A/N: Thanks to @mashmaiden, once again, for reminding me this is the fifteenth anniversary of Kensi and Deeks meeting.
***
When Tracey Met Jason
“I suppose you’re not that bad,” Kensi decided and he snorted, head tilting back as he grinned. Something about his smile, and the fact she’d elicited it from him, made her want to do it again.
“Geez, you just keep rolling out the compliments,” he teased.
“Aw, don’t tell me you can’t handle a few jokes, Detective.”
His laugh was breathy this time. “Oh no. I was just about to say I suppose you might make a decent undercover operator.” He paused. “Someday.”
Kensi gaped at him. “That’s—you know what, I can see why you don’t have a partner,” she tossed back as soon as the insult occurred to her.
“Blye, you’ll have to try a lot harder than that to hurt my feelings,” he drawled, and she couldn’t tell if she hated it or liked it. Making a circular gesture to encompass his hair and face, he shrugged. “When you don’t follow the crowd, you kind of learn to have a thick skin, and Sam’s punches aside, you guys got nothing on some of my former colleagues.
Kensi didn’t know what to say to that. She certainly didn’t know what to do with a cop who clearly didn’t find her intimidating, and baited Sam and Callen without any sign of fear. All while helping himself to their coffee.
“Well, it turned out to be helpful on this case,” she settled on.
“Thanks,” Deeks said with a smaller smile. “Maybe I’ll see you around.”
***
“Happy anniversary.”
“Happy anniversary,” Kensi echoed, twining her arm through Deeks’ and they fed each other a bite of cake. She brushed a bit off frosting off his upper lip, following it up with a kiss.
They drew apart with the sound of incoming footsteps in time to see Rosa walk in the kitchen. She still had her backpack and shoes on, and Deeks guessed she’d come straight from a study session.
“Hi, sweetie,” Kensi greeted her.
“Hey Rose.”
“Hey. Are we celebrating something?” she asked, gesturing to the mini cake with a couple bites missing.
“Just the 15th anniversary of the day we met,” Kensi explained. “You want some?”
“Oh, I don’t want to eat it if it’s your—”
“Don’t be ridiculous,” Deeks cut her off, pushing the cake in her direction. “Dig in.”
With that, Rosa cut herself a slice, and joined them at the table.
“So, which anniversary is this one again? I know your all-in day is in December, but I forget some of the others.”
“This was the very first day we met, at the MMA gym.”
“I don’t think you ever told me that whole story,” Rosa said. “So…”
Deeks smiled, happy to oblige. “Fifteen years ago, I was undercover at an MMA gym when Kensi walked in—”
“No idea he was LAPD.”
“Right.“
“What were your initial reactions?” Rosa asked.
“I thought Deeks was cute, but sketchy and possibly a drug dealer,” Kensi answered, sharing a knowing look with Deeks.
“And I thought you were hot and definitely not our victim’s girlfriend.” Deeks nodded to Rosa. “I have it on good authority she couldn’t keep her eyes off my hair.”
“Sam and Callen made that up,” Kensi protested, but acknowledged as she ran her fingers through his curls. “Thought it certainly didn’t hurt.”
“I seem to recall you had on a black tank top, jeans, and bag that went across her shoulder,” he added. Kensi elbowed him lightly, likely remembering the last time her outfit from that day came up.
“You still remember what I wore?”
“As if I could forget,” she scoffed, eyeing him up and down.
The look sent a pleasant shiver across his shoulders.
“White tank top, red shorts, and black socks,” she rattled off.
“That’s so sweet,” Rosa sighed.
“It was a rocky start,” Kensi said, running her finger over Deeks’ lower lip again as she looked him directly in the eye. “But I’m so grateful for the day Tracey met Jason.”
“And I think that is my cue to leave,” Rosa muttered, taking her cake and making a quick, but exaggerated exit.
“Admit it, you were pretty smitten from day one,” Deeks teased, and Kensi shook her head, laughter in her eyes.
“Never. Though I am completely and utterly smitten now.”
They kissed again, fifteen years of growth and love between them.

Wrongfully Accused
Deeks stormed into Rosa’s high school, Kensi by his side. He was trying extremely hard not to no one of “those” parents right now, but a call from the Dean of Students informing them Rosa had been suspended for the day had him in fight mode.
“Remember, we want to stay calm, professional, and open-minded,” Kensi reminded him. Deeks sent her a look over his shoulder and muttered,
“You’re the one who asked if I could send a threatening letter on my office stationary.”
