It's a work in progress but these are the photos one year after. I'm not done with my declutter & refurbish project. It continues on. I have a long way to go, but at least there is progress. 😉👍

ECQ GOALS

#declutterandrefurbishgoals achieved this Holy Week as ECQ (enhanced community quarantine) has once again been declared where I am. We've ordered this bed frame some two weeks back and waited till we have more time to move it to its current position. I believe it's worth noting that I call this new bed frame Bitcoin bed. Yes, it's a product of my Bitcoin savings and profit. The need to replace the bed frame was on my to-do list for a while now. I'm glad I finally got to tick it off.

Lots more left on my goals list. One step at a time... One day at a time... All goals can and will be achieved! 😉👍🏼

#refurbishgoals2020 in two parts. It took a while to save up and plan for this, but it happened in November of this corona year. Another area has been improved. Yey! I will post the before and after on part two of this post.

First, a review. We've liked SanYang furniture. This one, however, not so much. It's made in China, unlike most made in Malaysia DIY shelves. The diagram didn't help much at all. Luckily, someone posted a YT video on assembling this. Watching it helped a lot!! 👍🏼👍🏼

At the end of the day, I'm just glad for this improved area. There remains a lot more to be worked on indeed!

#refurbishgoals2020 I totally forgot to post this here as an update to my ongoing declutter & refurbish project. I started it December of 2018, documented my monthly achievements in 2019, and then the corona year came. 😑😑😑

Well, like most folks, I had to deal with two and a half months of no income too. It was a struggle, but thankfully, I did have a bit of emergency fund as back up. Whew! I'm still trying to get back on track. But life has to go on. My project goes on too, but a bit slower than before.

This was in August. I updated my FB album with it, but somehow I forgot to add it here for documentation.

That's the "before" photo of this area that we got to clear out. 😊😊 I'd say I'm pleased with the results.

Next time, I will share another refurbish project that I got to accomplish this weekend. 😉👍🏼 till then.. Ta-tah!

#rcsmonthlyrecap #rcsDecembergoals I'm just thankful that the stressful holidays are over. Congratulations, we all survived it! Happy New Year! Let's all claim that 2020 will be another great year! ^_^

December was truly busy, but we did a scheduled general cleaning some time middle of the month before all the fancy fare started. We were able to remove two huge obstacles from the main living room  area. However, there's still a clutter "islet" that needs to be cleared. Right now, it's composed of stuff that we have narrowed down to keep and find a proper place for. These were the "for later" stuff that we still need to place. Oh boy! It's truly getting tougher each time. But I could see a lot of space improvement already, and I'm glad to be continuing on with my declutter and refurbish goals for this 2020. It's a continuing process, and I won't stop until I have achieved a livable space.

Here's an almost year-end task done.. since we couldn't cover up the cemented area with wallpaper, we just bought a quick spray paint for it. It's not perfect, but we like the patches we made. Anyway, it could later on be hidden by some overhead shelves that we were planning to add for more storage of important stuff. We'll see... onwards to creating more #rcs2020goals.

I can't believe that it has been a month since my last #monthlyrecap . Time for another one today. Here's an update of #Junegoals . The hobby corner rack that I was working on got placed in the allotted space. We were also able to fill it up with stuff we have chosen. It's been trimmed down to the best we can. I'm afraid I still have lots of stuff that spark joy in me.

I've also managed to install side brackets on another side of the wall. I will be working on my open closet. Of course the delays are somewhat due to the need for more resources.

I've decided to do away with a number of my magazine collections. I have added some on my Shopee account. I expect to add some more in the weeks to come. I'm serious about needing more space around our tiny flat.

That's it for now. I will be working on more details from here on. But I will be sharing updates & photos when visible changes can be seen & felt. Well, I'll see you in another month's time. Till then... ta-tah! ^_^

Another month is over. Time for #monthlyrecap of #Maygoals . Last month I mentioned that my task list just got longer. It's been almost half a year since I started on home improvements. I'm still a long way from being done. After all, cleaning & organizing are daily tasks & not just seasonal projects.

Sometimes I'm stumped as I have now realized that I have too many stuff. I'm not ready yet to let go of everything. But I'm a work in progress, so I know I'll be able to declutter & refurbish completely.

Time to set #Junegoals as we welcome another month. In a way, I'm quite happy to be seeing progress, albeit rather slowly. I can't wait till I'm able to share a finished area.

#WeekendVibes interrupting my Batanes tour posts with another monthly recap of my #declutter #refurbish #2019goals .

First, there was the retractable clothesline I installed at the backroom, so we'll have an alternative indoor hanging rack. Then, we have cleared out the "soon to be foyer" area, as our donations have been picked up before we went on vacay. Next, we were able to remove the old headboard from the middle room. I love seeing more open spaces. Lastly, we were able to remove the old vanity dresser as well. More open spaces... yey!

