[10-4-2022] You know what the interesting thing is? I've been DJing since 2011 but I was always too shy/insecure to play out. Even now, I'm still pretty insecure (hence the mask. Keep in mind, I've been masked up PRE-Pandemic. The face shield ended being more to stand out/separate from the "normal" face masks). I started to lose my motivation to DJ pre-2020. I even considered quitting entirely and selling off all my stuff. But, like 6 years ago, I was voluntold to play a gig and I was reminded why I even took up the hobby in the first place. So thanks @denverhousemusic for growing to be an awesome crew and letting me tag along for the ride. Thanks #NamakoTEAM and everyone else who believed in me when I didn't believe in myself (you know who you are). And also, thanks @temple_denver for allowing me to express myself. [5-17-2022] So, about Friday Night [5-13-2022].... Unfortunately, I didn't get many pictures of the night but I just wanted to share what I managed to scavenge up. It was surreal seeing my name on the ma-hoo-sive LED wall(s). To be honest, I'm not entirely sure if my set necessarily fits @temple_denver Main-Stage. In retrospect, I probably could've gone a little harder (like my LVL set from a week prior) but I didn't want to overstep my boundaries. However, despite my sound/vibe being a little different, I THINK people enjoyed themselves. I'm grateful to the @denverhousemusic homie @anthny.jacobs for the opportunity to open for @throttle (let alone Main Stage) and I hope I'll be invited back someday. Again, thanks to my friends that were able to make it out. It really means a lot~ Also, I guess the face-shield is a thing now. [5-12-2022] I know it's only been a week but I'm sharing pics from last Thursday [5-5-2022] for ThrowbackThursday. Honestly, it's very surreal to me that I was invite to join the @denverhousemusic lineup for TRANSFORM at LVL Temple: Denver because I'm incredibly hard on myself and don't ever think I'm good enough (even more so since I'm still going through a motivational/creative/inspirational slump since pre-pandemic). So imagine my surprise when I'm seeing/hearing people react positively to my set (so many fist-bumps). Even more surprising is receiving an offer the following day to be support on main stage for one of my favorite producers on Friday, May 13th (that's tomorrow, friends). Last week was my first time playing at Temple and I've already been given the opportunity for main stage? Me? I guess I can't keep calling myself a nobody anymore, haha. But in all seriousness, thank you for believing in me and pushing me forward. Thank you for the continued support and trusting me (even though I don't believe/trust myself)~ And to my former #NamakoTEAM, "Thank You for everything.