“I was joking,” she hissed back as they were buzzed into the main office. They stepped up to the front desk, where a woman with short curly hair was on the phone. When she hung up, Deeks pulled on his best customer service smile.
“Hi, I’m Marty Deeks.”
“And I’m Kensi Blye,” Kensi added.
“We’re Rosa Reyes’ parents.”
“Oh yes,” the secretary said, offering them each a stick on visitor badge. “She’s just down the hall. You can go see her, but please wait until the Dean is available to speak with you.”
“Can you tell us what happened?” Kensi asked.
“I’m afraid you’ll have to ask Mr. Ruddell.”
“Of course. Thank you.”
Taking that as a dismissal, they headed in the direction the secretary indicated. They found Rosa sitting outside an office a couple rooms down a long hallway. Her was bowed over her raised knees, her defeated posture increasing Deeks’ concern.
“Rosa,” he called out softly, and she looked up, relief followed by embarrassment flashing across her face.
“Kensi, Deeks,” she said, standing, and accepting a hug from each of them.
“Are you ok?” Kensi asked, cupping Rosa’s cheeks as Deeks looked for visual signs of injury.
“Yes, I’m fine.” She nodded shortly.
“What happened?”
As soon as Deeks asked the question, Rosa glanced down, her reluctance to speak palpable.
“It’s ok. Whatever happened, we’ll figure it out together,” Deeks assured her.
“Mrs. Kelly kicked me out of class,” Rosa finally revealed.
“What? Why?” Deeks asked in surprise. He. Knew Rosa wasn’t perfect, and he’d never held her to that expectation, but he couldn’t imagine her causing any problems worthy of expulsion.
“She said my phone was ringing, but it was not. I always put it on mute or in my locker before a class,” Rosa explained, a bit of fire entering her voice which made Deeks oddly proud.
“Did you tell her that?” Kensi asked.
“Yes. She didn’t believe me though and by the time I got my phone out, the ringing stopped. She told me to gather my things and come down here.”
“Over one phone call?”
Rosa shrugged. “She really doesn’t like students being on their phone during class,” she answered.
“Where’s your phone now?” Deeks asked, falling into lawyer mode.
“Um, she confiscated it before I left the room.”
“I see.”
“What does that mean?” Rosa asked with a hint of nervousness returning. “I promise I didn’t do it.”
“We believe you,” Kensi said, squeezing Rosa’s shoulder. “Deeks is just mentally crafting his defense on your behalf.”
“My defense? I don’t think that’s really necessary.”
“Oh yes it is,” Kensi and Deeks said together. They shared a look.
“You’re not taking the blame for something you didn’t do,” Deeks told Rosa firmly.
“Thank you,” she whispered, offering him a grateful smile.
“That’s kind of our job.”
“Plus, Deeks loves a good reason to argue,” Kensi added.
“Ok, but please try not to scare Mr. Ruddell too badly,” Rosa requested.
“No promises,” Deeks said.
***
A/N: Once again, drawn from a real-life scenario. One time when I was getting ready to take an exam in undergrad, someone’s phone went off. The professor walked up to me and said my phone was ringing. I insisted it wasn’t and started to get my phone out to show him it was off, but whoever did have the ringing phone silenced it before I could. While I didn’t get kicked out, the professor gave me this knowing, judgy look.

Deeks and Rosa were sitting in a waiting room while Rosa's immigration lawyer was dealing with some paperwork snafu before her interview with her immigration case worker. Deeks was in a suit and tie, Rosa in a lovely blue Calvin Klein dress Kensi found on sale at Macy's. Kensi was at Camp Pendleton testifying in a trial. She was waiting for his text.
"I found your wedding album while I was helping Kensi cleaning her box called 'stuff'," Rosa told Deeks as they waited.
"Our anniversary is next week. It's good to know it survived the move two-years ago."
"That's why Kensi was cleaning up her 'stuff' boxes in the garage. Part of her anniversary gift to you."
"Part?" Deeks was really interested now. "Oh, tell me the other part. I can fake being surprised."
"Where's the fun in that? Just be surprised."
"Please." Deeks pled.
"No. I'm staying out of this."
"You're in. You know what Kensi is getting me, tell me and we're all even."
"To be even, you'd have to tell me what you're getting Kensi."
