So you never alter your skin to be grey for the ghoulish effect, you use body paint and makeup? That's dedication Ghoul, especially if you're out doing crime wearing it. Also, I thought you had no eyebrows? (E.g photos of you pictured below) Did you just cover them up with makeup too? Or did you shave them off but grown them back again. I admire your dedication to your aesthetic

Robbers wear masks to avoid having their faces recognized. Have for millennia, as far as I understand it.

In my time, there’s more than just people to keep in mind when it comes to avoiding capture, whether it’s from the cops, people you don’t want to see, or people you’re tailing. There’s cameras everywhere, there’s drones, there’s facial recognition tech that will map your face right down to the pores. Makes it kinda hard to just go out and do stuff on a normal evening when you’re getting cuffed for holding up a hot dog stand when you were 14.

Hence, the makeup.

Of course my skin isn’t grey, and some of the scars are an embellishment. I’m setting out a brand while protecting my privacy on my days off. As for the eyebrows, sometimes I don’t feel like getting out the glue and pancake makeup, so don’t overthink it.

You twips are lucky, by the way. None of that surveillance and AI is as much of a problem…yet.

We’ve crossed paths in juvie, and I have to be honest: she frustrates me.

She’s obviously being taken for a ride by her family and has her doubts about whether to stay loyal to them or go mainstream and live her own life, (the classic crisis we teens go through) but on slappers given the stakes of failure. Her family’s probably not gonna kill her if she dips out for good, but they absolutely will exploit her until she puts her foot down and draws a line, and moreover enforces it.

There’s only so long a guy can watch someone torture themself with internal dilemmas about morals and loyalties and whatever before he starts to lose his sense of sympathy.

Mel, if you’re reading this somehow:

If you’ve been on the fence this long, you don’t actually want to be a rouge.

Your hang up is that you don’t know how to be anything else.

Get some credits saved up however it takes, skip town and start somewhere else, and stop letting yourself get dragged around.

I’ve been busy getting to look after Ms Harley’s boys, Bud and Lou. It’s kind of a hold-up against progress in my own projects, but what the hell, it’s nice to have these guys around. Reminds me of Woof on his low days: he’d kinda forget himself here and there when he got a fresh hit of genes or a bad night of sleep.

She’s doing okay, from what I last saw when I brought these guys in for visitation day.

So, not sure if anyone has already asked this, but do you miss any of your friends/Jokerz members from the future?

Of course I do: you don’t go through as much as we have together without missing one another. They did me a lot of favors when I was just starting out, you know? I can’t just pretend that’s not worth something.

These days, I’m trying not to spend too long wondering if I’m missing people who may never exist or if they’ll never know me, or if the next time I see them I’m gonna be ancient and they’re gonna mug me cause it’ll be easy.

Friendship is complicated.