No, we're not yet done with our targeted March 2019 goals, but we got closer to achieving them. Time to set new goals for this April.

Me, right at the moment... my weekends will be reserved mostly for cleaning up, clearing out, decluttering our tiny flat, and refurbishing it. >.< This is a major chunk of my #2019goals. I look forward to more open spaces and a nicer looking flat after all my tasks are done! For now, I will need the discipline to keep pushing! >.<

Time for another #monthlyrecap .. #Aprilgoals had some progress. We were finally able to remove the last piece of big furniture in the middle room. Plus, I was able to clean the entire room during the lenten holidays. It just feels so good to see progress on my task list. Then, some new wallpaper has been added to the wall. I have also installed some shelves. My task is far from over. I have yet to complete the design for my work area. Lastly, the divider wall between the rooms has been taken down just last Sunday. Yey!

Time to set new goals for the month of May! Oh boy, my task list has just grown longer. For now, I'm happy with my progress. Still hanging on & planning things a day at a time so I won't be too overwhelmed with the bulk of work that has yet to be done. With that, I'll be back for more updates next month. #refurbishgoals2020 part two. There it is, not perfect but looks ok. We did not finish this in one sitting. We had to call it a night and continue the following day. 🤣😂

I'm grateful that this area has been improved. The whole flat is still a work in progress as there are areas for improvement still.

It's certainly a huge improvement compared to when I started the project. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 #grateful #blessed

In fact, I'm interrupting my travel updates with home improvements for the previous month. So the cluttered corner was cleared and a new bookcase / display cabinet was put in place. Some of our books were also given their special place.

Two small crates were also ordered. These are waiting to be placed on the wall in the bedroom.

Time to plan for March 2020 goals. Still a long way to go for my declutter & refurbish project. I still have a cluttered zone that I need to clear to make way for a two-seater sofa. Inshallah! Till next month... Ta-tah! 😊😊

#monthlyrecap #January2020goals clutter zones still needing attention. Two items got removed. One was the broken shelf organizer; the other, the wooden furniture. The area looks slightly better now. But more work still needs to be done.

Another area got worked out. New ottoman storage bench to complement the planned foyer. The whole area is still a work in progress.

Cleared out another area in preparation for a bookshelf / display case. Budget in place, waiting to be applied. Hopefully, I could share the organized look next time around.

Time to plan for #February2020goals. Declutter & refurbish is just one part of my life. There are other goals to set in other parts. Finding the balance is my ultimate challenge. 😉👌See you in next month's update. Keep rocking! Ta-tah!

#monthlyrecap #Novembergoals in line with my monthly tracking or progress on the home front, not much has been accomplished for November. I have worked on some minor decluttering but none that huge to show off. Well, tiny steps are better than none. This organizer rack has been placed on the last minute as an adjustment to the design on my mind. The area next to it is still a bit cluttered, so I couldn't share about that. I did take photos of cluttered areas so I could study them further and eventually work on fixing them. Slowly but surely, I know I will get there.

I've scheduled another general cleaning by midmonth. I do want to remove a clutter island as I call it. If successful, I would be sharing that update in the New Year. Tee-hee wish me luck!!!

I've readied the shelf to be placed in our room wall, however some minor ceiling fixes need to be done first before setting the shelf in place. Hope that also gets done soon.

#Octobergoals

#Monthlyrecap for #Octobergoals. Yes, it's that time of the month again. I do these monthly recaps for my RL (real life) goals as a check and balance that I'm staying on track of my overall 2019 goals to declutter and refurbish. I've done a lot when I reflect and look back; but when I look forward, I feel that I'm a long way from fully accomplishing my overall goals. For one, I haven't yet achieved that Instagrammable look for our tiny flat.

Another general cleaning was scheduled at the start of October. Because of that, the computer table has been moved out of the room and emptied. The bonus part is I've already got a buyer for the computer table. I'm just waiting for the pick up date.

The blue dresser organizer was now moved inside the room, as there's enough space for it now. The telephone and modem took the place vacated by the dresser outside the room. Finally, I'm seeing some visible changes. Another general cleaning is set for November already. I can't wait to clear up more space.

The damaged part of the wall brought about by removing the wall divider has been patched. Some quick dry cement for the ceiling part and wall paper for the wall part. I'm getting that space ready for an open hanging closet that I would be installing soon. And yes, I do everything by myself, with a little help from my daughter. Funny, but I actually enjoy doing it myself.

Well, mission partly accomplished for October. It's time to set the goals for November. See you next month for more updates. ^_^