"Well, it's a surprise." And Rosa was a part of part of it. He booked a Mother's Day spa weekend at Two Bunch Palms in Palm Springs for Kensi and Rosa. He also got the annual Moshe call after Valentine's Day with a good price for some piece of jewelry that didn't move. This year it was dangly earrings with diamonds. "So if you won't share, you'll get nothing and like it."
"'Caddyshack'."
"See, you are catching up on all the good movies. Next Friday, I say we do 'Clueless'."
"I wouldn't mind watching 'Bend Like Beckham' again."
"Again? You have it on Hulu all the time."
"Because it's great."
"You'll like 'Clueless'. Kensi loves 'Clueless'."
"The way she loves '13 Going on 30'?" Rosa asked.
"Kensi doesn't love anything the way she loves '13 Going on 30'."
"That's not true, she loves you more than that movie," Rosa had a big smile. "She showed me all the pictures in the wedding album. Told me about what happened that day."
"It was a day."
"She looked beautiful. You looked handsome in your tuxedo. Mandy was so pregnant."
"The only weird thing that didn't happen in that wedding and reception was Mandy going into labor. She held that off for three more days."
"Why did your Mom wear black?"
"It was a much better dress than the purple one she originally bought. Deep v-neck, open back and the dress ended about halfway down her thigh. It was a lot."
"Julia looked beautiful."
"Yes she did. Not as beautiful as her daughter…"
"Did you know you'd always marry her?"
"No, we needed to work through some things but once we did, I knew she was my last girlfriend and my only wife."
"That's romantic in a very strange way."
"Please put that on my tombstone, 'He was romantic in a very strange way.'"
"Don't talk like that." Rosa looked at her hands for a second. "Do you think Gregory can fix the paperwork problems."
"I haven’t heard any yelling so Gregory is likely making progress." Deeks saw Gregory T. Coates III, immigration lawyer to the stars who does some pro-bono work for Los Angeles uniformed services members, military and those involved in education, making a bee-line to them.
"Those fu…..fools finally got the paperwork right," Gregory said as he sat next to Rosa. "Your interview will start in a few minutes. All the letters of recommendation are in, your school records are up to date, including your first round of SATs. You're in a very good place, Rosa. Go in, be yourself, be calm and remember, Kensi, Marty and I are all here to fight for you. You be you and you'll be great, kid."
"Thank you," Rosa smiled.
"You," he pointed to Deeks. "Keep your mouth shut. It's her show. You answer questions directly asked to you. Don't be cute, don't be funny, don't be…"
"Don't be me." Deeks was not offended.
"You can be you the minute this is over and you're taking me to dinner."
"Rosa Diaz," an assistant walked up to the three of them. "We're ready for you."
Deeks gave Rosa a peck on the cheek. "And you're ready for them." The three walked to the interview room with the assistant. Deeks didn't think he'd spend the Friday before his anniversary in an immigration office but there was no place else he'd rather be.

Deeks walked into the house and dropped his keys in the dish by the door.
“You’re back,” Kensi said, walking into the living room with a beer and a bag of pretzels. “Your Mom’s set-up?” she asked as she plopped on the couch. It was “The Voice” night at the house of Blye-Deeks-Reyes.
“She is.”
“Lucky to find that AirBnB,” Kensi said as he plopped down next to her.
“Actually, it was two-hours on my phone and Fatima’s tablet at work. I love my Mother but not enough to have us stay with us for two weeks.”
“How much is this going to cost us?”
“A pittance compared to our sanity.”
“Deeks.”
“I told her $1,500, it’s $2,500 so we’re out a grand.”
“Doable.”
“She had me check the place for hidden cameras, bugs and security issues.”
“And.”
“It is a condo off the beach with an ocean view without cameras, bugs or security issues. 25-year old Marty Deeks would have never left even if there were cameras, bugs and security issues.”
“How is nearly 45-year old Marty Deeks doing?”
“Fine. Mom’s happy but not here with us. We’re good. We are good, aren’t we?”
“We’re great. So is Rosa, who is writing a paper on ‘Jane Eyre’.” Kensi took a pull on her beer. “Rountree called.”
“Did he forget something in the truck?”
“He wanted to make sure you were okay.”
“Oh,” Deeks said. Then he understood. “Oh, I’m fine. What did he tell you?”
“He said the case was rough.”
“That it was.”
“He said he was surprised. You were great with the victim. Not that he was surprised by that you were good with the victim. I guess…”
“He was surprised bad things happened in the past,” Deeks said with a sigh.
