not be the last 5 minutes. I have also seen people saying that it might be Glamrock Bonnie controlled by Glitchtrap and you know what? I hope it is. It is one of my oldest Security Breach theories when I played and it would make so much sense, way more than Burntrap. Link to the post where I explain a little more.

Ah Elizabeth! She's. Quite interesting.

So Elizabeth was a pretty normal child, barring her dad being a serial killer. She got along well with her brothers, as all siblings do at least. Which is to say she loved them but they were all menaces to each other.

Elizabeth was seven-ish when Evan died. And she.... she handled it in the way that seven-ish year olds do. Which is to say she was sad and grieving, but also doesn't quite have the full range of capacity to processes the more existential idea of death.

She was lonely. She wanted her parents and older brother to go back to how they used to be and play with her. But they're all stuck dealing with Everything and just kind of ignore her past basic needs and general 'I know you miss Evan but he's gone now' comfort.

Wanting to have someone to play with, she does the one thing she was told never to do: Go into her father's workshop alone. (The workshop being what I turned Sister Location into).

As William's projects were all designed to harm children if they were alone....

Well. You can imagine.

Elizabeth's Ghost was stuck in the workshop for a while, essentially possessing Circus Baby. She's... a bit out of it but Time means little to the Dead. So she just does what a seven-ish year old would do and play with the 'toys'(the other animatronics). She actually has plenty of time to study how the animatronics work, especially as she realizes that no one is going to fix them when she breaks them.

Eventually this bores her, and she wants to see her family and friends again. She even misses school, can you believe that? She is desperate to leave, but is stuck there. Either because of possessing Baby or because of other factors I'm not sure yet.

Until Michael eventually returns, looking for clues on where William might be. Elizabeth doesn't really recognize him. It's been years since she's seen him. The Michael she remembers is about 10. This is a grown man.

Seeing a way out, she end up killing him in her attempt to possess him. Since Michael also 'goes ghost', it doesn't take long for him to realize what happened to her, and for him to tell her everything else. (She regrets killing him but what's done is done.)

The two, now both possessing Michael's corpse, seek out Charlie who is beginning her rebuild of the Pizzeria. They explain this shit to her, and as this is post-Silver Eyes she goes 'yeah that tracks', plus she's pretty sure William isn't dead since weird shit's happening in the new location.

They all agree to help each other out. Charlie makes new animatronics for Michael and Elizabeth to possess since the whole corpse thing is nasty.

Elizabeth's new body is initially childlike. She was a child when she died so she should be a child still, right? Well age is also kinda funky when you're dead.

She's a bit older and more mature, even feeling uncomfortable in the child-like body and requesting an adult size one. But she does sometimes have odd moments of very childlike behavior and logic.

Over time, Elizabeth realizes she kinda likes working on the animatronics. She did spend a while learning on the fly in the workshop, so she's already kinda good at it. though there's a slight learning curve of 'what do you mean they shouldn't have murder claws inside them?'.

Elizabeth helps Charlie in their new Workshop, working on the Pizzaplex's animatronics. Though they work on things together, they do consider whoever had the main bulk of design work will have that one be 'theirs'. Sun, Moon, and DJ Music Man are all Elizabeth's creations. Though DJMM isn't entirely finished, she's also started tweaking Mapbot into a new Animatronic seperate from the regular staff bots.

i like Roxy, Glamrock Freddy, Monty, DJMM- but top favorite aside from the jesters… probably MapBot- I am dead serious.

Mr. Zer0 drove into the parking lot near the already closed pizza plex.

He has a double-barreled shotgun on his back and a sapper shovel on his belt. As always, he's wearing a white suit.

He climbs into the Plex Pizza through the roof. After he climbed, the path to the bottom began. At the very bottom.

He hoped he was the only one here, but maybe he was wrong?

I don’t know why people are saying Cassie and Vanessa. The patient 46 tapes literally set up the plot line of Cassie’s dad freeing Gregory. The last few tapes tell us that the techs were onto Gregory and actually managed to get a picture of him. Among these techs, Cassie’s dad was most likely present. He would have a motive to free Gregory because of his daughter’s closeness to him. He also would have the skills and expertise to do so. Additionally, his presence in help wanted 2 without any of his coworkers implies something different happened to him instead of the All Staff Meeting Slaughter.

He seemingly possesses map bot which is the only staffbot that doesn’t snitch on Gregory in security breach, even the cleaners will snitch if you get too close to them. We know all the staffbots are possessed by humans in SB, so it’s a strange detail for mapbot (Cassie’s dad) to be the exception

There’s also the fact that Cassie’s dad is sent into an eternal hell like realm by the mimic. It’s almost like the mimic is punishing him specifically.

Vanny couldn’t have freed him because she could barely keep Glitchtrap’s influence off her in the tapes. She also suffers from the same amnesia that Gregory does. She was never in the position to help Gregory.

I don’t believe Cassie has the skills required to help Gregory. I also think it would inflate her character too much if she did actually free him. It feels forced. Why wouldn’t she know about GGY in ruin? Why did she think Gregory went missing? Why does she mourn him? If she really freed him, she wouldn’t be as oblivious as she is in ruin. ETP also clearly takes place WAY before Gregory gets freed (we are not going to see GGY get destroyed in this book. Temper your expectations). We know that there are still human employees and it’s before the staff meeting, meaning it could be months or years before SB. There’s also, as I mentioned before, a period in time where Cassie believes Gregory is dead/missing due to the posters in ruin. This has to be after ETP, meaning she couldn’t have freed him in ETP

Tony is long dead before Gregory gets freed. They’d have to do some ghost stuff to make that work.
