ohhhhh i see. i kinda figured it was something like that cause after a while i realized it was only resetting when possession changed or someone scored but when i first noticed it i was like ???????

Little Love 

The branches had been scratching on the side of the house for hours now. The thunder was still rumbling high in the sky while the rain poured down on the pavement quickly. Matt, his wife Caroline, and their two kids, Ethan and Scarlett, were all huddled on the couch trying to stay warm since the power had been off all afternoon, with only a candle as their source of light. Matt felt the heat appear on his face, and he couldn't tell if it was from being bundled under the blanket with his loving family or if it was from thinking about that day when the sun was shining on his face years ago.  

Matt felt the warm sun and the humidity hit his face like when you open the dryer mid-cycle. But none of that mattered since 5-year-old Matt was too busy chasing down little Caroline to make sure he didn't lose to the pretty girl with pigtails in the race that the older kids on the block had started. 

When Matt crossed the finish line right behind the pretty girl with pigtails, he was upset that he lost to her, but he quickly learned that Caroline had a great toothless smile and a cute giggle, so it made it all okay in his world.   

Just as Matt was getting lost in the memories of being young and falling in love, he heard Scarlett shriek, and it snapped him back to reality quick enough to see the candle go out and a strike of lightning light up the large living room. 

Everyone was a little frightened and their hearts were beating more rapidly than usual, so Ethan turned to his younger sister and cracked a joke to reassure her. With that joke, it caused Scarlett's face to light up, for her to show her toothless grin and let out a giggle that was very similar to her mother's. 

Hearing that giggle and seeing that precious smile, eased Matt's anxiety and reminded him of his little love all over again.