“You’re a sunny soul, Deeks. It’s what I love about you the most.”
“I thought it was my delightful wit and romantic prowess.”
“They’re on the list. But mostly you’re a ‘look for the sunny side of things’ sort of guy.”
“Being a lifelong Californian, it is hard to be anything else.”
“Deeks.”
“I have no interest in wallowing in the past. Nothing is going to change it and it’s not going to make the future any better.”
“Do you want to talk about the case?”
“Navy wife was beaten by her abusive husband who was also selling Navy explosives on the side. Wife beater was killed by his bad guy partners but as the spouse, the wife was the first suspect.”
“The Navy has a domestic abuse hotline. Why didn’t she call?”
“Oh, she called. They did nothing. Kilbride didn’t think I was properly respectful of the Navy having a program since I had a hard time overlooking that they completely failed her.”
“Are you in trouble with Kilbride?”
“If I’m not, I’m going to be.”
“What did you do?”
“Gave her my friend Bruce’s phone number and gave him a call.”
“Bruce the real estate lawyer to the stars.”
“Bruce, the real estate lawyer who is partner at Taylor, Moore and Thomas. Thomas being Stephanie Thomas.”
“The women’s rights lawyer.”
“Yep. She sued her way through Hollywood with all the me-too cases. Maybe it’s time for the Navy to explain themselves the way the big movie studios had to.”
“The Admiral will not be happy.”
“That’s his issue, not mine. I’m doing what I think it right.”
“You usually do.” Kensi leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “If you ever want to talk about…”
“No. My Mom never did. In some ways, I am my Mother’s son.” Deeks stretched and grabbed the remote. “Don’t look back, we’re not going that way,” he said as he turned up the volume. His Mother use to say it all the time. He’s spent nearly 35-years living it.

Beach Babe
A smile spreads to Kensi’s face as her husband brings the back of her hand that’s intertwined with his to his lips. The sun beaming down on them, her toes in the sand and their girls playing in the water…what more could she ask for.
Turning to meet his eyes, hidden behind his aviators, she slowly lets her eyes drift down to his glistening sun kissed chest.
“Excuse me, but my eyes are up here.”
She feels the heat rise to her cheeks at being caught but who could blame her? “Hey, you’re mine. I can look all I want.”
“You can also touch.” He wiggles his eyebrows before letting his eyes drift down her body. Public beach. They’re at a public beach.
“Excuse me. My eyes are up here.”
“Yeah, well mine are down here.”
She can’t fight back the smile on her face as she leans over in her beach chair, titling his head up, and brings her lips to his. “Mmmh, tasty.”
“I remember saying the exact same thing this morning when I woke you up. Wouldn’t mind going to sleep the same way.”
“Oh, really? I was actually gonna do a little something for you tonight.”
“You don’t mean…”
She bites her lower lip and nods, bringing her lips to his ear. “I’m gonna undress you slowly, pump your cock until you’re begging-“
“Mommy! Daddy!”
The brunette turns towards their baby, who’s running towards them as Deeks lets out a whimper.
Placing a kiss to his cheek, she takes a calming breath. “What baby?”
The 4 year old’s hazel eyes are as wide as saucers as she looks back and forth between her parents. “Have you ever just looked at the beach and…you just wanna live here?”
Deeks turns to his wife with a shit eating grin on his face and shrugs. “She gets it.”
“We should get a boat like Uncle Sam and live on the water!”
“Uh, but what about a yard for you to play in with Nutmeg?”
“We can play fetch on the beach! She told me she loves it here.”
“She did?”
“Yeah!”
“We’ll talk about it.”
“Yay!!”
The tiny dirty blonde plops down on Kensi, giving her a big hug. “Thank you, mommy!”
“You’re welcome, baby.”
“Excuse me?”
Harper curls in Kensi’s lap, meeting her daddy’s eyes. “Yes?”
“Don’t I get a hug?”
“Only if you come play with me and Rosa.”
“You drive a hard bargain, but okay.”
Harper hops, placing her hands on her hips and stares down the shaggy blonde until he gets up. “Let’s go, mister.”
“You know what? I think mommy wants to come, too.”
“No, I’m gonna finish my book. You two go.”
Deeks looks down at their girl who’s all her mama and shares a mischievous look with her.
Before she knows what’s happening, little fingers are wrapped around her book and being taken out of her hand. The suddenly larger hands are wrapped around her wrist, pulling her out of her chair right before her world turns upside down.
