[10-4-2022] You know what the interesting thing is? I've been DJing since 2011 but I was always too shy/insecure to play out. Even now, I'm still pretty insecure (hence the mask. Keep in mind, I've been masked up PRE-Pandemic. The face shield ended being more to stand out/separate from the "normal" face masks). I started to lose my motivation to DJ pre-2020. I even considered quitting entirely and selling off all my stuff. But, like 6 years ago, I was voluntold to play a gig and I was reminded why I even took up the hobby in the first place. So thanks @denverhousemusic for growing to be an awesome crew and letting me tag along for the ride. [9-10-2022] Possibly an unpopular opinion but "posing for pictures is weird to me." I already feel awkward just being in pictures to begin with but if I had to be in a photo, I like those "caught in the moment" shots because it has a level of "rawness/authenticity" to it (but I get it can be difficult to capture because blurry movement and stuff without proper parameters). The idea of "posing in the moment" feels manufactured to me. That isn't to say that there's anything wrong with it; you want to put the best version of yourself out there. I want to ask my old GoGo/Model friends about it. I think it might be a different perspective. But also, I don't know how to pose or what to do with my hands. [7-9-2022] Yesterday, I got an "inverse colors" version of the baseball jacket with my name on it. Honestly, I like the look of the black one a lot more. However, it feels a little tighter than the white one (I ordered the same size). I noticed the buttons on the black one are a little harder to snap. Maybe that's a good thing. Also, I think I messed up on which logo I submitted; it has a small black border on the lettering. I should've used the one without a black border because now, (I think) it doesn't look as clean. Overall, I still like how it mostly turned out. I don't have a large-enough fanbase to order more. It's more for me because I just wanted to see what it would look like. [7-5-2022] PC Build Update: I'm still accumulating parts. Admittedly, been doing WAY too much spending on this project but my laptop BARELY runs so it's kind of necessary. I picked up 2 Samsung 980 PRO PCIe4.0 M.2 SSDs (1TB for my Systems Drive and 2TB for my Projects/Storage Drive). I'll pick up a large capacity drive later but it's not a priority right now. I also picked up a G.Skill TridentZ RGB 32GB RAM kit (DDR4-3200; CL16). I wanna go 64GB but MicroCenter didn't have any more in stock. I went with this G.Skill kit over the Corsair Vengeance/Dominator kit because the TridentZ is compatible with ASUS AuraSync (and I'm essentially building a ROG setup). Plus, it just looks nicer to me. Plus, thermals is kind of important. All I have left to get is an AIO cooler, a GPU, and a case. I know what cooler and case I wanna get but still sitting on the Graphics Card. I'm still researching bang-for-buck for MY specific needs~ Yeah, I certainly did a lot of spending in the last month or so but considering the deals I've been coming across, I couldn't pass em up (especially after some components have gone UP in price). [6-23-2022] So I had a small exchange with my nephew and I saw he was sporting a fedora (I think, technically, it's a trilby, right? Like, a narrower baby-fedora). So I had to dig through the archives and pulled up these gems. On my Story, I said 9-10ish years but, upon further inspection, it's more like 11 years ago [1/22/2011 and 2/8/2011 respectively]. There was a time I was OBSESSED with them. I affectionately called them "The Ne-Yo Hat" because he literally wore them in EVERY video. [6-19-2022] Gee, FB Memories...Thanks for pulling up a pic of me from 11 years ago when I still had [some] shred of confidence left. I was still in decent shape, I still had a jawline, my joints and flexibility wasn't completely deteriorated (I could still do 540), I didn't have a receding hairline, and I could pull off something fashionable. [5-17-2022] So, about Friday Night [5-13-2022].... Unfortunately, I didn't get many pictures of the night but I just wanted to share what I managed to scavenge up. It was surreal seeing my name on the ma-hoo-sive LED wall(s). To be honest, I'm not entirely sure if my set necessarily fits @temple_denver Main-Stage. In retrospect, I probably could've gone a little harder (like my LVL set from a week prior) but I didn't want to overstep my boundaries. However, despite my sound/vibe being a little different, I THINK people enjoyed themselves. [5-12-2022] I know it's only been a week but I'm sharing pics from last Thursday [5-5-2022] for ThrowbackThursday. Honestly, it's very surreal to me that I was invite to join the @denverhousemusic lineup for TRANSFORM at LVL Temple: Denver because I'm incredibly hard on myself and don't ever think I'm good enough (even more so since I'm still going through a motivational/creative/inspirational slump since pre-pandemic). So imagine my surprise when I'm seeing/hearing people react positively to my set (so many fist-bumps). Even more surprising is receiving an offer the following day to be support on main stage for one of my favorite producers on Friday, May 13th (that's tomorrow, friends). Last week was my first time playing at Temple and I've already been given the opportunity for main stage? Me? I guess I can't keep calling myself a nobody anymore, haha.
