This is one of the very first Copper Island Infinity scarves I ever made. ⠀ ⠀ Copper Island is a local name given to the northern part of the Keweenaw Peninsula (projecting northeastward into Lake Superior at the western end of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, separated from the rest of the Keweenaw Peninsula by Portage Lake and the Keweenaw Waterway.⠀ ⠀ It is also the windiest 💨 place in Michigan. ⠀ ⠀ Yikes!!! 😱⠀ ⠀ The Copper Island infinity scarf is simple, functional and beautiful. Where as a scarf, a snood, cover up and shawl. And is still one of my best sellers. ⠀ ⠀ This one spoke to my heart and I kept it. I believe it is a cascade yarn. It’s red with little bits of pink. This mornings catch was cold and falling apart. So to make these crazy stacks of yarn I skewer them. ⠀ ⠀ The skewer then sits between my fingers, and the illusion is created. But because it was only two skeins and freezing I thought I could manage it on my own 🤦🏽‍♀️ shaking in the cold and dropping skeins 🤫⠀ ⠀ So they kind of fell apart. 🤷🏻‍♀️ best plans and all😂⠀ ⠀ Any-who this is one of the new-ish colors from @knitpicks Brava Bulky.