That’s when she feels her husbands muscles move against her stomach and a perfect view of his derrière fills her vision as they grow closer and closer towards the shore.
As the infectious laughter of their little girl fills the air around her she feels the need to pinch herself. How can someone be so happy?

"You don't have to treat a 17-year old boy like he's a gang member in interrogation," Kensi said as she walked over to the couch. Rosa just left with Tommy Wells, a classmate and possible boyfriend, to see Olivia Rodrigo at the Peacock Theater.
"I offered to drop them off and pick them up at the concert."
"That's a gentle description of you insisting on squiring them around."
"Squiring?"
"Come on, you have to admit you'd use that word if you thought of it first."
"Possibly," Deeks agreed. "I could have dropped them off…"
"... And Tommy's Dad, who works three blocks from the theater knows the area better, is dropping them off. He's going to his office, catch up on some paperwork and when the show is over, Tommy will text him and he'll pick them up. Much easier."
"I was LAPD for over a decade – I know LA."
"Yes, and you certainly brought up your time with LAPD several times to Tommy."
"The young man needs to know who he is dealing with."
"The poor kid is dealing with a weirdo," Kensi said, shaking her head.
"You do remember that law enforcement thing you and I do."
"Yes."
"And how many young women have we seen either in big trouble because their idiot boyfriend decided to run from the cops or even worse because the boyfriend is far more dangerous than an idiot."
"Tommy is an honors roll student, a three-sports athlete and an Eagle Scout. He's got early admissions to Pepperdine. We haven't come across too many Eagle Scouts in interrogation."
"There's always a first."
"Babe, she's a smart girl. She's survived so much. Let her enjoy being a normal teenage girl going to concerts and movies with a cute boy."
"Let me be a worrying middle-aged man."
"Just keep your worries between you and me. I trust Rosa to do the right things."
"She's been hanging around with my Mom, the queen of doing the wrong things."
"And you turned out fine. Rosa has a good head on her shoulders, she sees your Mom as the funniest person she knows."
"I'm the funniest person she knows," Deeks objected.
"You're 1A," Kensi picked up the remote. "Let's watch something silly, Rosa will be home before you know it."
Deeks would be counting the minutes.

A/N: A random little fic about Deeks once again proving people wrong.
***
Prove You Wrong
“Table of five for Deeks!”
“Here!” Deeks calls out, navigating through groups of people towards the front of the restaurant, Sophia in his arms and the rest of the family right behind them. At five in the evening, their local Mexican restaurant had a full lobby and a small group waiting outside.
It takes a minute to get everyone settled, and situate the two high chairs for the twins between Kensi and Deeks.
“Do you want to get Caleb and Sophia the kids tacos to split with rice and beans? Last time they devoured them.”
“Maybe we should get two this time, because I’m not sharing my burrito,” Kensi says. Rosa leans over to whisper to the twins.
“Don’t worry, I’ll share.”
“Fank you!” Caleb pipes up, patting her hand.
“Such a show off,” Deeks teases. “So maybe—”
“Excuse me.” An older guy, maybe in his early seventies steps into Deeks’ line of sight. A quick scan confirms he’s not a criminal he’s come across before, and he catches Kensi’s eye to see she’s done the same.
“Are you Marty Deeks?” the man asks a little uncertainty.
“Yes,” Deeks answers slowly. “Who are you?
“I thought so. Deeks isn’t a common name.” The man nods, looking relieved now. “I’m Mr. Anderson. Jerry Anderson.”
It all clicks together and Deeks flashes back to 1997.
“I was your—” Mr. Anderson starts to say and Deeks nods this, finishing for him.
“My twelfth grade history teacher. I remember.”
Thirty years ago, Jerry Anderson had a head full of black hair and a strict demeanor that Deeks naturally clashed with. He looked a lot different now with silver-white hair and dressed in a t-shirt and jeans instead of his perfectly ironed suit. Not to mention the slight hesitation before he said anything. The man Deeks remembered never had a problem speaking up.
“Is this your family?” Anderson follows up, eye roving over Kensi, Rosa and the twins.
“Yeah, my wife, Kensi, our daughter Rosa, and our twins, Sophia and Caleb,” Deeks says, feeling odd introducing them to a man who seemed to hate him for the better part of a year.
“Nice to meet you,” Kensi says, shaking Anderson’s hand. To anyone else, she sounds perfectly polite, but Deeks can tell she’s reserving judgment until he tells her otherwise.
“Nice to meet you,” Rosa echoes. Her gaze constantly flicks between Deeks and his old teacher.
“Good for you. That’s really wonderful.” Anderson looks like he actually means it. “If I remember correctly, you wanted to study law after high school.”
“I teach and I’m a lawyer,” Deeks confirms, then, because he can’t help himself, he adds, “Guess I didn’t become a dead beat after all.”
Kensi’s expression shifts to one of disapproval, and Deeks gives her the smallest shake of his head before she can intervene.
Anderson sighs regretfully. “I treated you pretty harshly sometimes, maybe unfairly, but I just wanted the best out of all of my students. You included. With your background...” He pauses. “I’m glad to be proven wrong.”
“Yeah, me too.” Deeks smiles wryly.
“You haven’t changed a bit,” Anderson observes, eyes roving over Deeks with something like disbelief and maybe a little regret. “You look just like the head-strong teenager I taught all those years ago.”
Caleb chooses that moment to loudly shout “wice” and knock a spoon off the table. The strange trip back to the past breaks and Anderson chuckles, patting Caleb and Sophia on the back.
“I should let you get back to your dinner. Right, young man?” He turns to Deeks again. “Congratulations, Marty. You have a beautiful family.”
“Thanks.”
With a final nod to Kensi and Rosa, Anderson leaves. There’s a few moments of silence, and then Rosa leaves forward and bluntly states,
“That was awkward. Did he really say those horrible things about you?”
“Oh, that was probably one of the nicest,” Deeks jokes. “We did not get along well. At all.“
“Clearly he’s an idiot,” Kensi says, punctuating the statement with a crunch of a chip. “He is right about one thing, though.”
“What’s that?”
“We made a beautiful family together.”
“That we did,” Deeks agrees. He glanced behind him, but doesn’t Anderson anywhere in sight. He shouldn’t care, but he does feel a small amount of satisfaction for having proved yet another would-be mentor wrong.

A/N: Can you believe Kensi and Deek have been together for 10 years?
***
Ten Years Strong
Deeks wandered out of Sophia and Caleb’s room with Kensi, each holding a twin. He suppressed a huge yawn as Kensi proposed their schedule for the day.
“I’m just saying it we go to the store first then we won’t have to—”
Deeks yelped, covering Sophia’s face instinctively as something banged. It took him about three seconds to register the confetti floating through the air and Rosa standing in front of the dining room table with a party popper.
“What is going on?” Kensi asked.
“Happy anniversary!” Rosa said and pulled the string on another popper. Caleb and Sophia both clapped their hands excitedly, scrambling to get down and gather up the bits of shredded paper.
“I seem to recall our anniversary isn’t until the spring,” Deeks said, his heart rate starting to return to a normal level.
“Oh come on, I don’t believe you’ve forgotten about All-in day. You’ve only mentioned it about a hundred time since I met you,” she teased.
“Honestly, my primary thought before this was ‘coffee’,” Kensi admitted.
“Same.”
“I thought you might have forgotten since you’ve been so busy,” Rosa explained, stepping to the side to reveal buffet style breakfast laid out on the table.
“Rosa, you made all of this?” Kensi examined the stacks of waffles, pancakes, bacon, and berries.
“It wasn’t hard.”
“Rose, you did not have to do all this,” Deeks said, thinking of how early she must have woken up to prepare everything.
“I wanted to,” she insisted. “I know how important today is for you, so wanted it to be special.”
“Well, we appreciate it.” Holding out his arm, Deeks hugged Rosa tightly, shifting her to one side to welcome Kensi into the fold. “Thank you.”
“We love you,” Kensi added.
“Love you too.” Hugging them for a few more seconds, Rosa moved back, gesturing to the table. “Let’s before the food gets cold.”
“Food?” Caleb inquired, distracted from stuffing confetti in his mouth at the prospect of eating.
“Yes, it’s time to celebrate mom and dad. You should get used to celebrating anniversaries,” Rosa told the twins, flashing him a grin. “There are many.”
“Ok!” Caleb responded easily.
“Takes?” Sophia asked.
“Yes, there are pancakes, Sophie.”
Watching Rosa gently encourage them to come to the table, Deeks wrapped his arm around Kensi’s shoulders again.
“We really got lucky when we decided to give us a try ten years ago,” he mused.
“We did.” Kensi kissed him gently. “Happy all-in day, baby.”
